About this cabin rental
☯ If you've never slept in the round before, you owe yourself! We all want to "think outside the box," but how about sleeping outside the box? — well, inside, but not in a box! Windows above & all around, 59,206 pennies beneath. ★ ☸ ★ Magic!
We love to design spaces that are not in a box. We want to give our guests an experience that is meaningful and memorable.
*****************
"Enchanting, magical, uplifting" -- those are words used recently by our guests, describing this wonderful space. Twelve sides, windows all around, surrounded by nature, yet close to town.
*****************
Picture a cabin made of cedar and glass. It has wi-fi, electric heat, a comfortable queen-sized bed, a chair for reading, a fold-out desk, and a table with a coffee pot. All the bare essentials, in one place.
It's situated to be rustic and inspirational, nestled into the back corner of a deep lot. There are fruit trees all around and a seasonal pond that attracts ducks in the spring and early summer. Depending on the season, you can listen to birds and frogs from inside the roundhouse, or cross the footbridge to the south-facing deck behind the workshop -- another private space for your "get away from the bustle" contemplations. Or enjoy the firepit.
Follow the wending path to the front fence and everything is nearby.
The bathroom is at the rear of the main house, right near the back door (about 30 yards from the roundhouse). It's private and only barely shared. (We have another bath-and-a-half elsewhere in the house.) We have a clever curtaining system that can give you extra privacy if you want it. You'll be left as alone as you choose to be during your visit.
With a little bit of planning, we're happy to share our full kitchen with you during daylight hours. Same with the laundry room.
We're sharing our home with you, so we ask you to be respectful of that. We love to brag about Eugene and Oregon, and we're happy to share what we have and what we know.
=====
P.S. For those using this service to find long-term rental options, we're not the least expensive alternative, but we've had several visitors stay for several weeks or a few months. Our rates already reflect long-term discounts of 25% or more, as calculated by the site.

My friend and I stayed here for two nights with my dog, and loved it. Not only is the location beautiful and the roundhouse really cool, but Don also really made the experience special. From a welcome message on a chalkboard when we arrived to customize postcards with the image of the roundhouse you can mail to family and friends, there were so many cute details that you just don’t get at a lot of other reaction rentals.
Definitely recommend!

The website did not indicate that there was no bathroom in the room. I am on dialysis and require a private bathroom near the bedroom. Once I was given the check in information, it noted the bathroom was in a separate house and was shared. I attempted to get a refund but could not. Very dissatisfied and will not recommend vrbo to anyone or use it again.

Great spot in an artsy garden backyard with fruit trees and deer. Don was kind and welcoming.

We loved the dome above the bed, looking out at the stars. It was very comfortable and VERY quiet. Bring a flashlight (or a phone) to light your way to the bathroom; it wasn't a problem for us. And there is outdoor lighting too; but we are older folks... 70ish. I'd stay there again.

Great experience staying here. It was small but comfortable, and I loved staying here. Bathroom is in a separate building, so I'm glad it didn't rain. A resident deer would greet me in the mornings and evenings almost every day.

After dragging my bag over Rocky bumpy weedy trail way to the back of this place. I entered the round house, but I discovered there was no bathroom, no water, no closet no drawers just a bed with windows all the way around it in order to use the bathroom had to, wade your way over to his house by a few other things no thank you I just walked away and got stiffed for my rent for the week

If you like unusual properties, this is the place for you. Kind of like “glamping”, the host anticipates your every need and provides all the comforts of home in a beautiful setting, indoors and out. The bedroom is a beautiful yurt with all kinds of hidden perks. The bathroom is in the main building that is accessed across a lush garden, complete with a quiet stream and a fragrant rose bush. It is an authentic Eugene experience.

I stayed at the Roundhouse to get away on my own and relax. It was very cosy and warm inside even with the snow. The decoration is nice and "rounded"very thoughtfully and practical for the space.
Definitely considering it again at a different time of year next time to be able to enjoy their beautiful garden.

I absolutely loved this place! It has so much character. It was a hidden gem. I imagine discovering it through the different seasons. It is so unique, obviously made with love and offered me refreshment of the spirit . I DID finally see a deer, perfect ending. The rain falling on the roof reminded me of the time I called a vintage avion my home! Wonderful memory. I hope to return.

