DANGEROUS! DO NOT STAY HERE! The host SNUCK INTO MY BEDROOM @ 11pm WHILE SLEEPING

There was nothing to like - this is unsafe, unclean and doesn’t look like photos. False advertising.

The host (older male) snuck into my bedroom after 11pm while I was SLEEPING!!!!!! I screamed “get out” and he didn’t leave instead walked closer to me while I was laying in bed, I jumped out of bed and pushed him out and blocked off the door. As a vulnerable young girl I was scared for my life. I acted fast and got out, the host was waiting for me and followed me out the door and down the street. It was like a horror story. Thankfully the worst didn’t happen and I woke up before he carried out any of the terrible things he planned to do. That’s the closest I felt to feeling I’m going to die/ be murdered. Ended up paying a lot for a premier inn last minute as I was left strolling around at midnight in London. I’ve informed the police and booking.com, the police have taken it very seriously unfortunately booking.com haven’t, they haven’t taken any actions to make it right and have not responded to my email sent 5 days ago despite multiple follow up emails. This experience and how it’s been handled has put me off using booking.com ever again in future — they don’t care about your safety. Be very cautious and don’t believe all the info presented to you on this site, the fact this listing is still on here says it all.

Not coming back.

the host was friendly.

The heater wasn’t working. There was a draft coming in through the window. The Netflix channel was in Spanish and I couldn’t change the settings to English. The chocolates on the drawer were stale. It was a cold and dingy. And you could hear all the noise from all the other rooms. And I couldn’t get hold of the host when I was trying to get into the flat. Tried contacting him on the numbers I was provided but went straight to voicemail. He eventually called me and said he’d be there in ten minutes after I finally managed to let myself in. He definitely took way longer than ten minutes to get to us and welcome us.

Exactly what we needed

We had an emergency and had to stay in a hotel, this place was exactly what we needed. It has a kitchen with a lot of pots, a clean nice bathroom and a good room. Nice big tv! Super close to Finsbury Park, which is where we needed to be. If we’ll need a place in the area again, we’ll definitely come back.

Great location and value for money

Location of rooms was excellent. Close to the train station and tube. Very close to the venue I was attending for education. Rooms, shared bathrooms and toilets and facilities were always clean.

Located on a busy street with lots of shops so can be a bit noisy at times during the day and on the weekends

close to Finsbury Park station

The host was apologetic when I had to wait for a long time to get access to the room. He even arranged for a bottle of wine to be delivered to my room as an apology.

The common area should be kept cleaner especially the kitchen and the toilet.

OK to crash for a night, and reasonable value for London.

The place was clean. The shared bathroom was very close and the shower worked well. The kitchen was two floors down but didn't matter because we had tea/coffee making facilities in the room. The room also had a fridge, though we didn't use it. The host communicated well.

The room is small and there is no living area.

it’s was a very nice stay, clean, tidy and quiet

only the odd little thing, the light didn’t have a light shade on it, so the brightness of the bulb gives you a bit of a headache if it’s in your line of sight. and also there was no lamp, so the room was either fully bright or pitch black, which wasn’t a real problem as I was only either awake of asleep in there!

I honestly enjoyed my stay it was fantastic and it would be my first choice if i ever desire to

I usually find it hard to sleep in my own bed but the mattress was so comfortable no disturbance , the landlord was very nice and caring made so welcomed and comfortable during my stay , location was amazing you can get anything you want to , i will definitely recommend it good value for money too

i wanted to booked for my next visit in 2 weeks time but there was an availability on the day i wanted to come again, i wish the landlord could have accommodate me that day but not in his control as all those days were booked in advance

Ease of location to our event. Room was basic but clean

No reception desk/area. Just a door in the middle if the street. No answer from given contact for check-in so had to ring various numbers for access and wait on the street for someone to turn up. Obviously a converted office space. Small basic room. Shared bathrooms and kitchen area
