Half of the lights in the kitchen did not work/come on, and some of the lights in the living room did not come on either. This made the kitchen pretty dark at night and it was difficult to see while cooking.
There's a lack of adequate cooking materials such as pans/sheets, but enough to get by. The water filter in the fridge needed replacing.
ALL of the smoke detectors have been ripped out. This one puzzled me. The thermostat in the living room was also missing. If the home isn't prepared to rent, you shouldn't be renting it.
ALL of the doors were unlocked upon arrival, along with most of the windows. This is an obvious safety concern. The grill was nice but the on-board igniter did not function.
There were a decent amount of moths inside the house and the downstairs carpet did not appear clean. The downstairs beds were also uncomfortable. There was also a few trash bags left behind on the exterior of the house, as if they hadn't been picked up from the last stay.
An upstairs door did not close completely. The bathroom door on the main level was difficult to open from the inside of the bathroom, leaving you locked inside, unless you pulled down on the handle forcefully to free it. A lack of blinds on any of the windows or doors erodes any sense of privacy; luckily the house is in a secluded location.
I did like the location and how private it is. OK for a short stay but needs serious work. Can't comment on communication with the host as I did not reach out.

Quiet but the boats in the background. Relaxing was easy.

We had a great time staying in this home. It was spacious with lots of natural light from floor to ceiling windows. It was very quiet. The driveway is a little steep but not a problem at all. 20-30 minutes from town. Thank you!

The home is beautiful but needs a little tlc. There was an issue the first day we were supposed to check in, the house was not cleaned before our arrival so we had to leave but they corrected it and got us back in there. The beds could be a little better. The home just needs a really deep cleaning especially the carpets. Other than that the home is beautiful and being hidden is nice.

We arrived at this property after a week of driving (we moved from ME to WA), exhausted and ready to relax. Initially, things seemed ok. We were able to easily access the property, the interior was clean (there was some trash around the grounds outside). Then we noticed that the stove didn’t light and the oven door was actually partly hanging off. Additionally, house was very cold but we thought that was just because heat was turned off. We turned heat on. It didn’t seem to be working, but the instructions mentioned it was slow to heat up. We called the property manager only to get a voicemail saying he wasn’t in the office that day. We finally went to bed with the house still ice box cold and only able to find one space heater, even though there was supposed to one in each closet. Upon waking, temperature still hadn’t improved. We called Vacasa again and managed to get in touch with Sean the local property manager. He had us check the propane, which turned out to be empty (hence no heat). He said an emergency fill could be scheduled for Tuesday, which would leave us with an additional four nights without heat. We asked for a refund for those nights, saying we would move to a hotel temporarily—they said no. In all fairness, Vacasa did offer to move us to another property at no extra charge. However, they were all 1.5-2 hours away from my spouse’s new job. After some arguing, we did get Vacasa to fully refund our stay; but they never should have rented this property to start.

When we got to the property only the front door was locked. The patio door downstairs was unlocked. The patio door on the upstairs deck was unlocked. All the windows at ground level were unlocked. Wired smoke detectors were missing and the wiring was exposed. The heat was not working (inside it was registering at 53 degrees), and there was no hot water. The futon in the upstairs loft was broken. The stoves door was bent and did not close properly. Because there was no heat and no hot water we did not stay at the property.

Great surroundings. The windows and the deck, all surrounded by trees are a real treat! Good kitchen, nice living room. Great bedroom and bathroom upstairs. The two rooms downstairs are adequate, but the carpet is severely stained and there is a strong smell. The bathroom is small with no place to hang things. That is the reason behind a four stars instead of a five start review. The house has everything that is needed. Great fridge, microwave and stove/oven. Even several smaller appliances -which we didn't use.. but nice to have the option. Missing a cutting board (unless we didn't see it), and several plates and mugs are chipped. The location is great, the lake park is really just a mile away. For everything else is a 20-25 minutes drive. Bring bug-spray for the evenings on the deck -- with it, the deck is an absolute winner!

Beautiful design that let's in tons of light and offers peaceful forest views. Nice kitchen with updated appliances. Recently power-washed deck was a nice spot to gather outdoors. Don't know if the TV, movie projector or wifi ever worked as it sure did not work for us. Note that bedrooms downstairs will need to be deep sleepers to ignore the noise from mechanical room across the hall.

