Comfy beds
Unprepared on arrival, breakfast was served at different times, didn’t like the bacon, sausages were not given. All guests felt uneasy being watched over whilst eating breakfast,

Really warm and welcoming.

I liked the informal atmosphere, the country location and my little grandson was also delighted with our room and meeting the gentle dogs. I liked seeing the horses look over the doors in the stables opposite. The breakfast was excellent, informal and cooked to order. Claire was very hospitable.
A small issue with the bathroom (slow draining basin) will be dealt with.

Really good breakfast, Bedroom was nice, location was great for the area we were visiting,
Little noise when someone else staying next door using bathroom as you can here everything, apart from that it was very nice stay

Like is a strong word. It was just ok. Sufficient.
The take you as you find me attitude from the owner.
The owner saying I get mostly 10's almost passively aggressively saying if you don't give me a 10 then it's you problem not hers.
Not that clean on further inspection. I dropped something behind the bed and it was covered in dust, as well as the pictures and cobwebs in the room.
This has the potential to be a gem, but you definitely felt as if the owner does it to make as much money with little effort. Such a shame.

Nice area.
B&B guests take second place to the horse business. So many failings. Firstly, our dog has anxiety problems and can't be left alone. Asked if we could take the dog in the breakfast room and told no. I would have accepted that had it not been that on the sheet in the room it says their dog can be in that room! The room iteself was tired - radiator off the wall and propped up against said wall. Back of the door needs re-painting. Certain areas had not been cleaned eg the extractor (which didn't seem to work). The sheet in the room tells you not to steal the tea bags! I agree that people shouldn't but to put that in when the cost would have been pence shows an attitude. Beds were very uncomfortable. Decided that we couldn't stay longer than one night. Told them that we were leaving early and no interest was shown in why.

Spacious room with large comfortable bed, hot shower and good wifi connection. Freshly cooked breakfast by Claire the amiable and helpful host. Plean barn is situated in a beautiful tranquil part of Dorset , so peaceful you can hear the silence.
An added bonus was the 'pop up dinner' served on the lawn on a perfect summer's evening

We were greeted in the grounds by a beautiful dog, surrounded by stunning scenery, but both were topped by our fabulous hosts. We will stay here again in a heartbeat, couldn't have been made to feel more comfortable and welcome without all the fussy nonsense you get in some places.
Utterly our fault, but we didn't book early enough to enjoy the pop up supper club (the food looked great, but was fully booked in a few hours). We'll make sure we check sooner next time we book.

Nothing really, the whole stay was just what was needed.

The location was excellent.
There is quite a long drive up to the property which has potholes in it. The rooms were cold.

We liked the views, the bed was comfortable, the power shower was great, the bathroom was ok
The tea pot was dirty. We didn't really want to drink tea at breakfast ( the picture doesn't do it justice). The floor was dusty, and a couple of nails were coming out of the floor. we asked for juice at breakfast one the first day, and we stayed 3 days and never got any. The bedding wasn't great, and there were lots of dog hairs everywhere. The driveway needs redoing as big pot holes neary took my car off the road. The floor in the shower is not the safest.

Breakfast was full English, and when asked for more, because it was so good, no problem at all

Pleck Barn sells itself as a No Frills value for money farmouse B&B and that is what you get. If 5 Star luxury is your "thing" then think again but we found it great. And for dog owners - brilliant. Our dog gave it "excellent" it too.

Location was fabulous and the room was big and spacious and Claire was really helpful and welcoming
Our only draw back was the heating had packed up and it was the coldest spell of the year
Claire found an alternative and provided extra blankets
It would not stop us from returning some day

Lovely quiet comfortable B&B. Just as described
It was very dark in the car park and walking up to the B&B on arrival, but the owner explained that the outside lights were not working and being fixed later in the week, which will be great

This was our 2nd stay, our first time being Aug bank holiday 2020 and now Aug bank holiday 2022. Claire is very accommodating and does a lovely breakfast and catered for my gluten free. Our room was lovely and spacious, comfy bed and powerful shower. Beautiful views, dog friendly, loved her 2 dogs. Would highly recommend.

Location was quiet if somewhat out of the way. Claire was helpful in letting us park the van in one of her fields so the dogs could have shade during the heatwave
The breakfast wasn't very good

The shower was very powerful, loved it much better than mine at home; lovely big room and enough space to walk around without feeling shut in. Lovely big bed....the two days I stayed with my big dog were the hottest days of this century-37.5C when I drove down so it did make things difficult to settle and sleep at night. It is what it says " No Fills - just basic Bed and Breakfast" which were good value for the money paid.
Wooden floor boards in the en-suite...Tiles would have been cool for the dog to lie on; TV although provided was not working properly, but read my book instead. Certain times for check-in and check out, as this is a private home so not allowed back into my room before 4.30 in the afternoons. Breakfast in the Kitchen of the home, would have preferred a separate room for just the guests to eat in. Would have liked the basket of Tea / Coffee/ Milk tubs and biscuits that are usually provided in guest rooms along with the shampoo/soap/shower gel sachets.

We had a wonderful week at Pleck Barn our bed was super comfy and the room was very clean with an en-suite and a lovely breakfast in the morning. The b & B is in a very quite setting with some amazing views. We would love to go back soon.
I truly don't have anything to write that we did not like. Everything was wonderful.
