Super Stay in Matera

Bellissimo appartamento vicino al Duomo, vista dal salotto sulla città vecchia di Matera ( un sogno). Francesco super disponibile in ogni cosa, abbiamo adorato tutto del nostro soggiorno a Matera! Grazie per l’accoglienza riservata!

Wonderful apartment in best location in Matera.

A lovely apartment with great facilities. Very comfortable beds and lots of space with 2 bathrooms. The location is the best. Between the 2 sassi, up at the Piazza Duoma and east to pop in after walking during the day. So convenient and the view from the apartment was wonderful. Francesco, a wonderful kind host who allowed us to go into the apartment early as it was available and we arrived early. Really good communication with host. Thank you for this special accommodation.

Una chicca sui Sassi

L'appartamento è all'interno di una piccola corte adiacente al Duomo e con vista strepitosa sui Sassi. È molto bello, arredato con gusto e dotato di una camera nel soppalco e di due divani letto, uno matrimoniale in soggiorno ed uno singolo in cucina. Noi eravamo 5 adulti per due notti e siamo state benissimo. Abbiamo apprezzato moltissimo anche la presenza di due piccoli bagni, proprio perché eravamo in 5. La proprietaria ci ha fatto trovare sopra il tavolo tutto il necessario per la colazione. Molto disponibile e scrupoloso Luca, un collaboratore di Angela, la proprietaria, gentilissimi entrambi. Il rapporto qualità prezzo è stato fantastico. Consiglio vivamente questo vero gioiello!

Il divano letto matrimoniale era un po' scomodo.

Stunning accommodation

Angela was kind enough to collect us from the parking building and take us to the accommodation and did the same when leaving as we had mobility issues. The location was all we hoped. Although by the Duomo very quiet, amazing view. Breakfast provided was lovely. Angela provided us with lots of information. Tv didn't work and she insisted on getting it fixed immediately even though we didn't need it. I can't praise her and her amazing accommodation enough. please stay you won't be disappointed. Thank you Angela for allowing us to stay.

Sehr gemütliche FeWo in phantastischer Lage mit atemberaubenden Blick auf die Sassi

Wir wurden von Angela sehr herzlich persönlich empfangen, sie hatte in der Wohnung bereits einige frische Lebensmittel vorbereitet, auch Milch. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet, es gibt alles, was man für ein paar Tage braucht. Die Lage ist absolut phantastisch, 10 Schritte von der Domterrasse weg und sehr ruhig, weil in einer schmalen Sackgasse. Der Blick aus den Fenstern ist atemberaubend und tatsächlich so, wie auf den Fotos zu sehen, mitten auf den Sasso Barisano. Wir waren zwar nur 2 Nächte zu viert in der FeWo, hatten aber eine super Zeit in Matera und würden jederzeit wieder kommen. Grazie mille, Angela!

A perfect house and host in a stunning location within a marvelous city

The house is beautiful with that distinctive curved stone roof and exceeded our expectations because the view from it overlooking the stunning Sasso Barisano, was everything we could have hoped for. Its location was a few yards from the Duomo and perfect for sightseeing. Angela was a wonderful host. She advised us on how to get to the secure private parking garage and crucially met us there. We felt reassured by it security and she was relaxed, friendly and super helpful from the very beginning. We walked from there with our bags to the property (about 5-10 minutes) and once there she spent as much time as we needed showing us around the house, all the appliances, the system for putting bins out etc. She was very helpful. She provided maps of Matera and marked out worthy places to visit and we are so glad she did. You need several days at the very least to fully take in these sites and especially the atmosphere of this fascinating city. Angela is on hand when you need her via WhatsApp which is very much appreciated. The location of the property, its beauty and her kindness and generosity set her and her property apart from the vast majority of others. We only stayed there a week and already looking forward to returning to Matera in the future. Having travelled to many parts of Italy it is at the top of our list.

Amazing views, great location and a home away from home (maybe better!)

Angela was very attentive to our needs. It was raining and she brought us to the property in her car with our luggage and toddler. It was very well appreciated and you immediately feel so welcomed at her accommodation. The flat itself is so central situated right in between the two sassi's and the view is absolutely gorgeous from the windows. Especially as the sun sets and the sassi starts lighting up. It was a highlight of our Italian trip. We will definitely come back to Matera and stay here again.

Authentic stay in magical Matera

Beautiful homely accommodation with magnificent views of Sassi from windows. We received a warm welcome from Girolamo who gave us lots of information & tips for where to dine and what to see.

This location is strategic for a visit of Matera

The hosts attended me ad hoc at the time I was ready to. They prepared everything with the best attention and much more than I expected. The location is strategic for visiting the Sassi di Matera because it is in Matera Piano, just above Sasso Barisano and close to Sasso Caveoso. A little walk and you can rwach any part of Matera. From the windows of the house you'll have a wide and fantastic view of Sasso Barisano. If you want to cook everything is ready in the house. If you do not want to cook instead, restaurants are close to the house or a supermarket with already prepared food (pasta, meat, vegetables) and you can bring hot at the house to eat them in a relaxed way.. Before traviling there as well the host replied to any of my requests to help me planning my trip as best as possible. As it was a sunny period air conditioning was very usefull.
