I write this review with immense gratitude and love for this place and the hosts. The apartment exceeded our expectations! In reality, it is even more beautiful and charming than in the photos. It is located in Grindelwald, quite far from the crowded center, which is a good thing as it provides a quiet atmosphere and gorgeous views. You feel like you are alone with nature. Just make sure to plan your day well and check the bus schedule. The last bus from the city center is around 6:40 pm, so we had the opportunity to spend evenings on the terrace with a nice glass of wine and fondue! Yes, you can make your own fondue as the kitchen is very well-equipped and has everything you need.👌🏻
This place is very comfortable and clean. Frau Lohner was extremely welcoming, caring, and helpful. Thank you again! I hope we can come back someday.❤️

The apartment was impeccable. Sooo clean and comfortable. It's small, but the kitchen is well-equipped. You may have to hunt for applicances in the many cabinets. The view of Eiger from the backyard was a bonus. The hostess is very sweet and even gave us a ride to the station since she was heading that way. Just understand that the price is low because she doesn't accept credit cards for the tax and deposit.
We're American and the hostess doesn't speak English. Just so you know. Body language works magic though. That, and Google translate. But that's not really a problem as we had very little transaction. The only bad part is that she requires the local tax in Swiss Francs. After a month in Europe in 4 other countries, this is the only one we had to use an ATM, and they charge high fees. (Avoid Credit Suisse like the plague). So, it costs much more money and inconvenience. She also requires a $300 CHF deposit in cash that is mentioned in small print in one of the several emails sent out later. But she let it slide for us. That's a major inconvenience for others as you could pay as much as 40 percent fees on a Credit Suisse ATM just to use cash. EVERYONE uses credit cards now and the owner should adjust and just charge more in the nightly fee so that these fees can be paid via credit card. That being said, the price of the room is low and this is why. Also, in September the buses only run every 1/2 hour and the last one is before 7 pm! Otherwise, it's a long walk uphill from town.

Big, cozy rooms with an excellent view of alps from the patio. Hot water available 24/7 and check-in was smooth. The hosts were sweet and kitchennete was good for a family.
Some appliances like toaster, microwave were non fuctional. Local taxes were only collected in cash. Bathing soap was not provided.

Super clean and cozy room, it had everything we needed (well equipped kitchen, comfy bed, deluxe bathroom)
We enjoyed the view from our room to the mountains. All six days were quiet, we could have refreshing sleeps all the time.
The host was very helpful and polite. I can only recommend this place, perfect base for hikers. We hiked all nearby mountains, up to the glaciers. This location was the best choice for exploring the Jungfrau region.
Community tax was not shown in the advertisement. Aside from this everything was perfect!

Very clean and cosy apartment. All kitchen items we needed were available and even a nice bottle of wine was welcoming us. Gorgeous view up on the mountains from the apartment!
The apartment was a bit small, i.e. sleeping and eating in the same room. The bed was okay but the sheets were way to warm for our comfort.
