I loved my stay here! It is an oasis of calm; a beautiful garden, wonderful animals (dogs and donkeys!) and a large airy room which was super clean. The owner was not there during my stay but the staff were super sweet and I will definitely book here again if I return to the area : )
Happy with all

Pretty much everything, this is a hidden gem in Las Terrenas if you're looking for peacefulness after a day at the beach or hanging out in the busy part of the city. The place only has a few small houses that you will feel like home. Animal lovers you will be in paradise :)
The shared kitchen is a big plus, fully equiped. Not far from the place you can find people selling fruits and vegetables on the side of the road.
Also the place is well located to go to playa bonita, it is a 25 min walk or 5-10 min with a moto taxi.
Finally, it is the perfect place if you are a digital nomad or remote worker, and the internet connection is good enough for your daily tasks, including video calls.
This was not a problem for me but some people might find the place a bit far from north of las terrenas, where animation takes place with bars and restaurants. I was walking there pretty much every day and this is a 25 min walk, but moto taxi can bring you there quickly for a cheap price. On the other side, being a bit far from the North saves you from all the noise of the city, which is pretty impressive here :)

A very nice and relaxed place. Edit & co do a lot of effort to keep the place clean and well. The bungalows are spaceous and functional. Internet works stable and fast. Also good place stay for a longer period of time to do vacation or telework. Its perfect located between the town and playa bonita. Having good sleep due the calm area. Thanks for the nice expiriance!

it is a very special place. our son enjoyed a lot to feed the donkeys , the dogs and cats. the yard / garden is very green and spacious.
the room is fitted with a fan and it was always clean.
the chill out on the balcony in a hammock was also very nice.
you can use the well equipped kitchen and as well the bbq.
all in all it is a very good value for your money , if you don’t expect a luxury 5* resort.
perfectly for individual travelers with nature love.
ask for recommendations- the owners know nice places without mass tourism.
in principle you are a bit off from the busy Main Street.
means you should have a car or scooter.
we spent our time during weekend wich was very noisy till late night due to music in one of the bars.
since you are a bit out , you will hear as well the animal during night such as dogs , chicken ect.

Rooms in nice little cottages in the garden, each with own terrace with a hammock, nice to spend time in. Shared kitchen with everything you need. About 30 minutes walk to 2 beaches, however many local stores and comedors nearby. Close to bus station. We planned to stay for 1 night and stayed for 3. The owner helped us plan 1 of the trips.
Sometimes at night loud music from neighbour hotel. Rooms need a bit renovation, kitchen equipment a little old and used.

You can cook your own meals in the kitchen. Free water, key to open the front gate at any time, a library if you forgot to bring books. They have nice animals, dogs, cats and donkey's. I could pay with different currencies. A table and chair to create an office in the room. Lamp next to the bed. A good ventilator. I could talk in my own language with the host.
You will have to like walking or arrange some transport like a bike or scooter.

Edit is very nice person full of information which was helpfull. Kitchen has everything you need in it. Clean place.
Distance from closest beaches is over 2km. Really really far away. Also it was hard to sleep by the night because of donkeys.

Lovely room with a terrace and hammock, spacious, hot shower. Nice grounds, lot’s of animals (dogs, donkeys), good size kitchen. Edith was really nice, calm and helpful. Close to the bus station!
A bit far from the main town, so it’s a 25min walk or motorcycle ride in.

The garden with all kinds of birds, lots of salamanders and the little cabana porch are amazing, as well as the shared kitchen and the donkeys of course. A peaceful stay. Slightly remote from town and the ocean, but a motor taxi brings you anywhere. a matter of choice and preference of course.

the hosts Edith and her son are super nice person. with a big heart. the place is turning into a little shelter for animals, it’s lovely. the 2 donkeys are making their lives around the caban and the dogs and cats are talking with birds.
in between the craziness of city and 5 minutes scooter from the beautiful beaches.

I liked everything about this property. The owner is incredible! Love the animals in the garden setting and that they are rescue animals! The cabins are super cute and comfortable with their own little porch and Hammock. The kitchen has everything you need to cook your own meals. There are some little stores close by and a bigger supermarket further down the way. Wi-Fi works great in the public areas.
A little far from the beaches but I was able to walk to them. The walk was quite interesting through little local stores. This is a great place to stay!

The owner is very friendly and helpful. She is quite knowledgeable about the area and able to give excellent advice on places to visit and how to get there. I was able to go on an interesting hike with her and her walking group. Fata Morgana is at the end of a quiet street, has a shared kitchen and book exchange. The cabins have a little porch with a hammock. It is very cosy and relaxing. I found it hard to leave when it was time to move on and would have loved to stay longer.
There was really nothing I did not like. During my stay the hot water pressure in my bathroom was very low, but the owner was dealing with it so it is probably fixed by now.
