I really appreciated the staff they were very helpful and kind. Ashanti in the office made my stay very comfortable. She was very attentive and made sure I had everything I needed. She also gave me information about the island and how to get around.
The sheets could be replaced they were getting old. The room I stayed in was great but I didn't like seeing some bugs.I would have liked if there was a microwave in the kitchen.

Good location. Lots of ants you need a can of insecticide to keep from crawling on you at night. Bed comfortable. Shower handles broken. Shower faucet is not pleasant. Good value for the price.
Noise. Sundowners makes a lot of noise

Great location close to everything and directly opposite a small beach

Perfect location.
There’s a kitchen available for guests.
The price is unbeatable, you can’t find anything cheaper in that area.
We were told that the cleaning staff would clean our room daily and change our bedsheets after 3 or 4 nights. None of these things happened (if they actually did clean, they didn’t do a thorough job).
Our bungalow smelled like urine and it seemed to come from under the floor, where we saw a huge rat hiding one night (it was a rat, not a guatusa).
Some of the staff members were not really friendly, except for the lady who checked us in and gave us lots of useful information.
The kitchen could be cleaned better.
I know this is not the hotel’s fault but there’s an incredibly loud family with kids living next door, and it’s something to keep in mind while booking.

close to the beach and dive center, very comfortable

Ideal place to relax morally and physically...
All is perfect

Nice environment around the room , the room are so fresh , even no need a/c
My room was a share house and for the desing of it was very noise at night

Perfect location, close to the bars but still quiet. Owners were really friendly and the snorkeling from the dive boat was great. Only booked three nights but stayed for ten!

The staff are excellent as well as the location. The feel of the property made you feel as if you were away from all the hustle and bustle but it was close to all the West End vibes.
Ants!!! But that's expected in this location. Just need to keep all foods in the refrigerator and you'll be fine.

Very good experience if you understand it's not luxury and ultra comfort what the establishment is selling you. It's a place more in tune with island's life. It's cool because you can meet other travelers in the common areas. Also, the location is in my opinion the best on the island.
I wouldn't say anything I didn't like. If I have to get picky I would say that there's a bar across the street and it can get a bit noisy late at night. But again, it doesn't damage the experience and it's not the hotel's fault. Also I guess all the island is full of night bars so there's really no way to escape it.

cow webs and spiders everywhere including in my room.
Animal droppings on the beds and around the bathrooms
terrible kitchen service
Noisy common areas, could not sleep
indifferent staff attitude
Served me a cold cup of coffee, when I brought it to the attention of the staff she shrugged and did nothing !
Maybe this place was once an ok place, but seems the management has let it go.

Everything was great 😊
Nothing to complain
4.0
it’s comfy, there is a hot bath, the kitchen is fine, the location is amazing and the price is fair enough
there is a good Wi-Fi close to reception but in our room was terrible. it’s not a good place if you need to work, specially because does not have power plug for computer in the common areas. Other thing, if you pay using credit card ir costs at least 4usd per transaction. They didn’t say this for us and I think they should alert this kind of thing

Location next to Sundowners and Sun Divers.
The two barking dogs next door.

Good diving + accommodation combination: lower rate for diving
Be prepared to be swarmed by mosquitoes: bring insect repellent

one has to keep in mind that this is a "real" basic hotel, like going away to camp type stay. We enjoyed our 3 day stay but anything longer then that would prove difficult. I could bare no AC or TV for the 3 days but not longer then that. We did enjoy the tranquil setting and jungle atmosphere and it was within walking distance to many resturants. Nice and helpful staff
beds are thin and firm/hard. not good for people with back problems like us

the position is very nice in the half moon, quiet but in the center.
the place is basic, but ok.
the stuff is incompetent - the girl at the reception when asked a question replies only I don’t know. where we can get scooter? i don’t know, what is a standard rate? i don’t know! the ferry times? i don’t know …
the owner also tried to charge us 4% extra as credit card fee, although not mentioned in booking. booking reimbursed us but still felt like the last straw ( she also said we should be grateful for that, while we paid with the credit card everywhere on the island with no issue)

The garden is nice, the cabins themselves are nicely laid out and clean.
1. Cabin location
unfortunately, the serenity the pictures and descriptions try to convey are very misleading. I stayed in cabin #6. while the tropical garden is lovely, the fact that the cabin is only separated by a wire fence from the neighbouring residential property renders the entire tranquil setup completely useless. the porch of the house next door is literally right behind the cabin. since everything is open air, their myriad of children and dogs sound like they are in the room next to you. screaming children and dogs barking and whining from 6:30 am until 10 pm. I fell asleep to whining children and woke up to them screaming and crying. while the cabin itself was just as described, the toilet seat lid was just loosely laid on top as it was broken. I had to put it to the side and just keep the toilet open. the soap dispenser (only soap provided) didn’t work either.
2. Staff
after my first night I went to the front desk to see if another cabin on the other side of the property was available for my remaining two nights. the person there was incredibly unhelpful. why she even worked there is a mystery to me. all she said was to email Mitch about it. seriously? first of all - if a guest tells you they are not happy with their accommodation, it’s your job to fix the situation, not put it on the guest. second, who is Mitch and what is his contact info? no explanation, no concern, just a “I don’t care about anything” attitude
I went back to see if they rent snorkeling equipment, as they run a diving school. answer: no, we don’t. ok, can you maybe tell me where I can rent it? answer: no idea. thankfully there was a friend of hers there who gave me a tip.
I then asked about a snorkeling tour. answer: you can pay $10 and go with the divers. well, that’s not what I asked for. diving tours will cater to divers, snorkeling tours to snorkelers. hi hats all she had for me. isn’t a hotel supposed to help guests make the most of their time?

value and location.
bugs, but that's part of the nature.

it was fine. the location was nice. staff were friendly but always looked miserable.
no WiFi in the rooms ever. I was in the bungalow at the back and the room was never cleaned or sheets changed.
the neighbor has a loud dog and a very bright light that shines directly into the room. I had an eye mask and ear plugs so crisis averted.
unclear pricing about the diving. I was very clear upfront about my limitations and after the fact the price was increased. the very passive aggressive owner curtly said she didn’t think she should have to tell every customer the details. ummm apparently she does!!! clarity and honesty leaves no room for misinterpretation. I put my foot down. either you’re upfront or you take the hit. she said no one else has ever said anything before. I very much doubt that. If that is the case then she’s had a good ride. anyway there’s always a first time.

Nice cabin right in West End, basic but clean and comfortable.

Good location. Cabins have a shared kitchen, bathroom and porch.
Our room and bathroom were dirty from the start and were only cleaned once during our stay because we asked for it. Kitchen was dirty and wasn’t cleaned properly. You’d expect more if you stay for 10 days.

There is a special ambiance about the place. Easy to meet people at breakfast.

The cabins are really nice and comfortable! The maids offered to clean them everyday. Clean kitchen for everyone to use. Great value for money
The EXTERNAL laundry service which was on the notice board. Use with caution, not only is it over priced but they ruined our clothes & had to be thrown away.

My cabin was so cute and just perfect for what I was looking for. Native Sons diving is excellent, a really great company to dive with while staying at Chillies!
