Great Location, just at the top of a lovely beach!
The Staff was great, they let us checkin early and leave our bags after checkout!
The bar at the place has really good prices.
Good Value for money
The rooms are don't have AC, so it's really hot. The mattresses are super thin so quite uncomfortable. There's no hot water, not that you need it.

Everything was perfect. Beautiful time and wonderful people.

Very basic cabana few meters above the beach, you get what you pay for, + working WiFi!
Not much privacy, even though we were lucky not to get any party animals during our stay, if there would be any, no sleep guaranteed

Proximity to the beach is nice. Its a relaxed place with a great view of the sea. Beds were comfortable. WiFi was strong (rare for México in my experience). Drinks and snacks were a really good price. The bar team were very friendly.
It didn't feel clean and there were no hand towels at the sink. Dormitory room doors didn't close so you couldn't leave anything valuable in them. Not enough power points for all guests to charge items. The fan in my dorm was old and rusty and you wouldn't benefit from it if you were on the top bunk.

Super nice bungalow just above a very nice beach. Kitchen and common areas with views of the sea.
No mosquito net over the bed, we had super small insects falling on our face from the room all night. In addition, the staff was partying in the common areas 10m from our bungalow (which is semi open so we hear everything) until 2.00 am. We slept super bad. Kitchen was super dirty. Shower had very low pressure.

The place is absolutely amazing, the location is perfect just next to the entrance to a beautiful Beach, rooms are spacious and comfortable, wifi works great, bar nad kitchen are great, but the best part that makes the stay unforgettable is the staff! People who work there are great, helpful and charming. Spend hours of our stay with them and they made our time at the hostel so amazing that we didnt want to leave and still miss this place. They all do a Great Job, especially Nacho, who is a person that makes you want to stay forever!

The location was stunning and the staff were very kind and helpful. They allowed me to change my reservation when there was no surf and Carazilillo.
This is EXTREMELY basic accommodation, below is my experience.
1. The dorms are cabanas with doors that stay open most of the time. When I was there no lockers were available. I didn't feel comfortable leaving ny passport, money, go pro 11 and mini 3 drone just sitting in the unlocked room.
2. The toilets do not provide soap to wash your hands with and often there was no toilet paper. Cold water only shower.
3. I woke up with some bites (not mosquitos) that were bleeding and looked around my bed to try find what bit me. There were lots of spiders. Please note that the property did fumigate for bugs that day. Worth checking around your bed if you stay here.
Also the rooms are dusty.
4. One powerpoint in a 6 bed dorm. This is not at all practical for people to charge their phones. Creates a weird vibe in the room as everyone needs the power point, it is always in use and I felt very uncomfortable removing someone else's phone to charge mine.

location, you take just a few steps down and you are on the beach!

Excellent location for one of the best beaches in Puerto Escondido and near lots of nice restrictions and cafes.
The beds weren't the most comfortable.

The location is amazing, as it is super close to Carrizalillo Beach and also restaurants/cafes.
Room and beds were okay.
Feels like it could be an awesome hostel if they put a bit more effort into it.
The bathrooms are kind of dirty, doesn't really feel comfortable.
Same with the kitchen.

The location was amazing! Literally at the top of the stairs that lead down to an idyllic cove. And they had a cat.
The staff seemed like I was an inconvenience, even saying good morning all I got in response was a minor raise of the eyebrows. The internet was patchy unless you were right by the bar. The mattress wasn't great, I'm not generally too picky with where I sleep but if I'm paying for it I expect a mattress younger than me, this one didn't feel like it. You can hear the other dorms, mine was in the middle and I could hear what people either side were saying.

Close to the beach.
I would only stay here if planning to surf every day in carrizalillo, if not, it is a bit far from la punta, centro and zicatela.
Not the cleanest, a bit run down, with all the space and the location could be much better.

Just the location
Not clean, staff is like having a holiday, we thought that they were customers. Beds were not clean. When we took the pillow there were 4 spiders under the pillow and they were Alive o I don’t think they change or control at all. And plus they wrote that they have kitchen but it is really bad and dirty

Location is cool of course, on top of the cliff, seeing over the beach.
I stayed 3 nights in bungalow literally next to kitchen area. Bungalow doesn't have real walls, it's fence type of material, what would be fine, only I could hear and see everything. Especially in night when people hangout or go for cooking at middle of night, literally at your head.. so it was hard to sleep due to noises. Yes, I understand its hostel, but sorry, u must make some proper wall dividing bungalow and kitchen.
In stormy weather, rain gets in the room a bit through fence type walls, but as it's crazy hot there, I didn't mind.
Shower has very low pressure.
Can pay ONLY in cash.

I have stayed in both in Zicatela and in Carrizalillo. The one in Carrizalilio is fine, but the one in Zicatela is dirty and not comfortable at all.
I had to work remotely and also had problems with internet connection (but people say it is a Puerto escondido thing)

Great location and relaxed vibes
Bathroom are very bad and rooms a bit stiff

You can’t get closer to the beach than this. Incredibly affordable, helpful staff, surprisingly quiet at night for a hostel (perhaps because of COVID regulations?) Restaurants and stores nearby.
Minor tings but you get what you pay for so i can’t really complain. However, one of the outlets there did burn out me and my friends iPhone chargers permanently :/
