location parking good
there was a lot of noise coming from the apartment above - very disappointing

The best thing about the property is its location close to the centre of Tynemouth village and, for us, ease of access to other parts of the North East where we have family.
The key box, while easy to use, given you have crouch down to open it, is difficult to open. My husband had to do that! And our stay was slightly marred by having a very noisy family upstairs, Not Helen's fault.

beautiful location, walking distance to everything clean and tidy lovely outlook

The apartment was very well equipped. Very comfortable bed and nice facilities.
Great location and beautiful views overlooking the Tyne.
There was nothing to dislike.
4.5
Lovely location, spacious flat, clean and welcoming room, with a little view of the sea that makes evenings a touch more special. We travel a lot and rarely find a place clean enough to make us go back to - this is one of them!
All good (this is a rare find!)

Lovely big airy apartment.
Plenty of amenities included.
Great location.
Terrible smell from sink/drain in the kitchen. Cleaned the sink and the dish washer with disinfectant, but it didn't help.
My wife is an ex A&E nurse so is used to bad smells and she couldn't stand it! It permeated into the Lounge if you left the kitchen door open.
Bed was too soft for us, but I appreciate that's very subjective..

Good facilities, beds comfy and location within 10 min walk of the centre. Nice kitchen. Nice quiet area and easy parking
Would have been nice if the heating was on on arrival. Once we sussed that the boiler had lost its pressure, we repressurised, and the house was nice and warm..

Excellent location. Quiet street but walking distance
to high street and metro. Fantastic views.
Very comfortable and warm flat.
Well equipped with essentials. Coffee and tea provided
Very happy that there was a tea pot and a cafetière.

Self catering accommodation in a nice neighbourhood. Old fashioned period property and not overly fancy.. The couple running it were very hospitable and I appreciated their calls and help- really friendly
The location was great for town and beach. It was so kind of them to offer parking. Whilst the area is cheap to park it isn’t possible to park nearby without the permit. Thank you
It was fine for us but it is needing some TLC for those who like a place that has been kept well. Plastering / grouting etc don’t bother us… this is perfect for a family. A camp bed would be convenient . The sofa would. It have to be opened up every night, especially if the children are small. The neighbourhood and town are lovely but the weekends have teenagers on the beach having a party which sounded rowdy. It didn’t put us off though

Hostess very helpful on the phone gave good recommendations about the local area
Confirmation about how to get in was received rather late. The Booking.com system makes it difficult to contact owners direct which in my case was not helpful.

beautiful location beautiful property.
mouse infestation.
scratching under floor in main bedroom, not able to sleep well. then dead mouse in living room on floor and we saw mice running across living room floor in two occasions.
we did ring the owner to inform of the problem.

Fantastic little property, near to the town and to the coast path. Great facilities and very cosy. Only a few minutes to walk into Tynemouth where there are some gorgeous little shops, bars and restaurants. Weekend market is 5 minutes walk too and well worth a visit. My favourite was the coast path to North Shields, great little beach and some great local fish mongers too. Nice walk to the north, King Edwards Bay and onto Longsands. Lots of sights further too.
Even though the property is really close to the coast you have to walk out of the little residential area into the car park and onto the path. Not far though and worth the effort. Parking is ok outside as you are provided a permit but be aware that if you park elsewhere in Tynemouth you need to pay ... the traffic wardens are keen!!

Very spacious, comfortable and ideally located.
Very little not to like.

Location is excellent
Shower was very dirty. Had to go out and buy cleaning equipment before we could use it.

Location was amazing
Not overly clean. Mold in the bathrooms, round the windows and a general smell of mold as you walked into the house. We had the give everything a little wipe down when we arrived. Bathroom off the main room needs to be re grouted and re painted it’s pretty grim around the shower tap. Host was lovely though which was a shame. Just didn’t feel very clean and there were crumbs and dirt on the kitchen worktops. No toilet brushes or bins in the toilet. Also no bleach to help with cleaning while we were there.

Easy access to the town and other amenities.
Great location clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay again.

Beautiful location, unique period property
Curtain rails need a little silicone spray on them!
4.5
The apartment was very spacious and beautifully decorated in keeping with the property style.
The location was perfect, 5 minutes walk to Front Street for shops, cafes and restaurants, 5 minutes walk the other way to the park and promenade walk to the Spanish Bastion or Fish Quay the other way. A few minutes walk to the Metro station where a market is hosted every Saturday & Sunday, that was well worth a visit, dogs are allowed in the market.
The small front enclosed garden was great for our small dog too. The locals and neighbours were all super friendly.
If staying in the area again we would definitely want to stay here again. Communication with Nigel was very good.
A full length mirror would have been appreciated, not a big deal however would have been good to have.

Hosts were wonderfully helpful arranging my stay last minute - really felt reassured. Front room and location are particular positives. Make sure you get a deluxe hot choc from Wood on the main road.

Lovely Victorian apartment in a quiet and beautiful area of Tynemouth. A couple of minutes from Tynemouth high street with plenty of restaurants and amenities. You can see the North Sea and River Tyne from the apartment too.
Very cosy and comfortable
Dogs loved it too! Great walks near by.
We will definitely visit again!
