The garden area was pretty and the staff were friendly and nice. They tried their best to sort out problems.
The basic double room had a very thin mattress, bright light with no shade, small ants that bit were all over the bed and room and there was no water pressure in the shower.
They moved us, but told us we would need to pay extra, but in the morning there was still no water pressure.
They blamed the water issue as part of an island issue and that they don't want to burst their pipes during the night and we should be ok with this because they are not 5 star accommodation. Passing blame is not what I expect from any star accommodation.
We had bucket showers.

Un petit manque de pression dans les douches

Precio y sitio acceptable
Teniendo en cuenta que en Filipinas no tienes que pagar por agua no me pareció correcto que tuvieras que pagar por ello.

We liked everything except the bathroom. The staff was kind and welcoming, room was simple and clean, airconditioning was a plus, good breakfast for a great price, shared spaces very welcoming - location was good too.
The bathroom needs a deepclean (smell was overwhelming) and the water pressure of the shower should be checked - barely any water came out. It's a shame because everything else was great, so I hope the management takes this constructive criticism to heart.

good staff. beautiful garden.
tooooo noisy room. u can hear every thing from other rooms. unlucky, room ROSE two girls back in midnight, laughing talking till morning. soooo loud.
if room cant keep other rooms noisy out. make up keeping quiet rules in midnight for everyone is needed.
完!全!不隔音!!!!
不在乎你睡眠好不好。都没办法。
既然房间质量不好。就应该制定半夜安静公约。不作为只能让口碑变差!

Great location. Nice and quite Away from Alona beach. The nearest beach is much quieter with a beautiful sunset and a few beach bars. Staff are friendly and accommodating. The rooms are comfy and the gardens around are beautiful. Attracts lots of nice backpackers.

The property was good value for money. The staff were extremely helpful and booked all our transport for us. Staff were always friendly and kind and the owner helped us arrange our transport to the port.
It was a little bit far from the main strip but the staff were very good at getting tuktuks to pick us up.

Very nice bungalow room 😍

Very cute and chill vibe. The hammocks in the common area were awesome and really added to the island vibe. The staff were so friendly and helped us with organising tricycles and a motorcycle to get around. The accommodation itself was like a cute, little villa which we really enjoyed. There were fans in our room to help with the heat.
There is a shared toilet block - this didn't actually bother us at all but for those who are thinking they may want their own private bathroom, it is something to consider

such lovely vibes it really felt like a home from home. the staff were exceptional at helping with anything you needed and very good at English speaking also! the place is decorated so well with hammocks and sofas - could genuinely spend hours just chilling in the main area. food was delicious and they made us special dishes with tofu since we don’t eat meat. such great value for money.
I liked everything! the showers were cold but it was needed when the weather is so hot!

Very nice staff, good breakfast, cosy hut and you can easily rent a scooter there. The beach is close and the place is quiet! Good value for money.
So many mosquitoes that it was difficult to enjoy our terrasse but there was a mosquito net over the bed. The shower room are clean but not always functionning.

The manager tried her best to fix some of the issues
If I could give this place a 0 I would. This standard room was not fit for purpose from the minute we arrived. We arrived to a shack with no working lock or door, which no staff had noticed. When we got in the room we discovered the bed was on a 25 degree angle so you would constantly roll to the wall and pull the mosquito net off. Not that this particularly mattered because the net was littered with holes to let all the mosquitos in. Sleeping in the room became even more unbearable with the electricity turned off and we had no fan.
The next issue was the bathrooms having literally no water. You couldn't wash your hands let alone have a shower. The toilets didn't wash either and the bathrooms hadn't been cleaned. There was loads of hair in one of the showers. We complained to management numerous times and were promised the water was fixed but it was not. The deluxe rooms also had little to no running water.
We had no choice but to move so we could at least shower and wash our hands. We were just told sorry. There was no refund for the night we were loosing, even though their facilities were not up to scratch and the facilities they had on booking.com were untrue. I find it absolutely disgusting that the owner of this place is renting out this room which is uninhabitable and not fixing massive issues with the establishment, but building a new room. The building work starts at 7am too, so if you are not a morning riser be prepared to have an awful awakening. This also was not stated anywhere on booking.com.
The price of scooter rental is appalling compared to at Alona Beach. The place isn't close to anywhere, and the breakfast is gross and overpriced. Stay somewhere at Alona Beach, and you'll have a much more pleasant time and actually have water.
DO NOT STAY HERE!!

I compared many budget-friendly places in Palao to stay in for five nights and decided to stay at Adrianna's Backpackers resort. The resort is in close proximity to a beach, which is very pretty and good for a relaxed day at the water. It's my favourite beach on the island. The resort features plenty of greenery, and has a chill common area with a bar. The staff is also friendly.
I booked the double room with balcony to have my own quiet space to relax and read a book. Unfortunately, that was not possible.
The room was located right next to the dorm and didn't have any windows. You could hear everything from the dorm, as well as the private area of the owners. In general, it was very loud starting early in the morning. I didn't manage to sleep longer than 7 am, even with earplugs! During my first night, the young child of the staff came banging at my door at 7 am and woke me up for literally no reason. I complained to her mother about it and she said that's what children do - she didn't really seem to be concerned.
The second day I was woken up by very loud construction sounds again at 7 am- they started replacing the roof of the main area. They started tearing down the roof, there was dust and debris everywhere. The staff told me that this would only last for some days days and from the morning to 5pm. Still, to me this was completely unacceptable - the main area was unusable, it was extremely loud, and dusty. The staff just said that most people would go to the beach anyway, so what's the problem??
At that point I got angry and decided that I wouldn't spent my stay at a construction site. It's not what I have paid for. It's so disrespectful towards all the guests, especially who come from far away to spend their limited vacation days here. Especially rude is to not inform them beforehand.
In my view they should've closed the resort for the time of the renovation. After some negotiation they refunded me partially for my remaining three nights, but I lost about 700 pesos. It's so sad to me that I have to suffer, and loose money because of their lack of care and customer orientation.
I wouldn't recommend you to stay at Adrianna's, although it's beautifully located but noisy and certainly lacks the right attitude towards the guests.

Bedroom was clean and good wifi
Overprice for what it's. The toilet and shower are very weak.
We rented a scooter, the lady we booked with, said PHP450 the next day it was another lady she told us PHP500 and in the end we paid PHP400. The scooter was book for 10AM, we only have it at 11:30 AM. We feel like they just wanted to have our money. Some time they refill our bottle of water for free and sometime they ask us to paid. For the price we paid the room the water should be free all the time.
The restaurant is expensive, better go somewhere else.

As the place is very cheap, it’s ok that the rooms are very basic, but you should not expect too much. The outside area is nice with a lot of plants.
A child was running into our room and tried to steal money. The shared bath room needs a renovation and was not always clean. As it is open there were a lot of insects - especially during night time. There is a beach nearby but they want 100 PHP entry per person, so you can’t just go to it for free.

We stayed in the family hut just behind the reception, which is a small but perfect little house/cabana with its privated seating room. The shared facilities were spotlessly clean and the communal areas lovely decorated. The staff is very helpful and gave us tips for going to the beach, which is 5 min walk down the road. They also help you with booking tours and have their own scooters for rent. The beach down the road has a fee, 100 PHP/person but i would totally recommend you to go. If you don't want yo pay the fee, you still have the option of going another 5 min by scooter and you will be able to access it for free. There are plenty of food options close by, including the Flaming Bistro Bar, which I totally recommend you to visit

We liked the overall stay at this cozy place. Staffs were kind and ambiance is excellent
There's a little room for improvement for food though to better match their current pricing
