Perfect short holiday in Matera

The location is exceptional on the edge of the Sassi. The appartment itself is a jewel - beautiful modern design. Total comfort as if you were living in your own home. The hosts suggested a great restaurant "Baccus" which turned out to be one of the best on our holiday

Breakfast could have been a little better but was still good. With the coffee machine we could easily make our own without depending on anyone else.

Fabulous stay, not long enough!

Benedetta and Eustachio were terrific, helpful hosts. Beautifully renovated historic apartment, super clean, fabulous location

Parking is a real issue and we accidentally drove into restricted area looking for accommodation! Cameras take picture so beware of this. Hosts Benedetta and Eustachio were extremely helpful however in assisting us get a park and transfer our luggage 😊

Zentrale Lage in Matera, überragende Ausstattung, sehr gute Preis-Leistungsverhältnis … wir kommen wieder 😊

Ein außen unscheinbares Haus, dass sich in der Altstadt von Matera befindet. Sobald die Tür zu der Wohnung aufgeht, stellt sich ein unglaublicher „Wow, ist das schön - Effekt“ ein! Grandios gestaltet, liebevoll eingerichtet, picobello sauber, großzügig … die Aussicht über den Canyon an der Rückseite des Gebäudes ist einfach schön. Ich kann kaum aufhören, zu schwärmen 😃 Dazu die netten Gastgeber, denen der Stolz über ihre Wohnung in den Augen anzusehen ist und die so viel über Matera und die Geschichte zu berichten wissen. Ein tolles Frühstück wurde uns bereitgelegt mit belegten Brötchen, Croissants, Obstkorb 👍🏼 Schade nur, dass wir nur eine Nacht geblieben sind, aber aus Fehlern lernt man, wir kommen wieder … und dann wissen wir, wo wir in Matera übernachten 😉 Von uns eine klare Empfehlung, ohne wenn und aber 👍🏼

Magical Memory

I could write a book on how good this property is! Perfectly located it is finished to the highest quality in terms of decor furnishings and design! NOTHING is not thought of and every detail has been manufactured without any constraints! Add to this the incredible warm welcome by Eustachio and his charming wife, their will to make you feel at home and provide anything that would make your stay even more memorable and special, and your stay in Matera REALLY IS MAGICAL! It is extremely good value for money and a MASSIVE plus unlike some/many accommodations in Matera is very easily accessed being right on the no traffic boundary. Everything you would want to see or do is within walking distance, and many great eateries within a 15 minute stroll! Anyone not staying here is really missing out!

Die Unterkunft ist Traumhaft man sieht die liebe zum Detail in jedem einzelen Raum. Sehr modern und dennoch traditionel. Die Lage der Unterkunft ist auch Perfekt. Die Küche ist auch gut ausgestattet. Sie haben uns auch mit dem Parking geholfen und dem Gepäck.

Ich habe nichts auszusetzen.

The perfect accommodation for the magical city of Matera.

Everything! A beautifully restored property. It is absolutely immaculate with everything having been done to a very high standard. The hosts could not be more helpful. They saved us a free parking space, helped with our luggage, booked restaurants for us and even helped find a doctor when my son was ill. They also left boxes of delicious pastries and sandwiches for us in the apartment. It is only a five minute walk into the Sassi and everything this beautiful town has to offer.

There is nothing to dislike!

Wish we could have stayed longer!

Benedetta and Eustachio were excellent hosts, nothing was a problem and they were generous to a fault. The house is impeccably appointed, comfortable beds, great bathrooms and breakfast and very well-located in this amazing city. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay here for longer! We will be back, highly recommend.

Impeccable design accompanied by generous hospitality.

OMG!!!! We didn’t want to leave. Everything was perfect. The modern design, technology, kitchen utilities, and ambiance were stupendous. I wouldn’t change anything. I’ll be back for sure… and often. Perfect location. Eustachio and Benedetta greeted and cared for us like we were family. (He even parallel parked our large rental SUV in a small spot.) They could teach hospitality to the best 5 star luxury hoteliers. It comes natural to them.

Sadly, we had to leave. But we’ll be back.

Semplicemente fantastico

Una struttura nuovissima, vista spettacolare, curata nei minimi dettagli, alle porte della città vecchia, quindi una posizione strategica per visitare i sassi, dotata di tutti i comfort. Beautiful property in one of the best locations in Matera!

The property was very clean and modern. Great decor. Gracious, caring hosts. The location couldn’t be better. Go right of the apartment and you are in the direction of the new town and to the left, the historical center. Great open view from the rear.

Our stay at Lamia Matera 11 was fantastic!

Everything about this apartment was wonderful. To begin with, our hosts Benedetta and Eustachio bent over backwards to make our stay comfortable. Great location. Stunning apartment in a magical town.

There was absolutely nothing we didn't like. Wished we could have stayed longer.

Beautiful, best place to stay at

This is a beautiful 'holiday' home - very classily done by the lovely owners - who are kind, helpful and professionsl. They've made a stunning home - very modern, great lighting, all mod cons, gorgeous bedrooms - the main one has the most amazing view and a stunning beautiful bathroom. The bed linen + towels are high quality, all furnishings are superb. Lovely personal touch such as some free drinks in the fridge + fruit. They kindly gave great recommendations to us for restaurants/cafes. Without hesitation we would go back here + would recommend it to anyone. The best place we stayed at out of 11 different b+b's/homes on our 2-week trip in Puglia/Matera as a family of 5. 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms.

Absolutely Stunning Upscale Apartment in the Magical Town of Matera - with GREAT HOSTS!

Lamia Matera 11 was perhaps the most beautifully decorated and stylish vacation apartment we have ever rented. It was absolutely immaculate. Beds comfortable. Wonderful shower. JUST LOVELY! The views of the caves from the unit are magical. The apartment is in a perfect location for touring the beautiful town of Matera. The hosts brought in a lovely assortment of breakfast foods- pastries, pie, breads, coffee, milk, juices & fresh fruit. Lovely luncheon sandwiches awaited us upon arrival. The refrigerator was well-stocked with water and soft drinks. The hosts are the nicest people - so kind and helpful. I can't say enough about Lamia Matera 11. It's simply stunning!

Superb

The location, view and apartment are all amazing. Would highly recommend for two couples +/- young children. The hosts were so friendly and helpful.

The only thing that was difficult for us, as a group of 4 single friends was access to bathrooms. Both bathrooms are ensuites to bedrooms so two people needed to walk through a bedroom to access. Would highly recommend for two couples +/- young children

Great people, great location, great food nearby, great appartment. Had a great time.

Located on the edge of the scenic old area, this 3 bedroom appartment is an easy walk to anything you want to see in Matera. It's located over 3 levels, consistent with its history as an original house, but has been brought up to date just beautifully. We were able to park nearby and for free, both of which are very rare in the old town.

The stairs between levels were "challenging" for the 88 year old member of our group since there was no handrail. But they were no issue for the 50 and 60-somethings among us.
