Great accommodation for the price!

The room was spacious and clean and the location was excellent! Just aside from the main road that you cant hear the traffic! Owner was friendly and welcoming!

There was little bit of mosquitos and insects in the room but it didnt bother us too much! It is what it is sometimes!

Good for beach and restaurants

Ideal location for beach, restaurants etc. clean and lots of red hot water which was nice! Room had A/C which I note some other reviewers say was lacking - think you have to book an A/C room, overall was happy enough given the price I paid.

Unlike many other places the host wasn’t really around much to help with enquiries etc.

Amazing!

Although we met the a lot of friendly Sri Lankan people, this host is the most friendly one we met. He will do anything to make your stay even better than it already is and he will do so with a smile! Also this location is amazing, just one minute walk of the beach with al it’s nice restaurants as well. And it’s located perfectly in the city centre of Mirissa without having a lot of noise in your apartment. And we could park the tuktuk safely. The stay here was so amazing we extended twice, because there is just so much to do (Parrot Rock, Cocconut Hill, Snorkling, Surfing in Weligama, etc.) in the area and this location provides the perfect base.

Alles super!

Die Unterkunft hat uns sehr gut gefallen! Vor allem das geräumige Zimmer und der dazugehörige große Balkon. Die Lage und der Gastgeber sind ebenfalls super! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Können das Soorya Guest Mirissa auf jeden Fall empfehlen.

Close to the beach

A very basic accommodation that needs a lot of work. Not as expected or described. 'city view' consisted of a building site. The handrail up to the rooms was about to fall off and extremely unsafe. The area surrounding the building the rooms are in was disguising and full of litter/old house hold items. There were facilities specified that were not supplied i.e toiletries - we got one small hand soap. Definitely not worth the money, especially considering we paid less for more in other areas of Sri Lanka - even more busy areas. Would not stay again.

Exceptional

We only spent one night here because we extended our stay in Mirissa. Everything was fabulous. The accommodation was clean, there was a mosquito net around the bed. The breakfast was very good! Next time we stay in Mirissa, we would stay there again. The location is also very central and relatively quiet for the city.

We stayed 2 weeks in this beautiful guesthouse. Large room. Large and very junglely balcony. Very friendly family. You can rent scooters for cheaper than outside. Thank you for having us.

Lovely Gueshouse close to the beach

This was such a peaceful and relaxing place to stay in an amazing location, moments from the beach. The family who run the guesthouse are really lovely and very kind, I highly recommend eating the home made curry which was delicious. The bed was so comfortable with a mosquito net and the bathroom was spotless. I really appreciated the little private seating area outside my room in the garden.

Very good location just a few meters so the beach, shops and restaurants but a bit tucked away from the street so it wasn't that loud. Big and cosy beds. Very clean. We extended our stay after 2 nights as we liked it that much.

Lovely family ran hotel!

Great location - just across the road from the gorgeous beach. The friendliest family run the place who were so helpful - helping us to do laundry and arranging a taxi to our next location. The room had a gorgeous big balcony and two big comfy beds. Really lovely place.

The room had 2 fans but no AC and it does get quite hot and stuffy but I think they also do have rooms with AC that might be better in the warmer months.

Great value for money

The location is great. Quiet but still only a few minutes from the beach and many restaurants. Bed is very big with mosquito net. Hot shower and everything is clean.

The bug that flew in our room ;) But thankfully the friendly the owner came to the rescue. 😅

Convenient

Owner, Tharanga was welcoming and friendly! As soon as we mentioned we came for whale watching, he was generous enough to tell that he will be flexible with check out time and we can have late check out if the sea tour going to be late. Thanks Tharanga!

Could have focused more on toiletries. we were on unplanned trip with two kids [ trips that happen :) ] and would have been helpful if there's adequate amount.

A nice place to start exploring Mirissa

Its a great place to stay a couple of days and hang around. You could walk to the main road really quick and head to the beach or buy some supplies from Cargills. The owner and his family are so welcoming and nice people.

Amazing host very kind and helpful gave all information about near by attractions including whale watching. Room very spacious, comfy bed, good WiFi, the building is surrounded by lovely greenery yet it is very close to the beach and center of Mirissa.
