Perfect location, amazing view, beautiful old villa with old furnitures and huge space.
All in all, they were friendly and helpful, although there were several circumstances that affected our stay. First of all, the lady who took care of us asked us when we want to have breakfast, 8:30AM will be ok? I was surprised, we are entitled to stay there and check out until 10:30AM, why should we pushed to eat breakfast earlier? So, we did not have a chance at all for having a nice morning rest and wake up when we want to wake up. After that, around 7:30AM, I am hearing noise from the kitchen. Then I I see a lady walking through my terrace as the storage room was just next to out room for getting her cleaning spray, because she needs to clean the room next to us at 8AM. So if you want to be naked or not disturbed, you have no chance. If she was not walking on the terrace, then we have heard her hoovering on the other side from the corridor. Then, we wanted to leave our luggages there. To sum up, I am a big traveller and I normally book really good places for stay, but this one I am really not satisfied with. We had no chance to rest in the morning without any disturbances.

Patrizia was a most accommodating host, who was a pleasure to deal with. The house is in a very good location with spectacular views over the water from the common areas. We walked by the seaside before dinner and were able to purchase a few last minute essentials prior to a wedding from shops close by.
Breakfast was great: delicious pastries, freshly squeezed orange juice, tea and coffee made us feel at home. Patrizia also prepared a couple of special pieces for us at breakfast which we really appreciated.
The bathroom was spacious and exceptionally clean. We didn’t use the laundry facilities due to lack of time but we did hang our bathers out to dry!
Prior to our trip to Taranto we travelled through Puglia and Patrizia helped us plan that, even though Taranto was the last stop. We had a fantastic time and will be back again soon.

Nice an quiet room in a quality B&B located opposite the city castle. Nice view from the balcony facing the sea and the castle.

Huge and very comfortable apartment, overlooking the sea and the castle. Having had to cancel twice due to Covid, I was looking forward to meeting Patrizia but sadly she was away - we were beautifully looked after though by Daniela, who went to the trouble of making sure our car was parked in the right place just outside, and suggested places for dinner. Our room was excellent and breakfast delicious. It is on the fourth floor, but there is a lift - and the view is great.

Ai Marinai it’s the ideal place to book! The location is perfect: very close to the historic center and Aragonese Castle and it’s situated in a nice part of the city, a few steps away from shops, restaurants, supermarkets and the seafront promenade. The bus station is right across the street.
The flat has nice rooms (cleaned every single day), a very spacious and elegant lounge, a terrace with a spectacular sea view where we had breakfast and the best cappuccino!
Our host Patrizia is a wonderful person in every way. She was kind, attentive and available for every request that we had, recommending us the best places to visit, the restaurants; she did everything to make our stay as enjoyable as possible.
We would definitely recommend this place and would love to return here.
Thanks again for a wonderful stay!

The hosts were excellent, not just being helpful for navigating around the city, serving breakfast, giving a native's perspective on the city, etc, but also for being nice, accomadating people and you felt like they wanted you to have a good and comfortable stay.
The place was clean - breakfast on the balcony had an excellenet view.
There were small things that were a bit rough, like the door being a bit difficult to close, etc, but it was all overshadowed by how nice the hosts were.

Breakfast, attitude, location and everything else was perfect

We enjoyed everything. The room was very comfortable. The whole flat is really nice, and has an outstanding view on the sea and the castle. The location is perfect - close to the historic center and to the modern district. Moreover, Patrizia is a very welcoming host.

Patrizia was a superb host - very quick in answering questions and very hospitable. The location of the apartment was perfect for our visit to Taranto. My partner wanted to visit Castello Aragonese and Ai Marinai was the best location for our base. The apartment was very beautiful and tastefully furnished.
