Well appointed with every we needed. A basket of goodies to greet us on arrival and plenty of space for everyone. Lovely outlook across the fields and it was great to be immersed ‘in nature’.
Very happy with everything and the owner was very helpful and responsive, although we didn’t meet them.

Perfectly clean
Absolutely impeccable
If I had to pick a fault I would say for 8 people should have a third toilet - and parking - you cannot park outside - you walk down the track with yr luggage
But neither were an issue

Excellent location and a lovely walk into Wirksworth. Spacious and comfortable.
Another bathroom would have been handy.

location fantastic
only thing was the path leading to the property… It needs rectification …
I have an injured knee and I slipped a couple of times trying to negotiate it …

Lovely place to stay with welcoming hosts and a very nice welcome pack of goodies too. Nice to see chickens, sheep and a lovely view from the house. Fantastic large lounge area which the kids loved playing in.
The lovely looking wooden floors in the property did mean that noise carried quite easily between floors. We got around this by putting the kids at the opposite end of the house from the lounge but it may be an issue for some people.

The host had thought about everything that we would need for our stay. The fridge was stocked with milk, there were ice cubes in the freezer, fresh flowers on the table etc. It was nice and warm ready for our arrival and the welcome basket was a lovely touch.

Lovely, spacious rooms, tastefully decorated and well equipped,. With nice views & walks on doorstep.
It was too warm for us! We did reduce thermostat below 21 but it seemed to keep going back up. Footstools would be nice addition to the lounge.

Every care is taken to make a stay in this property enjoyable. Right down to providing a substitute for the stair gate we forgot to bring for our one year old granddaughter!

Communication from the host was excellent and the whole stay really exceeded expectations - it's easily one of the nicest places I've stayed and my friends and I all want to return! The location is very peaceful with just the sounds of chickens, songbirds and a couple of peacocks - but still excellent for travel to places such as Eyam, Bakewell, Chatsworth, Arkwright's Mill. The town of Wirksworth itself has some lovely shops and eateries. The house is beautifully appointed and well-equipped while still being immaculately clean and tidy. The outside space was lovely for sitting out in the morning and evening to relax. The welcome basket was a lovely addition, with wine, tea, coffee, milk, sugar and some treats as well as fresh flowers on the table. Attention to detail is excellent including DVDs, games and books for children. It really exceeded what I'd expected from the photos.
The only other thing I would have wanted as a cheeky bonus would be a bluetooth speaker or some sort of docking station for phones for listening to music but we made do with the DAB radio.

Location and view are excellent, property was very clean and comfortable. Easy walking distance down into Wirksworth.
Little tricky to find.
