I didn’t want to leave this beautiful place😍

Perfect location, far enough from the main town area to enjoy a very peaceful environment but just a short Tuk-Tuk journey to bars and restaurants. The property has its own Tuk-Tuk and will provide transport anywhere for a small charge. Different View was the number one homestay of our trip. Lovely family who were always available but not intrusive. Best, freshly cooked, breakfast, (thankyou to the grandmother of the family). Lovely room, amazing view, very relaxing. Highly recommend. 😍

Enjoyable 3 nights staying with a truly beautiful welcoming family. Even the monkeys that visited each morning were wond

The views from the terrace whilst eating breakfast each morning were the highlight of our trip so far. The host and his family were such lovely people and simply could not do enough to make your stay enjoyable. Really recommend staying here. The location was perfect, peaceful but only 10-15 mins by foot to Ella town where all the action is..

Fantastisk udsigt og godt til prisen

Udsigten er helt fantastisk! Og klart det fedeste ved stedet. Morgenmaden er varierende og velsmagende, værten er flink og blæseren på værelset er god. Der er rart at være, og vi så aber på balkonen flere gange :-)

Der er ikke noget tryk på bruseren på badeværelset, så det er svært at få sig et ordentligt bad. Wifi virker stort set ikke. Myggenettet over sengen trænger til en rengøring. Første nat (fredag) sov vi ikke, fordi der var meget larm fra en fest i nærheden, men det kan værten jo ikke gøre for :-)

absolute lovely

A very hospitabel familydriven accommodation. Quiet with a beautiful view surrounded by the jungle. For sigthseeing and trips they arrange transport to very reasonable conditions. Just 15 min walk from the center.

The breakfast was nice. Afternoon tea was a bonus

There was no hot water unless the sun was shining and even then only Luke warm. The WiFi was extremely slow and most didn't work at all. The owner stings you 500 SLR for the 700m ride to town

Freundliche Besitzer und schöner Ausblicl

Die Aussicht auf der Terrasse ist wunderschön. Das Frühstück ist reichlich und sehr lecker. Die Besitzer sind sehr freundlich. Die Lage ist ruhig, man kann aber trotzdem zu Fuß die Stadt erreichen.

Das Zimmer war nicht wirklich sauber und es roch sehr muffig. Das Moskitonetz war dreckig, obendrauf lagen sehr viele tote Tierchen. Das Bad war nicht richtig geputzt worden.

My favorite homestay in Sri Lanka 😊

One of my favorite homestays I have been. The view over the jungle is amazing. You can enjoy a large breakfast while watching the sun go up over Little Adams Peak and if you’re lucky, a family of monkeys may climb through the trees on the right side. The location is calm but in 5min you’re in the city center of Ella by tuktuk. The rooms are very clean with a hair dryer, hot shower and large fan provided. However, the hospitality of the host family is what truly made it fantastic. The lovely host and his dad were super helpful to us arranging every transport for us in and around Ella to whatever sight we wanted to visit. All in all, I would only recommend this place to everyone!

Amazing sunrise view at a great place

Beautiful, small, family owned place in 15 min walking distance to Ella town. We had a great time in Ella at Different View. The family was really friendly and supportive and the breakfast prepared by the owners father was delicious. The view from the balcony for sunrise is just amazing. Could not get enough of it.

Lovely family and great breakfast!

My friend and I stayed here for 2 nights during our stay in Ella and it was wonderful. The family that runs this property is so friendly and kind. They gave us a really reasonably priced custom tour in their tuk tuk around Ella. The included breakfast is incredible, and they even did something special for my birthday. I would highly recommend staying here!

Clean room, lovely family, excelent breakfast

It felt like we where part of the family. They took care of us for many ways. They help us to book a dentist and gave us some medicine. Accomadation has own tuktuk and they drove us to where ever we wanted to go. Breakfast very delicious and it was little diffrent every morning. We will always be thankfull for the lovely and good hearted family.

Perfect, quiet place to stay. View from the terrace is really nice. Had very good breakfast and several tea times along 2 night stay. Host and his family is very welcoming. There was celebrations in hosts family so we and others who were staying at the guesthouse had very delicious dinner from the host. Thank you very much! Also used tuc-tuc services for tour around Ellas must see places to save time provided by hosts father. Absolutely recommend, obviously better service than from someone picked up in the city.

Hidden gem in Ella

The view is fantastic from the terrace, it is located 15 minutes from Ella downtown where the restaurants are.

A place to relax

This is a quiet place with a beautiful view you can start and finish the day with. Nalaka is a kind and helpful host and his family serves a great tasting and variable breakfast every day. You just walk 15 minutes to Ella center. We really recommend this place.

Comfortable and relaxing

The views from this location are spectacular! The breakfast every morning was a different variety and home cooked by Nalakas mother. We experienced a really lovely family feeling while staying at Different View, they are so happy to help with anything you may need and do it with a smile. We stayed 4 days and enjoyed some time to relax from our other travels, the rooms are comfortable and the beds are large, the pillows are a little too big and at times uncomfortable and I would recommend using Pick Me driver to your next destination if you are travelling onwards from Ella as the taxi we had was very expensive and a very slow journey. We really enjoyed our time here and would stay again in a heart beat. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality!

Great place to stay

Its a really nice experience in a jungle. Great and super friendly hosting family. Great breakfast. Good wifi (if there is no electricity cuts). Totally recommend!

This is not that i didnt like it but the place is up a mountain thus it is not easy to reach. However the family helped us to get us in place (there was a storm all the evening thus it was a bit difficult to reach the place). Great experience, super friendly hosting family.

we would come again.

the view is great. you can enjoy breakfast at your terrace and enjoy that. In the surrounding are quite a few monkeys which you can watch. The owner takes care that they don’t steel your breakfast. the location is good. you are in town after a ten minute walk. the owner is very friendly and gives advises when needed.

the rooms itself are very basic and the mosquito net was dirty.

Clean hotel not far from the center of Ella at a good price. Friendly staff, beautiful views from the terrace, delicious breakfast. You can watch monkeys at breakfast.

The stay could not be paid in dollars, although the reservation stated that it was possible. There was no problem with that in other accommodations in Sri Lanka.
