Second time as wonderful as the first

Second year in a row at Lord Byron, this time with our daughter and her boyfriend. Another wonderful stay, living as part of the family hospitality even more than staying at a hotel. Excellent cooking for all meals, quiet lodging in comfortable rooms, the pool and the river for swimming, and within reach of many interesting attractions.

Gradevolissima e rilassante esperienza nel mezzo di un viaggio piuttosto faticoso.

Sosta di un solo giorno (viaggio itinerante), mi è piaciuto tutto: la posizione, la piccola piscina davanti alla camera, l'accoglienza, il prezzo, la camera, la pulizia, la cucina.... Si sta benissimo, meriterebbe un soggiorno più lungo.

Wir würden diese Unterkunft auf jeden Fall wieder wählen wenn wir wieder in die Nähe kommen sollten

Aussergewöhnlich! Die Lage, zwar direkt an einer viel befahrenen Straße; dadurch auch gut erreichbar; hervorragend. Ein riesiges Areal, aber da die Appartements der Straße abgewandt liegen, trotzdem sehr ruhig. Schöne Zimmer, schönes, modernes Bad, schöner Pool, schönes Panorama. Was will man mehr? Die Gastgeber sehr zuvorkommend und nett, die Küche, bzw. der Koch ein Traum! Alles frisch zubereitet und sehr geschmackvoll. In der parkähnlichen Anlage gibt es auf der einen Seite einen Olivenhain, auf der anderen Seite wachsen Granatäpfel, Zitronen, Palmen, Zypressen, …. Sehr schön, aufgeräumt, gepflegt und sauber. Hier könnte man es auch länger aushalten! Das Frühstücksbuffet verdient auch diesen Namen, sehr gut!

Clean and pleasant.

Breakfast was perfect and the night time meal was very good. Quiet location just outside town and the room was clean and tidy, staff friendly.

For the price I felt the place was rather rundown and tired. The gardens need mowing, the whole place needs a bit of a spruce-up and it's a long walk from the carpark to the rooms.

Idilic location by the road to Tepelene and Gjirokaster..Near river and in the middle of fig and olive trees. You can't park near the house there is some few meters away from main building. The room is clean, with nice toalet and shower. The terase between the trees with view on a mountains. You can chill out in a pool in the room is enough towels. We sleep well and in the morning suprise. Excelent and rich breakfast on the tabel. Nice talking with the owner and his family. We'll be back...

Perfect

Thank you so much for a beautiful time! We had a great stay. The family just tried everything to make our stay perfect and were very helpful. The breakfast and dinner were incredibly delicious (!!!), freshly cooked, most fruits and vegetables come from their own harvest, home made ice tea and olive oil. The location is perfect to explore the area or just relax on the beautiful property. The rooms and the common area were very clean and even more beautiful than the pictures. I can highly recommend coming here, I wish we could have stayed longer.

Great agro tourism

Really nice property directly bordering the wild river, owned by a very personable and hospitable family. The dad used to own a restaurant in tirana and only uses really high quality local ingredients. Great food! More people in Albania should apply this concept!

Great location, very clean. Comfy bed. Fresh air. Food is local and tasty. The pool was not ready but still too soon to have a swim this time of the year. Hosts were very kind and welcoming. Great place to relax or sightsee.

Wifi signal could be better. Also just for a suggestion : the food bill should have more details in it just to be more clear on what costs how much. Nevertheless, prices are good for the quality you get.

Absolute must-stay for anyone who loves hiking in nature and experience life in Albania.

This guesthouse has set a new standard for me. It was incredible. Lovely room, comfy bed, AC, hot shower, pool, amazing views, delicious homemade food for breakfast, lunch and dinner (very affordable too) and of course the dogs were really cute. I wish I stayed longer than 4 nights and am already planning to go back

A little countryside oasis between mountains

Place outside of nice Tepelene town, between mountains, next to a river. Has a big area with olive trees, figs and other. There is a pool, many places to sit to admire the view. This is a place to relax and take time off. There is a restaurant, so no need to leave the premises. Food at the restaurant was good, breakfast was nice, there are vegan options. Rooms are nice, modern and comfortable. Staff was very nice and helpful. And the cats, there are four very friendly cats! :)

Too close to the road and therefore can hear cars passing by, but rooms are further from the road and not a big problem really. Rooms are a bit dark. Everything else was supergood!

For this price, it's definitely recommended if you swing by the area.

The staff was extremely nice, very good food in the restaurant for dinner, and very good breakfast as well. The place was super clean and comfortable.

The wi-fi didn't work (both on our phone and the TV) but it's probably better to enjoy the stay...the swimming pool was clean but the water was a bit too cold (not that it's their fault).

If Albania again, then this dream of hotel!

It is difficult to put into words how incredibly great this hotel is! The staff is very courteous, friendly and helpful. You feel very welcome from the first minute. The hotel has an indescribably beautiful location, everything is very clean, spacious and lovingly made. We didn't have a beach in Albania that was nearly as beautiful as the river bed right at the hotel! The rooms are large and modern and the view is very nice! The whole facility is lovingly laid out and beautifully maintained! The city is small and lovely, the world is still in order and not as crowded and artificial as on the beaches. Another reason to visit this hotel is the restaurant. We have never eaten such good pasta in life !!! You can taste that the cook does his job with a heart! A lot of things are produced by yourself and you can tell that this cook understands his craft! Really highest level of taste! Unfortunately we could only stay 2 nights because we were already at the end of our trip. If we had known how great it was we would have come earlier and stay longer! Recreation is redefined in this hotel !!! If we visit Albania again we will spend a lot of time there! Thanks to the whole team for the great stay

There were problems with the internet. It was a little annoying because you have already forgotten how to live without a cell phone. But it made us not have a cell phone in hand and to enjoy everything else much better! Actually, that's also a plus point;)

The ONLY cause for complaint was that I slipped on the wet tiled steps as I entered the swimming pool and bruised my arm. I was lucky - it could have been a lot more serious. Arbur, a senior member of the staff, saw the incident and, when I spoke with him the next morning, he assured me that the pool was being emptied as we spoke with the intention of making the steps a less slippy entrance. Otherwise, what was there not to like? Everything was spot on

A delightful, pretty hotel with fabulous food, lovely pool and river swimming with excellent rooms.

The staff were incredibly warm kind and accommodating. We arrived early and they welcomed us. The beds were extremely comfortable and we had a delicious evening meal. The breakfast was an excellent buffet with a wide selection of fruit cereals meats cheeses and local dishes. We particularly enjoyed the family made mountain tea beverage and the best olive oil I have ever tasted!
