The host was excellent; very accommodating, friendly, explained everything well. I felt at home in this hostel. The facilities were very good (toothpaste, towels etc.). Gordita was also lovely. Thank you very much.

Awesome owners, so kind and welcoming. Loved the dog Gordita. Nice home and beautiful creative garden. The location is very convenient for airport access so it was perfect for an overnight with a flight the next morning. If you're staying longer, you might want a place that's more walkable for major tourists sites. Or you could Uber from here. Great value.
The location has limited access to vegan food. Which of course only affects a small percentage of us.

The Hostel is very close to the airport and David is so nice and warming. I would recommend a stay anytime. Especially if you just arrive from a long flight and need a bit of time to arrive mentally without the crazy of Santiago.
David and the other people are incredibly nice and do everything to make your stay special. A very nice start to Chile ❤️

They have everything you need - breakfast, water refill area, outdoor seating area, and they supply anything you need for showering. The owner was helpful with getting food recommendations and figuring out my Uber to the airport. The location is convenient if you need to go to the airport in the morning.

I picked the location because of the price and is relative closeness to the Santiago airport. Right from the moment I booked the accommodation, David, the gentleman who runs the outfit, has been in regular contact with me, answering my questions in English and offering practical advice on making my trip to Santiago easy.
Meeting David upon my arrival, he made me feel like I was staying at a friend's house. All the amenities are modest in size but really well maintained. Everything works at this facility and they work well. And little things like fruits, coffee and other things are provided free of charge in good quantities around the lobby and kitchen for you to take as much as you please. I literally felt like I was staying at an old friend's house.
I was a little bit worried about visiting Chile, being my first time in the entire South American continent and knowing no one there but At the end of my first day, thanks to David, I felt like a local having visited Plaza de Armas, Palacios de la Moneda etc and returned based on his direction.
If you are reading this and you need to visit Santiago on a budget but needs to feel welcomed in a warm accommodation, book the Hostal Sol y Luna. You would be glad you did. I know I am.
Nothing. I got way more than what I paid for.

David is more than just a great host. He is e great person! So friendly helpful and nice.
The place itself is very cozy and comfortable. Well taken care of and very tidy and clean! The bed was comfortable and the shower great.
Close to the airport which was perfect because I arrived late and left early. Don’t know things about the neighborhood.

The hostal is perfectly located for airport transfer stays (10mins by Uber). However, I would even choose this place to stay for a city trip: the neighbourhood is calm, the ride into the center by metro is easy (station 30mins walk or 10 mins by cab then direct line into the center), the hostal feels like a cozy home where you can relax in the beautifully arranged outdoor areas and the guys running the place are just amazingly friendly and helpful!

The most friendly and welcoming host I've ever met in my entire life. It's a lovely little homestay / hostel where you are immediately going to feel like home. The host told me multiple times that this is my home now and was always extremely friendly and supplied me with everything I could ever wish for. I really cannot recommend this place enough. People like this make traveling 10x as good!

David was really responsive to any questions and helped me organise my transport to and from the airport. The hostal was a great location for an airport stop over, and a lovely place; really homely, great welcome and a lovely outdoor patio to enjoy the breakfast.

Very nice owner, the breakfast arrangement and flexibility was great. Definitely would book again when flying to or from Santiago.
Bit noisy street and no curtains, so quite light inside.

Very basic place close to the airport. Don't have much to say, I would sleep there again if I need to spend night between flights, but not otherwise. Hosts were very nice given that some guests had early flight - got up early, arranged some food, called taxi for us.
