Poor

The bed was comfy.

It was small, shower hard to work to get warm and then wasn't powerful. No hand soap. Double bed was big so needed a bigger quilt. Needs up dating and some more love put into the property and could be lovely. It was ok for one night wouldn't stop again. Also curtains where falling off up top as not attached properly.

Absolutely nothing

The double room we booked was twin bed pushed together. The beds were very aged and worn. The fitted sheets on both mattresses were too small for the mattress so much so that one of the sheets was torn/ripped with the strain. The carpet was threadbare and shabby. the wardrobe door was hanging on one hinge only. severe lack of furniture in the room. There was two block extension leads trailing from one side of the room to the other feeding electricity to the TV/wall mounted sockets (totally against health & safety) the wooden blinds were broken in parts allowing light in and no curtain in the room at any of the windows. The electric shower was very dated and shabby as was the wc and basin. The only toiletries provided was two very small shampoo bottles. No hair dryer provided as stated. The room was meant to be for disabled to include wheelchair users, there is no way a wheelchair would be able to get into the room, via the corridor past the radiator as there was barely 2.5 foot width Also the shower is advertised as a 'Roll-in shower' see photo which clearly shower it is not When we asked about breakfast on arrival we were informed that there was no breakfast on offer, This was on the email we received after booking on line but right at the bottom of the email so we didn't notice it. Yet there remains a very large sign in the car park that this is a Bed & BREAKFAST establishment Finally and most importantly there is no fire escape should there be a fire. Overall VERY VERY poor B&B we shall NEVER return

I never want to stay here again

Location OK but little information about where to park and entrance difficult to find. Non existent welcome, felt that my arrival was an inconvenience. No bin provided, decoration dingy, bathroom unappealing

The fact I'm back in my bed tonight.

Bed uncomfortable, shower wouldn't warm up, cracks in the TV, no iron and ironing board, bed too noisy, loud noises upstairs from 7am

Not enough sugar in the tea/coffee area and when it rained in the night a dripping sound I think from the window area maybe a leaky guttering made it hard to get back to sleep and the tv in the next room could be heard in our room and did not go off until 12 30

Won't be staying again.

Somewhere to stay on a cold night. Easy parking

Where do I start? The owner wasn't there when I arrived- no problem. She handed me the keys showed me the room and I never saw her again. Curtains and carpet was filthy and stained. One sachet of sugar as part of the coffee making facilities. Wish I could have found a positive comment. Wasn't offered breakfast either.

Great location, the building is old but everything was functional and matches the prices

Not great insulated rooms, you can hear when people move about and talk on the hallways. Quite dusty surfaces.

Will not be staying again.

In a good area.

Big issue with cleanliness, door bashed, entrance not inviting, toilet seat loose, stains on floors, dusty vent, parts missing from cupboards, no milk with tea bags, no housekeeping after first night, missing towel rack.

No breakfast included. Room was clean but extremely basic.

I booked the room for 1 adult, 2 children and it could have been a large double bed or 2 singles. It would have been better to have had one large double but it wasn’t. Fair enough, but only 2 pillows and 2 towels provided? There should have been minimum 3 provided and spares. Also no hairdryer. The property in general was also quite noisy during the night and we could smell smoke in the room. It didn’t seem to come from outside so possibly from another room?

The photos on the internet do not even come close to reality. Dirty room, bad bed, dirty WALLs and carpet. It's a shame, I've never see such a dirty kitchen. I cleaned it myself so that I could prepare a dinner for myself. I would never want to rent a room there.

Honestly, my opinion, it's a horrible place, a bad smell, I checked in, left the key in the door and went to a local hotel. I do not recommend this location to anyone.

Disappointed.

Actually the house is very dirty. I have been there for 3days but I haven’t seen anybody to clean even the lounge. All informations which written about the house is false. Everyone day I have to asked refreshments (tea bags, coffee, sugar and toilet rolls) which I felt uncomfortable for myself. I found the Microwave and fridge unsafest for people to use because is very dirty. Old carpet and Cobwebs all over the areas. Dirty water splashes on the car parks and not in the drains. Actually I wish healthy and safety people to visit now before serious actions could happen. Soon when I enter in the house I was shocked even taxi driver said “I don’t think is safe for your people” I am very very very disappointed.

Everything, hosting were not friendly and horrible environments.

That there was a local pub 5 mins walk away.

Bed not made from the day before. Towels still damp and been used room not serviced. Let in by a man who told me the owners were on holiday. No breakfast of which i had paid for. The hotel conditions the building should be condemned. No wifi no code no one to ask about it.

Room in the back building. Dirty room, ceiling plasterboard was falling down. cobwebs, broken lock. filthy bedding and carpet.Dumb room. No light in the bathroom. curtain railing was hanging. we arrived 8:30 pm couldn’t find anything to stay the night, was all booked. had to travel through the night back home 3 hours journey. Back home 3:30am safe.What a let down for us an booking.com

Good location, poor guest experience

The location

It was freezing cold when we arrived. I asked them to put the heating on ,which they did. After around two hours with the room still not adequately warmed ,the heating went off. That, coupled with the room being not very clean the toilet was disgusting. Not a very pleasant experience. We decided to leave and go somewhere else.

Wasn’t expecting too much for price but...

The price was fairly cheap but even so would expect a higher level of cleanliness and it to be less grim. The lady was nice enough when checking us in but didn’t mention anything about breakfast/WiFi/etc and just showed us to the room.

Room was very cold over night, cleanliness was lacking and kettle was too disgusting to use in the morning. All in all I wouldn’t have minded if it was either half the price or just the heating was on and cleaning was better. Would not stay again.

Awful dirty cheap place

Cheap because it was cheap . I didn’t actually dare stay the night. my dog has a newer and cleaner bed . Window was broke wallpaper falling off no toiletries light was broke no bulbs in some carpet was older than my Nan .

Should have known better than to trust the price . Cheap for a reason . Shouldn’t even be advertised as a hotel my dog sleeps in better conditions

Below standard

The accommodation was not as shown on the internet’s pictures. The property was dated and in need of modernisation. Two single beds were put together and not as requested a double bed. The toilet lid requires fixing. From reviews of the property in the past these problems have been highlighted . SO WHY BOTHER ASKING IF NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE ?

Room old and dated, poor decoration, bathroom dirty, ordered breakfast on booking for 7am when I got there told it was £5 for breakfast, I said ok needed it at 7am, come 7am no breakfast no one to ask about it so left with no food not good when your diabetic.

what can I say I wish I had read the reviews the beds were very uncomfortable with stained frames, the on bedside lamp was faulty and continually flickering, only one main light worked, the sink had no plug and leaked all over the floor the décor was very tired and the wooden laminate floor had big gaps in it I could go on a big lesson learned.

Absolutely shocking - do not book!

The list is endless! The host was unwelcoming/inhospitable after we expressed our issues (advertised as entire unit on ground floor) - I am currently on crutches and we were put upstairs in the room the furthest away! The host said if we didn’t like it we could put our keys on the side if we leave, how rude! The ‘free’ breakfast is very much not free (£6!) for cereal and juice! The property in general requires a deep clean and dust, spiders everywhere. Attention to detail was shocking (curtain rails falling off, dirty window sills, tv remote not working). Definitely the worst experience I’ve had through Booking.com
