We really enjoyed our short stay. We would stay there again. Check-in was a breeze and it’s a great pub, too.

Location. Bed. Had everything we needed.

The stairs. The shower needs updating and the water pressure isn’t great. However, it’s England so we expected the second and already knew about the first. So, no complaints.

Great Experience

Very friendly and helpful staff. Iconic english pub with a special historical connection to seafarers and cruise ships over the years. Nicely decorated with images and memorabilia from days past, including the Titanic. Lovely experience for 1st time visitors!!

Narrow stairs, but staff was super helpful!!

Über einem Pub ist es immer ein bisschen lauter, aber es war ok. Die Matratze war sehr billig und die Matratzenfedern waren trotz Körpergewicht von nur 60 kg deutlich spürbar im Liegen.

The location is excelent and the value for money is amazing. Be aware that you will have to carry your luggage up two steep flights of stairs.

Good value

Pleasant room, relatively quiet despite the bars in the opposite street. Small but comfortable. Staff was really nice. Perfect location if you plan to connect with the ferry.

Bars in the street are still noisy even it's really acceptable from my own experience.

Good location for a variety of restaurants.

The bed had a foot board and when you are 6' 4" tall, it is sometimes hard to rest with your legs straight.

Very good

Stayed for one night. Beautiful, spacious room, with a large bathroom. Complementary water bottles. And a discount at the bar :) I didn't find the stairs narrow and steep as some have said, but it depends on how much luggage you carry, and your mobility. Comfortable beds. Friendly staff. Didn't experience any noise from the street. Will stay again.

A nice stay at a hideaway in central Southampton

A clean room with some nice condiments, a comfy bed, the discount card and all in a central location.

The stairs where cramped for carrying suitcases and where hard to navigate.

Fantastic staff and the room was clean and well equipped.

It’s a walk up property with no elevators so this may be a problem for people with mobility issues.

Perfect spot close to everything, clean and good hospitality

Good location, clean rooms and good hospitality. Great story involving the Titanic. Travelling from Australia and thought it was a great spot to stay.

We had a wonderful time at The Grapes!

Oxford Street in Southampton was an amazing location. A vibrant area with bars and restaurants and all within an easy walk of shopping and the cruise ship terminal.

The shower didn’t have hot enough water for me!
