Awesome bed, great hotel.

This hotel is really graat! Very few things to complain about (see below). The bed was fantastic! Big sized that could easily fit 2 adults and a child, and most importabtly, actually SOFT which is very rare in Thailand outside 5 star hotels. I cannot emphasize enough how happy we were with the bed. Room layput was a bit weird with the basin in the middle of the room but it worked fine. Room is spacious and the water temperature in the shower is easy to regulate which is otherwise a common problem in Thailand. The first day the water pressure of the shower was weak, but that seemed to have fixed itself the next days. The restaurants on ground and top floor both have the same menu, with a wide selection of food at affordable price. It seemed to be oriented towards korean food but it had many other choices as well, including western food. A free drink per adult at the sky bar (alcohol free) is included, which was nice. The rooftop pool was great and there is a bar as well that you can buy drinks from while enjoying the view. The hotel offers a free shuttle service to downtown with regular departures (every 30 min or so). The room had a big whale as a soft toy that our kid really fell in loft with, and accurate for the theme of the hotel (the whale theme shows in many ways). They sell both the whale and their soft bed matresses in the lobby. Two days we borrowed some pool towels for our beach trip and there was no problem - just ask in the reception. Upon check out one lady from the lobby was nice and helped to bring our luggage to the car. She was the only staff that really showed a service mindness. All in all we had a great experience and would definitely return. The bed was the highlight of our stay, but the soft whale tpy was a very nice touch too for our 9 yesr old boy.

The only thing to complain about was the attitude of most of the staff. It was not bad, but they just seemed uninterested in their job. No smiles or that extra little bit of service mindedness. Both me and my girlfriend nlticed this, as well as a visitor to us who csme by, npticed this indepedently of each other. The hotel also seems slightly understaffed which showed when ordering food in either of the restaurants. On the ground floor, were we close to the only guests and the waiter would do garden work in between serving us. Next evening we ate at the rooftop restaurand and there were some more guests beside us, but only one staff to serve as both the bartender and waiter. After lrdering our food by the pool we wanted to order drinks but the staff was busy bartending 10 meters away out of our view. After waiting a long time I had to walk over to the bar to order our drinks. He did call for help and another lady from the staff came up but it did not seem to help.

Es war ein grosses Zimmer mit einem sehr bequemen grossen Bett👍 das Personal war sehr freundlichen👍das hotel ist ein bißchen ausserhalb daher ist es ruhig

An manchen Stellen außerhalb der Dusche fiel der Verputz ab den Wänden weil Wasser eindrang. Das Zimmer könnte ein bißchen neue Farbe vertragen

Nice hotel

Good bed and showers. Gym was old and not functional. Poor equipment and design. Rooms were clean and spacious however an electrical problem means the lights stayed on low all night.

Klasse, sehr schön!

Das Bett war der Hammer - die Zimmer klasse - das Pool o.k. - Frühstück hatten wir außerhalb des Hotels. Naja, die „Sitzgruppe“ auf dem Balkon war eher für sehr Kleinwüchsige Menschen; die Badewanne auf dem Balkon völlig überflüssig.

….siehe oben; aber manchen Gästen gefällt eben auch eine Wanne auf dem Balkon. Nein, ich habe prinzipiell nichts auszusetzen und war sehr zufrieden.

It was really pleasant and made the trip even better

The staff are really nice and are always happy to help with any requirement. The cafe is nice, as is the rooftop bar and pool. The rooms are also nice. The location is challenging due to its distance from the city centre, but they offer a free shuttle bus at regular intervals.

The location, but again they offer a shuttle to mitigate this fact.

Friendly staff.

Bed perfect

Cross trainer at the gym unstable. One bike dangerous (steering). We stayed on the 7th floor. There was a party there that continued to 3 a.m. Very noisy, we couldn't sleep.

Super Unterkunft fernab vom Trubel

- geräumiges Zimmer - schöner Pool auf der Dachterrasse - viel Auswahl beim Frühstücksbuffet - gute Schallisolierung - man hat kaum was von den Zimmernachbarn gehört

- bei genauem Hinsehen waren die Fugen im Bad schimmelig - die Lage ist nicht wirklich zentral. Das wussten wir aber im Vorfeld und haben uns einen Roller ausgeliehen. Daher keine volle Punktzahl, aber trotzdem absolut zu empfehlen und wir würden es auch wieder buchen!

Away from the civilization

Nothing much. But the staff was amazing and there was a shuttle bus to the city centre as it’s a bit far located.

Almost everything: room layout, lack of toiletries (thanks god we had our own), dirtiness in the room (hairs everywhere, fat stains on the surfaces). And overall the place looks outdated and not very well maintained.

Grazie mille Whale Hua Hin!

Questa struttura è veramente fantastica. Partiamo dalla reception che accoglie i clienti con un calorosissimo saluto accompagnato da cordialità ed un cocktail di benvenuto. Siamo riusciti a fare il check in addirittura prima dell’orario stabilito, non ci hanno fatto aspettare per niente. Le stanze sono pulitissime e hanno a disposizione tutto il necessario per godersi del relax dopo un lungo volo o una lunga giornata passata ad espirare questa bellissima parte della Thailandia. La vasca sul terrazzo è la ciliegina sulla torta della stanza. Il settimo piano è stata una sorpresa: c’è un piano bar con moltissimi tipi di cocktail e possibilità di ordinare cibo dal ristorante del primo piano (cibo veramente squisito con cucina Thai e Coreana) e mangiarlo a bordo piscina. Oltre alla piscina ci si può divertire con il tavolo da biliardo. Sempre al settimo piano c’è una palestra molto attrezzata ed un’area spa. Il mio più grande complimento va al personale, cordialissimo e gentilissimo. Torneremo ancora!

Great stay at Whale Inn and we highly recommend the Inn.

The room was very well furnished, the bed comfortable—king size, lovely and medium hardness- loved having a place sit with the daybed/couch and extras like a makeup mirror —the location to the town and beach were good, and the staff were friendly, helpful, and informative. The staff were welcoming and made our stay very nice.

Everything was fantastic . Beautiful spa room, The jacuzzi twin bath was a big hit. We were on the sixth floor, overlooking the city. What's not to like.
