Staff were awesome, making sure I could get checked in quickly for last orders in the kitchen. Kitchen staff clearly know what they're doing as the food was delicious, veggies perfectly cooked, strong Parma game 👌🏼
Room was fine and priced appropriately.

very noisy from about 3am with trucks constantly driving past

Simple, cheap, clean and comfortable. Great economical accommodation, excellent food downstairs, easy DIY breakfast. This is what staying in a pub should be.
It's a charming historic building, which comes complete with squeaky floors and thin walls - but you can forgive those and enjoy the experience.

Room was small but perfect. A beautiful old property with creaking floors. Door from our room opened onto the huge shared wraparound balcony.
The staff - Tate, Courtney and especially Chris were extremely welcoming and had a great sense of humour. Definitely recommend booking a table at the restaurant as it’s busy for a reason. Food & service was really good. Took our desert up to sit on the balcony and watched the sunset. The free help yourself breakfast was perfect.
Shared bathroom was, although clean initially, old and tiles needed updating. Only one shower and toilet per gender - lucky for us there was only one other couple staying but unfortunately for me the lady vomited in the toilet and had a rough attempt to clean it up!! Not the hotels fault as it happened later in the evening.
The only other issue was the aircon that strangely made a very loud buzzing noise every 5-15 minutes from 12.30am to 4am and again at 7am, even after we turned it off completely at 2am 🤷‍♀️. We reported it to the one staff member around the next morning. Again, not much they could do after the event.

Would have liked tea and coffee facilities in room and a bar fridge. Air conditioner needed maintenance. Room was very clean.
