Beds were clean. Nice area. Lovely outdoor space. Fantastic meals!
Rooms very sparse, furniture broken and past their sell by date. Bathroom smelled. Sink, toilet and shower cubicle not very clean. Decor in bathroom needed painting and mould apparent in a lot of areas.

Great location. Lovely comfy bed. Friendly staff and good breakfast.

Nice old town. Nice bar. Room good enough for one night stay.
We arrived on Sunday just before 17.00 - hungry - and even though their page say restaurant open till 18.00 - they just said - no food left. Go eat at another hotel. Even though there was so many people still eating and drinking. So disappointing. Ended up eating cup noodles in the room.

Good location and you can have dinner in the pub downstairs. Old pub style lovely! Close to shops, chemist ecc Wardrobe, kettle, towels all provided. Lovely view from our window . Hiredryer provided
In our twins room, there wasn't any small light close to our bed to put on when you needed it at night. Only 1 big light that you need to walk close to the bedroom door so not helpful at evening time. No chairs in the bedroom.

Room was the worst room we have ever stayed. There was nothing to like.
The bathroom was like walking into a cupboard. The smell that was coming from the drains was foul. I slept with a sheet over my head, it was so bad we were tasting it, I’m not exaggerating.I could say a lot more.
I did mail the Manager but I did not receive a response hence the review on here.
For them to let that room to us was offensive
The only thing good was the bedding

It is ideally situated for visiting relatives. It’s a central location to all Highworth facilities. Has own parking.
Towels and bedding clean.
Access via the ‘taproom’ bar and smoking area. The shower overflowed due to blockage. The sink was stained and not as clean as it could be. General refurbishment needed.
3.6
Friendliness of staff, convenience of location and price
Bed wasn’t particularly comfy and additional pillows would’ve been helpful.

Initially found the building charming.
Closer look the interior was very scruffy. Toilets were very clean.
Carpets very worn and tatty.
Many minor steps and ‘tending towards dangerous, changes in floor levels.
Shower cubicles were just plainly disgraceful!!
A great deal of mould in the shower.
However, the staff were wonderful.
The room rates were ideal for the scruffy decor.
Would I book again??? Never.

Convenient to where we were meeting friends
Room was very tired, needed an overhaul. Carpets were absolutely disgusting and I mean revolting and put us off everything else in the room. Asked for a quiet room and had tv/football blasting out in the marquee when we arrived late afternoon. Beer barrels being delivered and collected and rolled around at 7.30am right outside our room. Bathroom needs completely updating. Could do with a splash of colour around the room and bathroom, it was like a beige buffet everywhere. Food orders finish at 4.30pm, don't do brrakfasts and also told couldn't have drink in the evening in the bar as 100 people turning up for a quiz night. Pub areas looked tired and grubby as well. Would not stay again.

I had stayed at the Saracens hotel for a get away with my partner as we was going to the Cotswold zoo which was around 25-30 minutes from the hotel. Saracens hotel was clean and the staff were very helpful to tell us how to get into Swindon as we was going to the town center for a cocktails.. the garden area at the hotel was very nice we had sat out in the cobble stone area in the evening for drinks but in the inside area they have tv which was showing the cricket and other sport events.

Location was great for our purposes. Pub was clean hospitality was pleasant. The rooms where a good size. They where extremely helpful and found 6 of us room in the restaurant with late notice really really nice food. Kids said wifi was great. Breakfast was really good. More than I expected for the price.
Did not realise it was so busy and noisy. That's probably me not studying it better. Booked three rooms put us on two floors a bit inconvenient but ok.

The 2 young girls that were working were very pleasant and the room was cheap enough.
Carpets in rooms were filthy, bathroom dirty, very uncomfotable mattress, no breakfast available.

food was amazing, staff were so friendly, the room was good could do with a fresh coat of paint and the carpet cleaned. but such a lovely place and we will defiantly be back.

Great pub in a quaint town. Friendly staff and delicious large good portions.
Ease of breakfast in the morning wasn't excellent, I didn't really get the details.
3.6
The pub has lots of character and is in a great location in Highworth.
The bathroom had an overpowering smell of mould to the extent I had to keep the bedroom window open all night. The shower leaked onto the floor and through the tiles.

Entry and shown into room. Continental breakfast was fine and member of staff helpful.
No complaints

We were staying in Highworth for a family party. We managed to book the last room at The Saracens and other people had to stay at the far more expensive pub further up the road. Our room was basic but totally acceptable. Shower was lovely. We did not have much of the included continental breakfast as our group had booked the Sunday lunch. The roast was amazing value for money at £13 per head and there was plenty for everybody. A massive doggy bag was taken away for the dog. Staff were all really friendly. I would definitely stay there again.

We had a lovely one night stay at Saracens Head Hotel. The room and bed linen was clean. It was calm and quiet throughout our stay. Staff are helpful and friendly. We had the best sleep here.
Stairs were a little narrow but that was pretty common in all accommodations in the UK.
