Over 1000 SF! Sunny and bright two bedrooms, large bathroom, full kitchen, large living room, creekside condo just blocks from downtown Salem. Wonderful view of historic Mill Creek and large balcony overlooking the creek. Reserved parking . Three blocks from Salem Center Mall, five blocks from State Capital and six from Willamette University. This is in an apartment building, it is on the first floor so you will have a neighbor above and to the side of you. You will hear other people which is part of life when sharing walls. If that is not something you want please look for a home that would better suit you. Thanks for understanding!
With the creek view, you feel like you are camping but with the convenience of being in the City Center.
This is a mid century modern building that was built in the 1964, it is VERY well maintained and well built with unique stone aggregate siding. It is not a new building but it is well built with large units and an amazing location right on the creek. All units have been updated, but please be aware of the age of the building as some people have commented it was older. It has a lot of character that you do not get in a modern building.
You are in the downtown area and though it is very safe (the new police station is being built only 4 blocks away), this is a metro area and there are two homeless support facilities in the downtown area so you will see the people they support. We have never had any issues or any of our guests, but it is a part of life in many cities and you should be aware of it, if this will be a concern for you we recommend you look for a property outside of the downtown area.
We have a SMART Roku TV and high speed internet. The TV has apps on it for all popular streaming services that you can use your account with (Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, You Tube Premium) as well as many free apps for different types of TV. We try to keep costs down by cutting cable so normal broadcast TV is not available.
During the summer the unit has an AC installed. We take it out for fall and winter but there are box fans if you get too warm (unlikely in OR as it is usually VERY mild). The AC is in the main bedroom and it will cool the unit, please use the box fans to move the air through the unit. Most guests find this is sufficient, however if you require it to be constantly under 72 degrees we recommend looking for another property with central AC.
You are 6 blocks (10 minutes) from the state capital and if you go up 1 block (east) to Historic Cottage street you will walk buy many historic homes and then into the Capital gardens which is my favorite way to approach the capital building. You are 5-6 blocks from Macys and Salem Center mall which is the northers end of the old downtown with lots of shops and restaurants. You can also walk a bit further west and go to the park and carousel along the Willammette River, take the pedestrian bridge over to Minto Island park or a favorite of mine is to take the old railroad trestle (NOW a pedestrian walkway) over the river to the park on the other side which is a short walk to a great Grocery store (Roths Fresh Market) with a awesome Deli and salad bar and KILLER local wine selection. Also in that shopping center is a starbucks so it makes for a nice walk!

Clean property, easy check in and out, Central location.

The place was convenient location, and well stocked...perfect for a small family...just what we needed for our short stay...

Take a second look. When we first arrived at this property, we felt concerned. The building is old, it is near a medical office for indigent patients and the first thing we heard was the train. Fortunately, when we settled in none of that mattered. The condo itself was quiet. Sitting on the back porch was delightful, listening to the creek and enjoying a drink. The location was ideal for walking to a highly rated Mexican restaurant, a wonderful coffee house and the farmer's market. The boys enjoyed the evening at an axe throwing business around the corner. The condo itself was clean, but definitely older. The experience was overall good.

The property location is less than desirable but the unit itself was very nice. A lot of homeless people frequent the area. It was pet friendly but there was not very many close areas for pets to go. Overall we enjoyed the stay.

This was our second stay with the owner. No issues at all. Generally walking distance to downtown and most amenities. Will certainly stay again if we’re in town.

Loved the creek side location. My mom kept her window open all night to listen to the water, and we enjoyed tea on the balcony in the morning.
We had an issue with the condo when we checked in, but the landlord was very responsive and addressed the problem quickly.

My friend and I stayed at this cute and clean condo for 4 nights and found it to be well appointed, clean and with a wonderful view of the creek from the balcony. It was so nice to have the sound of water at any time. The beds were very comfortable. Amanda was detailed in her instructions and the property is wonderful and easy to get to. Would definitely stay again.

The unit is nicely appointed. Rooms are of good size. It looks recently updated with new flooring, appliances, plumbing fixtures. The balcony overlooks the creek in back. Nice place to sit and have morning coffee or an evening cocktail.
Location is right on edge of downtown central to everything. We were in town for our grandson's wedding and this place worked super.

Downtown Salem
Clean, quiet, well stocked. Located with a running creek behind unit with shady balcony. It is on the edge of the downtown with shady residential neighborhood for walking to the downtown restaurants.

The Mill creek is right under the window, lovely sights and sounds. The condo is very clean.

It was clean and the beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was stocked with whatever you need to cook with. The only thing that was not up to what was expected was the TV had blown speakers which made it impossible to listen to, there was no local stations to watch, very disappointed in that. I had to watch my computer to watch TV.

The communication from the host is stellar. You are given a lot of information pre-trip so there are no surprises and very few questions when you arrive. The descriptions are honest and thorough.
The balcony literally sits above a creek, which is so relaxing. And this time of year, the creek is running so the sound was a great bonus.
The parking space is about 10 feet from the door so loading and unloading bags was easy. The location has the same concerns that come with being close to the downtown of any decent sized city, but not once did we feel unsafe. And it is 7 blocks from the college my kid attends so the convenience made the location a plus for us.
It's clean, comfortable, convenient, and well priced. We would definitely stay there again.

This property was very clean. Parking was convenient. Check in/out was very easy. The wifi connection was easy and reliable. We used the kitchen to cook breakfast, and all of the appropriate cookware and utensils were provided. It is a nice open floor plan with everything provided for a comfortable stay (extra towels, pillows and blankets are appreciated). We will be traveling to more of our son's Willamette football games and hope to stay here again. Love the creek out back!

This condo has been nicely renovated with tasteful decorating and well furnished. It was great to have some kitchen supplies available (EVOO, creamer, some spices). Excellent location for access to central Salem as well as highways to surrounding areas. The private deck overlooking the creek was a huge treat for us during our stay. Nearby human services for homeless did not affect our stay.

The back deck was worth the whole visit. It was next to Mill Creek, a lazy little creek that travels through Salem, so was a great place to have morning coffee, listen to the creek, watch the hummingbirds and enjoy the quiet. The Master bedroom bed was so comfortable. Communication with the property owners was perfect.

Handy and clean condo located very near downtown Salem.
The condo worked great for our family of 4 while we were settling our daughter into Willamette University and attending Move in Days. A 5 minute drive got us to campus, even less to town. It's even within walking distance from McMenamins Boon's Treasury which we dined at more than once!
Condo is clean and decorated very nice. The reserved parking spot is right out side and very handy! Love listening to the stream outside.
