Lovely stay overall. We stayed two nights and breakfast was very good. They packed us the breakfast for second morning a

The property is not at all far from the city centre. Yet gives a secluded touch due to the structure of jt. The top floor view from room was beautiful. The staffs were helpful and foods were delicious.

There are lots of stairs for the top floor rooms. If one is okay to climb stairs of 5-6 floors, it should nit be a problem. There are bugs, but the hotel staffs continuously tried to repel them. Was not an issue for us.

Horrible experience!!

The location was walking distance to town and breakfast was good.

There were too many issues with the hotel- I booked 2 rooms at the hotel same type and price but still got one room which was very small for which the manager compensated with complimentary breakfast and that was the only good part of my whole stay. The bigger room ac was not working , we did not sleep well and there only resolution was a fan which was noisy. Room temperature all night was at 25 degree+ and the manager's response is we fixed our ac last week so everything is fine it takes time for the room to cool down. No manager at night to find a solution, he did not even answer staff calls and in the morning also he did not turn up to speak to him after multiple requests he just sent Whatsapp messages which were very rude. I waited for 3 hours and room did not become cooler even till 1 am and staff did not care. I asked to move to a different room but they were full The towels were stained can't be sure if they were washed, tub had mould on it and overall not a good experience since the property was not cheap. Also no lift in at the property.

Awesome hotel. we had great time and enjoyed it well.

Everything from food to the hospitality Neil was awesome he was our cook / tuk tuk driver and a bar tender, an amazing all in one guy 😀

Bel établissement proche de tout mais calme !

Bel établissement bien décoré. Service client très efficace Établissement à étages avec une superbe vue sur les collines Chambres confortables avec salle de bain propre + eau chaude Restaurant disponible sur place Proche du centre d'Ella et des attractions/randonnées. Le centre d'Ella est à éviter absolument sauf pour les repas.

Beaucoup d'escalier mais malheureusement la région est vallonnée.

Great stay in Ella

Really nice, new looking hotel. Really conveniently located for the Main Street, Little Adam’s Peak, Ravana Pool club and ten mins walk from the station. Room was spacious and bed comfortable. Hotel felt new and clean and they were able to sort our onward transfer to Udawalawale.

Only (small) issue was that there was a smell coming from the bathroom. Didn’t really bother us as we were only in the room for limited time.

Pekny hotel s dobrou polohou.

Nadherny vyhled, kousek v vodopadum, Little Adams na dosah, kousek do centra. Mily personal, dobra snidane.

Ubytovani, zvlaste vyhled uplne neodpovida. Asi photoshop 😉, pokoj s terasou a soukromou zahradou jsme hledali marne 🤣.

Ubicación y amabilidad del personal Habitación muy correcta

Tal vez faltan detalles en la hab que terminar. Un poco estrecha. Pero en general muy correcta por el precio y lo que vimos en el centro de Ella .

Tolles Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis

Tolles Personal, schönstes Zimmer auf unserer Sri Lanka Reise mit vielen kleinen extra Details (Duschkit, Zahnkit, Rasierkit, Minibar umsonst). Super tolles Bad und Dusche mit Massagefunktion. Leckeres Frühstück!

Es gab Probleme mit dem WLAN, liegt aber allgemein am Ort.

Hotel

Tolles Zimmer mit großem und bequemem Bett. Gute Lage, relativ ruhig, zu Fuß nur 5-10 Minuten vom Zentrum entfernt. Hotel ist in den Hang gebaut: schöne Aussicht (aber auch viele Treppen). Tolles europäisches Frühstück (Toast, Eier etc.) mit zusätzlichen lokalen Speisen Wie überall in Sri Lanka sehr aufmerksames, freundliches Personal.

Warmwasser in der Dusche war eine on-off-Geschichte, bißchen lästig. Kurz vor Ankuft wurden wir über Bauarbeiten im Bereich der Rezeption informiert - stimmte, die gesamte Rezeption wurde über zwei Stockwerke entweder um- oder ganz neu gebaut, und wir mußten durch die Baustelle durch, um zu unserem Zimmer zu gelangen. Damit gab es auch kein Restaurant oder eine Bar. Das Thema könnte sich allerdings inzwischen erledigt haben.

Buona location, stanza spaziosa, pulita, dotata di tutti i comfort. Molto vicino al centro di Ella

Avevamo prenotato la cena in albergo ma il personale nn parlava bene inglese e abbiamo faticato a capirci. Consiglierei di andare in città per cenare. Ci sono mille opzioni a basso costo

In the heart of the mountain, close to the center.

The hotel is close to the center, supermarket and restaurants. The view from the hotel is lovely, you are in the heart of the jungle and the decor of the hotel is quite chic. They use concrete and dark colors making them blend into the jungle. The rooms are spacious, modern finishing and the bathroom is great with good pressure. There was no construction happening, despite seeing they were still doing some renovations. Breakfast is a wow, make sure you’re hungry. It’s to order but besides your eggs, you get a full on Sri Lankan experience with all the trimmings. Staff are friendly and helpful although many young men don’t speak English very well.