Yes, I am a Baby Boomer and this location took me back to another space in time.
Quite for sure and quite unique in its own way.
I did love the floor! Novel idea.
Everything was as advertised.
Thank you, Boomer @ 70

My fiancé and I came down to explore Eugene. Our host recommended great dog parks and restaurants to try. The back yard is dreamy and was a relaxing stay for us.

Fun, outdoor living. Great room and easy access through the yard to an outdoor kitchen and bathroom. The roundhouse is fully equipped. We happened to be there when it was really hot and it was challenging to keep the roundhouse cool, so we spent our time exploring Eugene and played in the river to keep cool until the evening. Cute, unique place to stay.

Very small "Round House" did not include either a bathroom or a kitchen. The bathroom is in another building across an unkept yard. The kitchen is outside on a patio. No room left for us when we arrived.

Property was listed as having a full bath & kitchen. Photos of the cabin included a small modest bathroom.
After booking it became clear that the bathroom was not a private bathroom. It was attached to the private residence & was to be 'shared' with the residents. It had no kitchen. That was also to be shared with the residents of the home.
When I was made aware of these facts I attempted to cancel, less than 25 mins after the initial booking. Despite the fact that this wasn't the booking we had bargained for, I was prepared to stay.
However, VRBO contacted the owner, & got his verbal okay to process the refund. Once I heard via email from customer service that the refund would be processed I went ahead and booked another accommodation for our two day stay in Eugene.
Several days later, the charge had posted and the charge was not reversed. I contacted VRBO again. They contacted the owner who said he hadn't processed the refund because he had a dislocated a shoulder. The next day, when the refund still hadn't been processed, the owner was contacted again. At this point he said he had 'changed his mind' about the refund because VRBO didn't processed it in a timely fashion.
I'm a senior on a fixed income. My budget can't accommodate paying double for a room. I would have never booked a second accommodation had VRBO not assured me that the cancellation had been completed.

This is a truly magical and blissful place to stay. Being in the yard feels like a little retreat escape. My toddler loved exploring the yard too. The actual roundhouse is beautiful- I especially enjoyed looking at the stars through the ceiling dome window at night. The only feedback I have is it would have been helfpul if the AC had been turned on before we got there- it was 92 degrees inside when we arrived. But it cooled down relatively quickly. They also let us check out late because our toddler was napping, which was super kind. We would love to come back!

The roundhouse was an amazing time. It was the perfect compliment to our weekend in Eugene. The backyard was basically a nature preserve. The bed was amazing and the space was a wonderful hybrid of natural architecture with modern tech flare. We were walking distance to cafes, restaurants, parks and grocery stores We feel rejuvenated!

Don was very kind as a host. The property is beautiful. Garden, water features, and frogs singing in the night. Very quiet. The yurt is so restful, the bathroom is just a few steps away. Next time I come to Eugene, I'll check here first for availability.

Quiet, pleasant and is as advertised. The wind chimes are especially pleasant on the morning

It was a wonderful, comfy place to be in. Hands off touch from the owner was nice.
The treats when we arrived were a welcome surprise.

This was the ideal place to stay while dropping my son off at the University of Oregon. While it is quirky, the Roundhouse had everything I needed for a three night stay. The bathroom and kitchen are in the main house, just a short walk across the yard. That wasn't a problem at all. The bathroom is clean and had everything I needed.
I would definitely stay here again!

Great place to stay…might be a little more challenging in rainy weather due to kitchen bathroom away from the roundhouse. Convenient to shopping, buses, restaurants. Enjoyed our stay.

Quiet, quirky, quality. Fun surroundings and comfortable accommodations. Will definitely be back.

The owner was amazing. Much appreciation.

No running water, no bathroom. Totally disappointed!

I really enjoyed staying at the roundhouse. Its very quiet and well appointed. The detailing was done very well and there was ample space to use as a home base while visiting Eugene. You'll enjoy this space.

I stayed here with my dog for 3 weeks and was pleased with the warmth (even with cold outside temperatures), beautiful property, and personable hosts. The strong wifi signal allowed me to work while I was here. The mattress is also super comfy. This a great location for coffee shops, restaurants, and running/hiking trails. I’d definitely stay here again!

If you have the chance, stay here! It is a very neat property and experience. They have thought of everything in this location...even a comfy bed! The one drawback, if you must have one, is walking to the bathroom in the main house. But even that is no big deal. One of the best locations I've stayed at I'm VRBO

Beautiful established home with very comfortable amenities. The hosts thought of every little detail to make things easy, as well as came up with every little bit of technology to make it modern and up to date without losing that rustic charm.
