Very nice, spacious apartment in a historic building with great location. It was really easy to communicate with the owner who was very flexible and helpful.
The kitchen could be a little bit better equipped, e.g. a microwave and an electric kettle would've been useful. Also, there is a bar just opposite the building so it got quite noisy during the night.

Perfect location in central Volterra. Host arranged to meet us there with a temporary drop off parking permit that we could use for the time we were there tho mostly car was on the free public carpark 200 steps down!
Spacious apartment for 2 of us, well equipped - fridge and freezer, cooker, dishwasher and anything you might need (tho we didn't do more than cut up salad)! Big living room and bedroom and bed - comfortable and clean.
We learnt to keep rooms cool with closing windows and shutters in the day and opening at night - although night time temperatures were in the 30s.
We knew it was up steps so not a problem but might be for some people.
Good WiFi. Landlord responsive the couple of times I contacted him.
Really good value to be opposite the Etruscan museum and so central. But being central means people are around outside! House itself silent! A good stay in a glorious city.
As with other places we stayed, Italian power sockets are sometimes difficult to use with standard EU adapters! I had one adapter that worked everywhere but none of my others worked anywhere!

The location was perfect, central to lots of restaurants, mini mart and attractions. The apartment is spacious, the shower unit large with good water supply, useful furnishings and equipment, very good bed and double glazed windows. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Volterra and i Priori.
The kitchen sitting area could benefit from better lighting. Some people might find the two flights of stairs an issue, but they are wide and not too steep in the rise.

The apartment Il Priori is situated right in the center of historic Volterra, a beautiful, interesting and animated medieval hilltop town in the center of Tuscany. The city is an excellent base for touring the area. Volterra has 8 museums, many quality shops ad restaurants, plenty to see, and a fantastic medieval festival in summer that we attended.
The apartment is in a restricted traffic zone, and after unloading, you have to park your car on one of the designated car parks in the vicinity. Note that the apartment owners alert the municipality of your stay and endow you with a special permit allowing you to access the place by car.
Upon arrival, we called Curio, who asked his father to help us with installation and the keys. All was done quickly and efficiently, and with utmost friendliness. Communication was easy and courteous, we really felt welcomed !
The apartment itself is on the third floor of a medieval building, has two big rooms and a bathroom, is modern and fully equipped. We had breakfast and dinner there, and cooked on site. There is a supermarket just down the street. The apartment is tastefully decorated and truly pleasant. We loved it there! It was most likely the best place we stayed during our three weeks in Italy.
Note that Curio gave us invaluable advice on where to go and what to see. Thanks to him, we enjoyed winetasting on the property where he works, and we also took part in the yearly medieval festival "Volterra 1389". All in all, our host helped us make this a truly memorable occasion. Bravo!
It was really hot ! Also, be prepared to bring your suitcases up those stairs !!! It did not bother us, though.
