Location was very central and they have “emergency room” for early arrivals to rest a bit if room not ready
The place looks nothing like the photos - dirty - clearly totally unloved in every way - the staff (as per other guests comments) are looking down at their phones or the tv screen 24/7 - unfriendly - the sheets were grey and so badly pilled they scratched - marks and dirty walls everywhere- half the light globes didn’t work and were mismatched - when they say they provide toiletries- this means a bar of soap and toilet paper!
I had to ask for a kettle (and of course then a cup etc) ask for a beach towel -
The room we never cleaned once in four days.
Rubbish everywhere.
Even their poor dog is in terrible condition with his coat not being groomed - back home this is on the verge of animal cruelty.
A/c not working and had to come back to room on two occasions and days to let them in to repair when I had given permission on phone to just go in.
Anyway as a wrap DONT STAY HERE - I left early and found a fabulous place right on the ocean front for same price.

They were sweet and let me have a late check out and helped me kindly with things with a smile.
I can't think!

The room was clean, the bed was incredibly comfortable (few accommodations have that), AC and private fresh bedroom. The AC and fan seemed very clean since we didn't get sick from it. They even left us two water bottles for free and the room had it's own fridge. Staff was very kind and helpful. The price is very good for everything that you get!
The location was great and it was a secret little path on the backside of the house that leads directly to the beach! The restaurant's prices was reasonable and the food was great. I really appreciated walking around the garden and seeing all the different plants and flowers.
The only thing I can think of is that they asked for half of the payment in advance. It's kind of complicated to do international transfers and it would be easier to just pay everything on spot. But the payment information was easy to follow. The problem was that it takes a few days for the payment to go through and when I arrived they hadn't seen the payment. But the staff was helpful and they were fine with it all when I showed them the payment on my phone and sent them a printscreen to their email.

Really good location right by relaxed Agonda beach. The property is well presented and rooms comfortable and clean. The staff are very friendly and although breakfast wasn’t included they had a very good selection on breakfast options in the restaurant at cheap prices.
Wifi was sometimes patchy in the room but easy enough to sit on one of the sofas outside and use it

In general, a good place. Very good location at the first line. Very friendly and helpful staff and good food.
A slight discomfort in our case was due to a construction site next to this place, so it was a bit noisy when our grandson wanted to sleep in the afternoon.

Mario Paolo is a family run guest house. Hendrick and his wife Sophia and their children live on-site and the guest house is named after his beloved aunt and uncle. Hendrick was great at communication regarding our booking and replied very quickly via WhatsApp. There is a nice family atmosphere and the regular staff look after your every need and are very helpful. Navin and Ajay in the bar and restaurant are lovely guys and will hop on their scooters to go get special requests, if they haven't got the item, like my request for brown bread.
Paulina is the hard working housekeeper, who greets you with a big smile and is always there to help.
Unfortunately, due to a health issue, we had to leave before our long term booking ended and Hendrick was very kind and agreed to terminate the booking with no extra charge and even refunded a few days. If you stay there long term, you are part of the family and they have many long term bookings.
Our room felt a little cramped for a long stay, not enough storage, but there are tables and sofas directly outside the rooms, in the communal lounge area.
We struggled with the restaurant food. The tandoori oven was not operating so freshly grilled fish was not available and we found a lot of the other food choices were very unappetizing and badly cooked. However, other guests seemed to enjoy their selections, so it may be a matter of taste.

Food was good..Balcony view was good..People are friendly
Having Water kettle in room and intercom would be good

Location is great, and also good accommodation for value.
It's almost connected to beach, not directly, but between street and some another accommodation before beach, there is passage so you can reach beach in 2 minutes.
Rooms are ok, enough space, if no balcony, there is nice window.
Ventilation, AC good, you can always refresh and relax in room, beds are comfortable. Cleaning lady always giving clean, fresh towels and bath mat.
Property is good, but now well maintained. Employees are not so interested to interact with guests, they just looking at phones every time and stare at you when you pass by them.
Room is not clean as it should be, toilet as well. Sand in wardrobe and moisture smell.
Just a little bit more smile and getting up before guests would be nice.
We can't get coffee in the morning before 8/8:30, we have to go to another caffee.

Location is walkable distance from beach
Owner knows that room has several issues but he doesn't want to fix them to save costs. All the good ratings are for sea side facing rooms. We payed extra to upgrade to that but unfortunately it started raining and sea facing rooms got flooded with water. We shifted back to normal room. Blankets and towels provided in that room are terrible. Once we pointed out, owner agreed to change towels. Owner later on says that we are not allowed to ask for new towels. It looks like owner has zero sense on where to cut costs ! A good towel and blanket are very basic things in a hotel room. All combined totalling to 1 days room rent. I am surprised that owner is not willing to buy good linen as a one time cost! One of sink tap is not working in washroom. Room has spider web on windows, so we had to close curtains just to keep it out of sight.

I was really happy with my stay here. We had the sea facing balcony view and the beach was very close and accessible.
The rooms and place were well maintained and the staff was very polite and friendly. The location was lovely as there are a lot of other resorts, restaurants nearby and options for street shopping as well.
Food at the in-house restaurant is not up to the mark. There are a lot of scope of improvement with respect to food here.
3.5
The beds were comfy and good. Extra bed was provided for my daughter. So we had a double bed and single bed. Room was facing the beach. Hot water was available. There was a nice seating area or lounge before you go to the room.
We didn't like the food. It was below average. The staff were not so welcoming or helpful. The host didn't interact much with us. I didn't feel comfortable with the staff. The air conditioner was not working. However we didn't mind as we wanted the beach facing view.
