Beware - thieves and conmen!

On the beach

The staff at Ifa are thieves and conmen! Dinner was totally overpriced - they call 7 tiny rubber rings a calamari main! The manager was not interested in our complaint. On checkout, they then pretended that my credit card did not go through and charged me twice for this disgusting meal for 6 people. All complaints since our return has been ignored by Ifa Beach Resort, as well as Bookings.com!

Pleasant

Breakfast. We had to leave for the airport and the lady that served our breakfast was very quickly. We had a room with sea-view.

The water of the swimmingpool and the shower was salt. The mosquito-nets didn't close well. The room was not cosy.

Great place!!!

Is a hotel for families, with children facilities. So expect many children bothering around. Not recommended for a quite vacation.

Room brightness. Sea view was great. Safe. Good staff

Restaurant service. Breakfast service was only good. Lunch and dinner were poor and slow. No coffee in rooms. Rooms are not cleaned everyday. Shower water dismal. Water coming out in droplets.

Bad

First there was an issue with the room we booked (triple room we sea view and balcony), so we were given a room with one double bed, no balcony. The bathroom was dated and dirty. They said they were waiting on a part to come from Stone Town to fix the issue and we'd be moved later that day or the next. When we came back from dinner the hallway and room smelt like sewage. The shower was continuously dripping. We ended up leaving that night to a different hotel. Although the staff were nice, I would not recommend this hotel. We requested a refund but I don't have my hopes up we will receive one

Very good and helpful personal. Very good foods in the restaurant. Also near to Paje to go to shoppings. Very clean and friendly people. Good beach area with different restaurants and also good place for kite surfers (not so many than in Paje)

The facility simply didnt meet our expectations.

The beds were very poor and creaky. The showers use salty sea water and you cant even brush your teeth using it. The facility does not provide soap and lotion in the rooms. It also does not provide free water in the rooms.

Place to avoid!!!

Nothing. Our room has been visited during the night by thieves who stole our phones,laptop and documents, while we were asleep inside the room. Although our laptop bag was found later in the morning inside the premises,hidden behind a generator, our phones disappeared. The owner of the premises only arrived around noon and did not show much interest to help with the investigation. Our room was on top of the reception desk where 3 employees had spent the night and according to the police it should have been an inside job. Owner of the premises however suggested that probably our son was guilty and didn't want to take any responsibility.

During the investigation not 1 drink or bottle of water was offered by the owner and he insisted that we had to pay full price and was even complaining that we liberated the room late. (While he himself arrived only at 12) For sure this is a place to avoid if you want to be treated with respect and don't like to have a bad experience. For us it was the worst experience so far.

the pool and location are incredible - situated right on the beach with easy access to numerous other restaurants/bars/cafes/shops along the beach. the breakfast served at the hotel (included in the price) was also big and filling.

The location is excellent and calm, the beach is beautiful and clean water is amazing, swimming pool is clean, restaurant is very good, the staff is welcoming and caring, the rooms are large and AC is working, the garden is clean and large, it's on the beach on an amazing spot, the only downside is the rooms furniture but considering the rest it is really nothing

All was good except furniture and maybe the towels can be a bit more washed but the rest was so good that it is really to be picky
