Pleasant

Nice open-plan layout. Both bedrooms are en-suite. Fully equipped kitchen.

The mattresses were uncomfortable. Wifi was not available. Haven't seen such dirty bathrooms in a very long time. Hair of previous guests were everywhere. Spiderwebs and balls of dust in the bedrooms.

The shower didn't have much pressure and the apartment isn't very toddler friendly but these are just small things. Very enjoyable overall

A little bit of disappointment

There were lovely views in the area.

House was very cold on arrival, was very hard to heat it up, was cold for so long. There was no internet over Wi-Fi, electric showers were faulty, there was barely warm water on full power and cold water only in all taps.Corners and lamps very dusty, landlord insisting that there were professionals cleaning. There were not. Landlord lives next door, that wasn't mentioned in advertising. Some of images shows landlord house and lovely garden that guests didn't have an access to. There was no garden to our use, no grill or any outside area for our use only, tractors passing under our windows. Despite I was asking landlord if there is any charge for dogs (plural, because we have two) and assured her that I'm going to keep dogs away from bedrooms as she wishes, at the end of stay she educated me that only one family pet was allowed. There is nothing about it in advert, she also didn't inform about this in email before we came. We also were told to pay for electricity and clean house when leaving. We have no problem with that, however that should be mentioned in offer description. When cleaning, we found one faulty hoover (no hoovering fittings attached, just flexible pipe was there), landlord brought another one the same faulty and said that should be fine for use, maybe on knees! Third one small we got was working eventually. Landlord also came in the house an hour before we left, uninvited. That wasn't comfortable for us, as we were still cleaning and were allowed to stay till 11am. House was rented for four adults and one child, however there was only one adult bed available. All single beds were to small, too short for adults, so sleeping wasn't comfortable at all. We won't be back there and won't recommend that place.

Home away from home!

Quaint little cottage style apartment set in a peaceful and scenic location. The views from the bedroom windows are 5 star! On arrival, the kitchen table was set so nicely, and we were treated with a lovely bottle of wine and delicious homemade current cake, left by the host, a lovely surprise, since we were celebrating our wedding anniversary also. There was plenty of space, with showers in both rooms and we had a great night sleep each night we stayed. We loved the convenience of cooking our own meals, especially since we were travelling with our 3 year old, having access to a fridge and cooker was brilliant. There are lots of broshures left on the coffee table with activities and restaurants in the area. There are so many beautiful beaches around this area, and so peaceful and quiet. It really is a hidden gem of a location, and very much an underrated part of the country. Any locals we met walking along beaches etc were very friendly. There is an Aldi supermarket 10 mins from this location in Belmullet and other smaller stores. There are restaurants, cafes, pubs here too, also a nice little town. We didn't walk around it, we spent our time visiting all the beaches and sights around. The host was very helpful and obliging and was quick to respond to any requests or queries. We would definitely stay here again!

Only that we couldn't bring our dog, but that's an understandable house rule. Our 3 year old loved the large dog teddies in the apartment though!

Comfortable and quiet in a stunning location

The apartment was clean

Poor WiFi Charged extra for electricity. Which was for showers, hot water and heat! (just realised my booking said €10 Electricity fee per night is included.€ 30) 6km from Belmullet / shops Apartment is VERY full of ornaments and furniture.

A fabulous time was had by all!

We all had a lovely stay at the Cottage. It was a brilliant location not far from Belmullet and convenient for the beaches nearby. The rooms were very clean and spacious and the beds really comfortable. The open fire in the lounge was very homely and we loved relaxing there in the evenings. The kitchen was ideal for family dining and the picture window provided a fabulous panoramic view of the surrounding area and beyond. Mary and her family were very friendly and communicative hosts and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. A lovely experience for us all and we hope to be back again.
