The place to be!!

Everything was just perfect!! The rooms are spacious and the views spectacular. The staff were very friendly and the food is delicious.

Excellent establishment, value for money and outstanding staff!

The staff were exceptional! Thanks to Kathleen, Megan and Anna. We were accommodated with an early check-in and were assisted when we returned late that evening from a wedding. We are so thankful to the ladies for their assistance from the time booking was done until we checked out. Absolutely amazing establishment!

Perfect for what we needed

terrific! we joined the celebration of their 50th Anniversary. My Cousin plus husband.

food quality at dinner was truely wonderful considering cooking during load shedding. Breakfast very good whilst bedrooms are older style, most comfortable and adequate.

Wonderful!

Our stay at Old Halliwell was wonderful. The staff and service were great and the breakfast was delicious. We would absolutely stay there again.

We didn't realize that there was only a bathtub with a handheld shower. Not a deal breaker, but something to be aware of if you are a shower person.

Just a dream. If we are going to stay in area again there will be only one choice:

The whole Hotel is like a Paradise! The room was very nice and clean. The dinner served in a wonderful atmosphere was excellent. Also the breakfast was very good. On top the host and his team were outstanding friendly and supportive.

It is not easy to find but more than worthwhile to try.

Old school charm

Beautiful,peaceful and tells a great story. Historical property,boasting old school charm. Our room was spacious with a fireplace,perfect for the cold Midland's nights. Complimentary welcome drink. Toiletries provided. Clean and big swimming pool in good proximity to the rooms. The property is impeccably clean. Food was absolutely divine with portions so big,we could not finish our meals. Exceptional service by the whole team. Highly recommendable. Thank you Clinton and team,we enjoyed our stay.

Can do with a few touch ups here and there,to the couch,cupboards and bathroom. A suggestion, to please supply drinking water to the rooms. I made contact three times trying to request an early check-in but received no response.

Tranquil stay for a night away.

We loved the old country house charm, spacious room and vast quantities of firewood. If you're looking for a tranquil setting away from the bustle and bustle (and technology) of the city this is your spot.

The mobile phone signal is patchy at best and the array of TV channels available is very basic.

We had a wonderful 5 day break at Halliwel Country Inn.

The rooms are comfortable and the facilities are great. The staff is exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble, including offering meals off the lunch menu for dinner.

I would have liked a shower in the bathroom.

A spot not to miss on your trip to the Midlands in KZN and such good value for money

We had a delightful room with our own fireplace. Pefectly stocked each day with firewood, kindling and starter Lovely rusks with tea / coffee. The food in the restaurant was outstanding and the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. A HUGE thank you to Clinton, Gail and the whole Halliwell team. Onwards and upwards to you all and wishing you many many Weddings at your special venue
