Obviously an old country pub that had received a stylish makeover. The owners have clearly put a lot of thought into the look of the site. Great level of finish all round. Makes for a very welcome stay for the customer.
Nothing at all, it was all wonderful. Great facilities, roll top bath in my room along with a huge tv to which you can connect your Netflix or other streaming services if you desire. Even a Nespresso machine in the room. Another super thoughtful touch was an iPhone charger in the dresser drawer, fantastic. Only to be Uber Uber picky, given the high standard of amenities in the room it could have done with a small fridge but that is merely a constructive input, not a complaint in any way!

No heating in our bathroom. This was our only negative feeling.

The breakfast chef went above and beyond to help us with a very early breakfast so I could get to work the next day, that really made a difference.

Character and South African theme .
Beef Babootie is still as good as ever!
We have stayed a few times over the last 20 years and loved it the first few times . It’s still okay but feel it has got a bit tired and has lost its wow factor! The service wasn’t quite as impressive as in the past.

Sunday roast was tasty, good variety, plenty of it, and the meat choice was fantastic, cooked to perfection. The serving staff were helpful, and attentive.
Breakfast was also cooked very well, plenty of food, however the serving staff was aloof, distracted, never asked us if we wanted anything else, ie: more coffee.
Generally we were please with everything, very happy.

We had a lovely room, plenty of space, a new bathroom with a good shower (although I was worried the shower tray might overflow, it didn't) and it was all nicely decorated. We had a friend join us for dinner and when we asked for a quieter table (away from the TV screens) we were readily moved. Our meal was really good, I was fascinated by the 'Butchery', I've never come across that before.
Breakfast could have been better. I had smoked salmon, which was excellent, but all the meals revolved around eggs which I know is common but for a none eggy person, not so good. We'd also have appreciated there being a choice of cereals and fruit rather than that being an option on the breakfast choices ('choose one').

The room was beautiful and the staff incredibly friendly and helpful. It was a pleasure staying at the Percy Arms and fantastic value for money
Nothing everything was fantastic

Nice location. Nice room. Nice breakfast.
Would have liked an indoor lounge area where we could have a chat with relatives after Sunday lunch as it was raining and the rugby was on in the only covered area.

The friendly personnel and fine bedlinnen.
Cannot think of anything

Very nice big room and bathroom, both very clean. Comfortable bed. Tea, coffee making facilities and bottles of water. I liked that the windows opened in both the bedroom and bathroom.
Lighting could have been better. Have to turn a few lights on to get good light.

The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful. Car park was large and well lit. Rooms were beautifully appointed, clean and comfortable. It was also very convenient to be able to eat in the restaurant where the food was consistently good.
Nothing.

Dinner and Breakfast were excellent thanks

The wonderful Landlord/Owner... who had great passion and knowledge.
The incredible meat locker, full of 'home cured goodies' and origional South African recipes
The comfortable room, and walk in shower
The ambience amd magical exterior. It was too cold for a BBQ but I can imagine they would be fantastic, under the canvas roof over the decking, with a view!
We would recommend the Kumusha Chenin Blanc a South African wine encapsulating the complexity and intensity, of its homeland.
You would be silly to miss a visit!!

The bed was large and very comfy. Very clean, and large bath and shower. Really nice breakfast. Everything we could want or need. Lovely stay

The pub and accommodation are very characterful. The food at lunch and breakfast was excellent.
Poor lighting in the room made it difficult to read in bed. Light in the bathroom mirror not working, making it difficult for hubby to shave.

Room, Staff, Dinner and Breakfast were all excellent
Nothing worth mentioning.

This is our second visit and between our group we've sampled 3 of the 4 rooms. Wonderfully comfortable bed, pillows, and bed linen. Breakfast is delicious. Try the South African version of a full English. Porridge also excellent.
