Ella, Bella

Prachtig uitzicht op little Peak Adam. Ook de goedkopere kamer (zonder airco en eigen terras) kan ten volle genieten van een gedeeld terras met dit uitzicht waar het ontbijt wordt gereserveerd. In warmere periodes zou ik graag meer betalen voor de eigen terras en airco, ‘t is maar wat jíj belangrijk vindt. Ontbijt was lekker en verrassend en niet hetzelfde elke morgen. Super dus. Een eindje buiten het centrum maar met onze eigen tuktuk geen probleem. De korte wandelweg naar de restaurants in Ella is ook eens iets anders; je kunt eens langs het treinspoor in 10’ in het centrumtje staan. Stop wel op tijd, kies één van de eerste restaurantjes, want zo kom je niet in het verwesterd en commercieel stuk van Ella terecht, waar je nog weinig Sri Lanka terug vindt.

Neen, eigenlijk niet, overdag waren ze wel aan het werk in en rond het gebouw om kamers bij te maken, maar dit betekent alleen dat in de toekomst nog meer mensen zullen kunnen genieten

Lovely views

The view was fantastic and it was nice to just relax on the balcony. The staff were so nice and helpful - they told us the shortcut to the town etc. The breakfast the next day was delicious! Prepared for your chosen time and with a great view.

I thoroughly recommend this guest house.

The view of Ella Gap from the property was superb. The proprietors were helpful. The room was pleasant.

The proprietor ordered dinner for us from a neighbouring food outlet, since the Guest House does not provide dinner. This was acceptable and convenient but not fantastic.

Übernachtung mit Aussicht

Tolle Aussicht auf die gesamte grüne Natur rund um Ella. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und die Kommunikation mit Dhana lief immer gut und freundlich. Auch die zentrale aber nicht zu innerstädtischen Lage war absoluter Pluspunkt.

Schöne Unterkunft mit einem grandiosen Ausblick

Waren sehr zufrieden mit der Unterkunft. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich, zuvorkommend und kümmern sich gewissenhaft um die Belange der Gäste. Ein Fahrdienst wurde bereitgestellt. Das lokale Frühstück war umfangreich und sehr lecker. Das absolute Highlight war natürlich der Ausblick! Den konnten wir sogar direkt vom Zimmer/Balkon und sogar vom Bett aus genießen. Das Zimmer ist geräumig, sauber und gut ausgestattet; mit Wifi, AC, internationalen Steckdosen, Wasserkocher etc. Das Bad ist ebenfalls sehr schön und groß. Heißes Wasser ist verfügbar. Der Balkon ist mit Stühlen und Tisch ausgestattet. Die Unterkunft liegt etwas außerhalb vom Zentrum von Ella. Das war super, da man hier entspannt den Ausblick und Tiergeräusche genießen konnte. Das Zentrum selbst hat man durch einen kleinen, schönen Spaziergang (ca. 1 km) problemlos erreichen können.

Widoki nie do opisania lakalizacja świetna torami kolejowymi 5 minut do centrum. Bylo w miarę czysto.

Brak klimatyzacji, wentylator średnio dawał radę przy tych temperaturach i wilgotności.

Dhana and his wife are really lovely people. Breakfast was amazing and the view from the room breathtaking ! We had a really good time. Close distance from town only a short walk.

Great value, friendly staff, and unbeatable view!

Amazing view of the city! We got to watch the sunrise directly from bed. The staff was also extremely helpful and booked all of our transportation and excursions.

It was a bit hard to find but the friendly neighbors helped us. Also, the sheets and towels seemed worn out but fine. Though it's a short walk to the main city center (10-15min), you had to walk on the railroad, which gets very dark at night.

Unsurpassed room view (from the lower level) and deck view (upper level) - Mountains and a quaint waterfall. Wow! Great rooms. Good location, close to town Breakfast was included and was superb (Sri Lankan style) Obliging hosts Good Internet Family run (Encourage host to improve the infrastructure) Recommend to anyone if you are not looking for luxury amenities

The views were amazing. You see mountains straight from your bed. The owner was super nice. He would die trying to make everything best for you.

Soundproof doesn't exist. Only small room. Property has 4 rooms in total.

Stunning in every respect

What an amazing place, the views are stunning, it’s in the perfect location with an easy walk into the main strip. We had 2 amazing home cooked breakfasts, both completely different Our hosts could not do enough for us, messaging us to see if wanted transport because it was heavy rain to taking us to our next stop. 2 weeks travelling round Sri Lanka and by far the best guest house we stayed in.

Perfectly Located for Ella Rock Hike

Paraiso GH was perfectly located for our sunrise hike to Ella Rock as it is 30m to get on the train tracks and around 1.5km to Kithaella Station. Breakfast was tasty after our hike. Dhna also went out of his way to accomodate us and took us to see the 9 arches and train passing. He also drove us to Arugam Bay. He was super helpful and the communication was impeccable.

The views are just incredible. The bed was very confortable, bathroom as well.. and having the mini fridge was key to bring some drinks and snacks in the balcony and enjoy the view There is a shortcut to get to the centre and you are there in 10 min.

Very cozy place!

The view and service was excellent. We also enjoyed our stay with the Great Dane "Bingoo", the temple dog who visits us frequently. The owner, Dana, and his wife were very kind and always provided very helpful information.

I didn't like the shower/toilet arrangement. There is no shower curtain and separation, so whole floor get wet during the shower and I did not like it. One more issue was hot water pressure! Other than that, it was a very cozy place.

Beautiful!

The view from my room was beautiful to wake up to each morning. The breakfast of Dahl and coconut pancakes was the best I have had! It would be nice to have more options for vegans/ vegetarians :) the host Dhana and his wife Piyu are lovely. Dhana was super helpful and responsive and did his best to answer my questions. His recommendations of places to see were excellent and to my interest! A wonderful break with wonderful people in beautiful Ella.

Hosts were amazing and very welcoming. Very clean and tidy and the breakfast was fantastic. Views are spectacular and it’s worth getting up early to see sunrise. Very easy access into Ella town and local attractions such as nine arches bridge. They allowed us to leave our bags for the day after we checked out.

Lovely cuppa with biscuits on arrival A very clean, spacious room - with decent storage - and a big, clean bathroom. Stunning views from the balcony. Very quiet on an evening. A 10min walk into town along the railway lines. The owner was very helpful and willing to help us organize transport and things to do without being pushy or intrusive. Filling breakfast (included) with beautiful views. Loved the pet dog! Would recommend at this price point, we loved it here!

Stunning view, great host, great location.

Stunning view and attentive host. It looks far on the map but is actually a very short walk along the train tracks to town. Its peaceful with truly amazing views to wake up to. Good location for doing Ella rock hike too.

Nice and relaxed stay

comfortable property with great view. The owners are lovely. The place has a very nice and chilled vibe. Great breakfast. Dhana drove us to Yala National Park and back for a reasonable price and the scooter rental was also reasonable. Good location for Ella Rock, Dhana has great photo directions which he will send you. Recommend

Amazing place to stay in Ella

Our stay in Paraiso House was wonderful. Dhana the owner of the place picked us up personally. During the car drive he told us a little bit about the country and took in to consideration our special requests. The room was big and of course the view was amazing. On the balcony in front of the room you get to enjoy the magnificient gren landscape. The breakfast was delicious and very generous. Dhana also gave us some tips on what to do and organised tuktuks for our activities. Furthermore the town is 5 to 10 mins away by feet, so quite close to all the cafes and restaurants. Thank you, Dhana and also his wife for hosting us and for the unforgettable experience.
