We had a Great cooked Breakfast every morning.Large Comfy Bed.The Location was Great near to everything.Day at the Races able to walk to the course a ten minute walk.Geoff the Owner went out of his way to make our stay good and had loads of information on the area.
Could not fault we had a Great Time .Geoff was a Great Host and went that extra mile to ensure our stay went well.Nothing we did not like .
4.3
Location fantastic for visiting Thirsk and nearby North Yorkshire attractions. Breakfast was excellent. Geoffrey was an excellent host and nothing was too much trouble.
4.3
Location was central and close to the market square with plenty of eateries. Excellent cooked breakfast with locally sourced ingredients. Room 7 at the back of the house was a good size and peaceful.
We liked the traditional, no frills B & B. Access to parking is via a narrow entrance so not for the faint hearted. 8.30-9AM breakfast was fine for us but no flexibility might not suit some travellers.

Good location
Bathroom was very dated and the shower was awful…no pressure just dribbled!!
4.3
good breakfast good location
bedroom in need of major works wallpaper coming off in the corner due to water ingress.

Right in the centre, close to all amenities. Called to let Geoff know we would be late checking in, not a problem, parking on site, very fitting with thirsk, very quaint, like stepping in a little museum. Room spotless, comfy, all the little extras, toiletries, tea, coffee ect. Breakfast a little early, but very nice,
nothing really, really tight tunnel to drive through to parking area, if you have a big car like ours, would have liked breakfast later, but that's just me.
4.3
very helpful manager and close to centre of thirsk. bedroom was clean, quiet and beds comfortable. breakfast was tasty and my partner’s food intolerances were catered for.

location and spacious rooms also parking was available and it was clean and warm
the decoration was a little dated compared with other recent hotels and B &B’s

Nice quiet room at the back stayed for new year so didn’t hear anything from front Geoff was so pleasant nice to have someone that talks to you on arrival and in the morning It’s a big old lovely house with a lot going on in it very interesting
Because it is old the floor to the Barth room did make a lot of noise but you can’t have anything
4.3
great location and friendly owner
the shower was very poor, it just didn’t work at all. the decor needs a revamp as does the plumbing.
4.3
it has the character of an old house
the walls were thin!

Situated in the center of Thirsk close to all amenities. This was our 2nd visit to the Hotel this year and the high standard hadn't dropped and personal attention to detail remains high. This is a typical small hotel catering for the traditional English holiday maker. Breakfast was 10 of of 10.
There is nothing to dislike.
4.3
Great location. Fabulous breakfast.

Lovely, thank you

Breakfast was delicious. Location to Thirsk centre was spot on a 5 minute amble. The owner was friendly and very helpful with directions due to the major roadworks that were happening. He hand drew a map for us to get onto the road we needed. Will be looking to book again.
There was nothing that could be improved.

The B&B is very well located near the centre of Thirsk. It is very clean and the owner is wonderful. A real character and I am sure he would be a mine of information on the local area.
One of the beds in our room was extremely hard and uncomfortable. Though I guess that's all down to personal taste. The shower was also quite weak and took a while to warm up.
4.3
Comfortable with a great welcome from Geoff who was a mine of information on the local area.
Very little. The pub over the road could have been friendlier but then we are southerners in a Yorkshire local.

Room 6 was large, modern and very comfortable.

Lovely welcome from Geoff who really looked after us
The shower could have been better

Bath
On arrival we agreed we would want cooked breakfast but didn’t realise we would be given it without been asked on the morning what items we would like .
4.3
the hotel is within easy access into the town square with every thing you'll need
the hotel was clean and tidy if a little dated the proprierter was well manered and welcoming.all rooms are up at least one flight of stairs. the bathroom did have a shower but was inside a bath which for myself and my wife found difficult to climb into having slight disabled movement. the breakfast was of a good standard.

Lovely hotel, clean and bed very comfortable, the host was very welcoming. Great location
