Wonderful staff at the bar and reception. Lovely neighborhood, short walk from Guildford center. Comfortable executive room. Good coffee, ok breakfast.
My room had a blocked bathtub, and they weren't able to solve it, apparently it's an ongoing issue.

Good location
We were given an upgrade but the room was not very nice, so we asked for the room we had booked, Executive room, but the shower/toilet was the smallest room I have ever seen, so tiny. We didn’t like to complain again as we had accepted the room but not what I expected an Executive room to be like. Not worth £155 and if we had booked direct with the hotel it would have cost £176.
No bath robes, no hand lotion, one small pack of biscuits . I stayed in a caravan in Camber and the toilet/shower room was larger than this one

The room, clean, convenient central location, friendly helpful staff
The breakfast ( sorry they tried really hard and were very helpful and friendly), but the layout of the buffet , prefer to be able to order coffee, the hot food was ok, gluten free options took some time to come.

Attention to detail is perfect. Staff are very welcoming. This was my second stay and things were just as I had remembered...very very comfortable.
We were not so keen on the food we had. The burger was dry and not tasty. Caesar salad was disappointing without bacon or egg...with a very small amount of dressing dribbled on top... wine was exceptional. Next time we would eat on the high street.

Great reception arriving at the hotel.
Staff attentive and friendly.
Lovely room very comfortable.
Perfect location, easy to walk into town center, and close to train station.
Really nice relaxed stay.
I would have preferred less messaging . Did not see a device for air conditioner .

Friendly and helpful staff & location close to station. The hotel overall was not busy, so it was very quiet and relaxing. Restaurant staff were very professional and attentive on the three occasions we visited.
Shower was hard to control, skirting boards were unclean and there cob webs on the ceiling. The men's toilet down stairs was backed up. Room was a little small for and 'Executive Suite'. A bit pushy about check out time. 1 door pass didn't work but this was resolved on the second occasion.

Excellent modern room with fantastic facilities and lovely bathroom. Bar and restaurant was lovely and all staff were attentive and friendly. Easy parking and reasonably priced for 24 hours. Great location and only a short walk into the town. Totally recommend and will return.

Very comfortable bed. Room decor very nice and spotlessly clean. Loved the Molton Brown toiletries.
Would have preferred a bigger bed.

Lady at check in was very helpful
"Superior Room", Terrible experience. Loud rumbling/whirring noise outside window coming on and off all night - apparently the aircon plays up sometimes. Told hotel was full so no room change possible, apparently if I stay again then I'll be given a "better room", no chance! Long walk to room, up and down many flights of stairs. Bed was ok for one but would be too small for two. Tiny box toilet and shower room, seen better days, obvious historical water damage. Told the bar was shut at 23:40.

This property is well decorated and it’s a great worth of money!
Some facilities are a bit old, but it’s not a big problem though.

Very good breakfast and location
Soap dispenser over bath not reachable if sitting in Bath, needs to be positioned lower.
For an executive room, bed could be bigger.

Lovely clean rooms
Thin walls… fortunately there weren’t very noisy people staying but if there were it would be awful, you can hear next door and beyond!

AVOID. Unbelievably terrible service and the audacity to blame me for the issues is outrageous. I had booked for 4 nights. A Double-bed room under the staircase that had an old mouldy smell which flared my allergies.
The first night I had silverfish crawl on my leg at 1:20 in the morning. I demanded a refund as I felt uncomfortable staying there. There were no other rooms to swap to at the time and they denied the refund as it was “against company policy”. So I had to sleep in the silverfish-infested room for the night. The property manager excused the silverfish in the room by saying it naturally comes with buildings made in the 1950’s, as if I paid 550 pounds plus a £50 holding fee to sleep with silverfish.
(I also forgot my toiletries in the previous room and when I asked room service to bring it up to me they told me nothing was there, although that isn't as damning as the rest of the problems)
The next day I swapped to a different room and, come to shower later in the night, found out this one had no hot water running. I contacted maintenance to fix the issue the next morning. The first plumber comes over and says it looks like I need to move rooms again as this needs time to be solved. He called a supervisor over, who initially also agreed. I spoke to this supervisor about the previous issues I've had and asked if there is someone I can speak to about a refund. He says he’ll see what he can do and heads out. 10 minutes later I go back down and he has a sudden change in tone, claiming that there was no issue and that I was “lying to try and get my money back”, that this was just “an operator issue” (even though his other colleague, A PLUMBER, also tested it out) and that “I had to come down here for nothing, you’re just wasting my time”. At that moment I handed my keys and left.
The sheer audacity to blame me for this is outrageous, and I now feel morally obliged to warn people about staying at your shoddy establishment. Had you maybe refunded me the first moment I asked, I might have not had to write this review, and just excused the silverfish as some one-off problem. But some things go beyond company policy, customer satisfaction comes before anything but it seems to be so far down on your list that you disrespected me in your hotel lobby.
They are now refusing the refund even though I left early.

Location was good
Basement executive room was poorly lit, felt enclosed and at £192 for the night, not worth the price.

Location good, nice breakfast, helpful staff
Very small room and en suite for the price, looks very dated. Stairway up to rooms was filthy, room fairly clean but very old looking.

Well located hotel. Room was adequate and pretty much as described. Bar looked fine but we did not use in.
Check in was slow but I think it was down to two group who had not preregistered.
Bathroom was small and cramped but adequate.
Lack of milk for tea and coffee.

Good location. Room decorated tastefully.
Bathroom smelt like drains. Shower seal on outside looked grubby/stained. Very small bathroom. Shower water cold. Breakfast not great.

Location . Rooms were small but comfortable
Rooms were hot in July . Those with small windows quite unbearable and unable to sleep.
Staff varied greatly . Check in reception staff seemed almost unhappy I was there . Other staff seemd kinder. Has been similar experience other time I have stayed , leaves you it knowing what to expect

5.0 / 10.0
The location is the only good thing about this hotel.
We asked to enter a little earlier than 15:00h it was possible but paying, leaving the room at 11h00 in the morning, it has no sensitivity or courtesy, it is cold and almost military. Expensive hotel for the quality it presents and a lot of lack of friendliness.
3.0 / 10.0
The location is great.
The breakfast is probably the best English Breakfast in town.
The majority of staff was also very friendly. The lady from Hong Kong was great and the two gentleman working alongside her were also very nice.
A 4* Hotel without a gym, without sports channels in the room or in the bar area, no piano or pool table in the bar, no entertainment options, and worse, with no tolerance for early check in or late check out (I mean, free of charge), doesn’t deserve a 4* rate. WAY too overpriced.
Single bed is way too small and the blanket is shorter than the bed.