The WiFi drops out all the time. We were often left without any connection which was a little frustrating. For me it wasn’t a problem but note that there is no lift and you must take stairs up to where you are staying, they are a little are steep but all luggage’s are carried by the staff.

Sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt in Ella

Sehr schönes, zentral gelegenes Hotel. Sehr freundliches Hotelpersonal. Das Abendessen war sehr gut. Das Frühstück war ganz besonders lecker und wurde mit viel Liebe zubereitet und serviert.

Schönes Hotel an praktischer Lage

Gute zentale Lage, dennoch eher ruhig in Seitengasse Grosses, sauberes, modernes Zimmer Gute Dusche Super Frühstück Freundliches Personal

Am Tag unsere Ankunft wurden wir über Umbauarbeiten der Reception informiert. Eigentlich war der gesamte Eingangsbereich eine grosse Baustelle. Sowas sollte man im Voraus informieren und entsprechenden Rabatt gewähren. Schliesslich gabs auch etwas Lärm nachts.

Schöne Unterkunft um Ausflüge in die Teeplantagen zu machen. Nine Arche Bridge und Little adams Peak im 3-45min zu Fuß z

Schönes Hotel. Zur Zeit im Umbau. Man darf sich von der Baustelle nicht abschrecken lassen. Sehr reichhaltiges traditionelles Frühstück. Zimmer sehr groß. Personal super freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Die Lüftung im Bad der merkwürdig gerochen.

Warmest of welcomes and wonderful stay

This hotel is really well located. Super close to the Main Street with all the bars and restaurants, but just off it so it’s peaceful and relaxing. The restaurant is at the top of the building meaning superb views for breakfast looking out at Ella rock and the rolling hills. Imali the hotel manager gave us an exceptionally warm welcome and was wonderful throughout our stay. She explained all about the Sri Lankan breakfast and made sure we tried everything and ate it in the right way (first time we ever knew what to put with what at breakfast time!) Our bags were carried to and from our rooms so no need to worry about the stairs and getting bags up to your room. A really great stay and I fully recommend this hotel.

Slightly outdated, central but more quiet location.

Location has good views of Ella Rock and is slightly outfoxed the buzz from the Main Street. Everything is good walkable but more quiet.

The hotel and rooms could use some improvements as it clearly had it’s better days. Everything is more outdated than appears on the photos. No matter how good everything was cleared a smell always remained present in the bathroom. The breakfast is tasteful, but is the same every day and will get boring after a few days.

2 night stay in July

Location was great. A 5 minute tuk tuk ride from the train station and then a few minutes walk to where all the shops and restaurants. We were in the highest room and had a great view of Ella rock. I think all the rooms look on to the rock to be honest. Room was spacious and clean. Staff were very nice and helpful. It is also within walking distance or a short tuk tuk from the Nine Arch Bridge, Little Adams Peak and Ravana Pool Club.

We didn't have any issues. It may be worth noting that the hotel doesn't have a lift though.

The location is convenient, near by the small center. The view from the room and the restaurant is very nice.

1. They don’t know their job properly, I have booked another night via Agoda, and when I reached they told me they don’t have a room and I have to cancel- that’s fine. But it has been paid to the hotel already, Agoda only asked the hotel to send an email through their registered email address but I don’t know why the staff just refused to do it even I asked many many times! The hotel staff said Agoda called them but there’s no proof and I did not receive any emails. Eventually I did not receive the 80USD, since I’m still out of the country, I’ll call the hotel again to chase on this. It is cheating. 2. There’s no Wi-Fi in the room, I called twice to check but they just say “ok ok” and no reaction. 3. There’s no electricity in the morning. 4. Towels are yellowish.

Memorable stay

Location is great. Beautiful mountain view. Friendly staff. Ample parking space across the road. Good food. The Mini fridge came with a small snack and a few bottles of soft drinks, and it was free of charge. Waking distance to the Ella town.

Have to take the 3-4 levels of stairs to the rooms. This is not an issue for young people. Cannot recommend for the elderly.

Beautiful place with amazing people

Ella Heritage is an amazing place to stay with a beautiful view of Ella Rock. And it's few minutes walking distance to central area where you find restaurants and shops. The room and facilities are clean and well maintained. The staff are amazing and willing to assist wherever possible. To name some, Kavindu from restaurant was such a great person who makes sure his guests are happy. And Imesha from Reception with a big smile always on her face makes you feel so welcome. We recommend this place as it's definitely worth for money.

Lovely hotel close to the Main Street

Lovely clean hotel very close to the Main Street which has loads of restaurants. WiFi was amazing, so fast! Staff were wonderful and so friendly and helpful.