There was no wifi & some things were out of place. Lots of spiders in the sheets & walls. They clean, but not real good.
3.0
Wifi note:
-The wifi network did NOT exist. Attempted multiple fixes.
There is no way to contact host.
Notes on the kitchen:
-We stayed a total of 4 nights. I brought two dishwasher tablets from my home. It would be nice for the rental people to allot a tablet for EACH DAY a family rents. ESPECIALLY if you expect for us to start the dishwasher when we leave to help out.
-Freezer was leaking water onto floor upon arrival. Ice has built up on bottom of freezer. Fridge needs maintenance to unclog drain hoses so that defrost works properly. (This appears to have been an issue.)
-Kitchen faucet has a mind of its own with temperature control. Sometimes the cold and hot will be at their correct locations. Sometimes they are reversed. There is no telling what it will be like any given use.
-There is no kettle to heat up water on the stove or an electric plug in kettle. There are not many mugs.
-There are not enough kitchen towels (there were three) & having to mop up the kitchen floor shortly after getting here due to the freezer meant we needed to do laundry. Also added laundry from the hamper that has not been done by the cleaner.
-Ample kitchen pantry cupboard space. The kitchen layout is fantastic.
-A nice touch to have two ovens. Really like the smaller top oven very useful. Bottom oven has a very propane rich smell.
Notes on cleanliness:
-The carpets are absolutely disgusting and stained. They need deep cleaning.
-Furniture does not look or feel clean (tons of crumbs in sofa).
-Dishes & sheets were fine.
-We broke no dishes, but there is broken glass under the living room sofa. Not cleaned up from previous occupants or cleaner.
-The garbage was absolutely overflowing in the two cans under the deck by the entrance stairs. The recycling bin at the road had a previous occupants trash (with magots so we didn’t clean that up).
On safety & privacy:
-There was a significant blackberry bramble that was growing across the bottom of the stairs. Scratch central. My husband broke it off for us after we got scratched a few times.
-Deck boards still have rot in some places but some have been replaced in key areas. There is a tripping hazard coming to the main front door up the stairs.
-The lower railing to go up to the master floor is loose.
-The master bed frame is still very noisy and creaky.
-No curtains on the French doors in the two bedrooms on the ground floor. My teenagers don’t feel excessively safe sleeping there.
-Master bathroom sink does not drain well (& this looks like this has been an issue). Master bathroom only has one towel rod which falls off the wall; the rod was bent. There were no hooks to hang any towels. There were no hand towel loops.
-Basement bathroom towel rod was missing.
-Water booster pump in mechanical room seems quite loud and cycles nearly continuously.
-Appreciated the multiple box fans. We were here during 90° heat. Curtains would be a nice help to reduce heat inside. No AC.
This place is pretty and totally adequate. The timber framing in the house is beautiful to look at. The woods surrounding are beautiful. The seclusion is nice. The master shower is useful for showering small kids and not having to shower yourself; neat to have four shower heads.
Overall, there are many small and easy fixes of things that could be done better here to make this a top notch place to stay.

This is a great family getaway house. Nice master suite upstairs, two bedrooms downstairs, 2.5 bathrooms, well equipped kitchen, nice tv and fair internet. This was our second stay and it seems that the house needs some TLC. All of the smoke alarms have been removed from the walls and ceilings (as they were in February), one of the wooden deck post footings is settling and causing a sag in the deck, the carpet had dirty spots that were easily cleaned with some general cleaner and elbow grease, there are discarded items laying on the ground by the car port, etc. Those things didn't really detract from our stay but reflect the attention and upkeep the property is getting. We might stay there again or look for other nearby alternatives.

We loved this house! We will be back. It was exactly what our family needed. Lots of woods and windows to look at those woods. The wood stove, the kitchen, the bedrooms, everything was wonderful. And of course that upstairs shower is outstanding.
This was the perfect place to spend my 69th birthday. Thank you!
PS The driveway is not nearly as intimidating as I had anticipated. We made it easily in an AWD.

I honestly enjoyed the stay it was really good to get out of the city. Loved the long secluded drive way & did not have to worry about the kids and dog running into any vehicles. They enjoyed just running up and down the hill playing with the fall leaves. The house itself made us feel like we were in nature especially in the master bathroom with the shower, the window looking out from the shower made us feel like we were outside. There was a wind storm that made a tree fall & we lost all power but thank goodness we were getting ready to check out. We would definitely book again if and when it’s the snowy season.

This was a great visit, housed all 7 of us, great views. The master bedroom shower is most excellent.

Beautiful timber frame home with rotting deck. We didn’t feel safe with more than one person on the deck, and that only to BBQ. No privacy in master if you actually take the seven people this home says it can house. The futon bed is right outside the master door and can hear every creak of the master bed. Secluded location. Driveway has a lot of blackberry overgrowth that will scratch any vehicle accessing the driveway. Be sure to take your own dishwasher tabs and matches. Only two tabs for our five nights with seven of us provided and no lighter/matches for the grill ( it has a battery operated igniter but battery was dead and no spare batteries.) Lots of cob webs but otherwise clean.

Wonderful place tucked in the woods. Quick access to lake and store.

Just okay
Photos made it look much larger than it was. Deck was a little scary as it is rotting. Furnishings are old and stains on carpets. Beds were comfy. Not a 4 or 5 star but okay for what we needed. Almost nothing was required of us as far as clean up. They even suggested that we not remove the sheets from the beds.

Wonderful
We had an amazing time at your rental. The kitchen had everything we needed and the home was beautiful. We were a little worried about the driveway, but it was not bad at all, just steep. We would definitely love to come back again!

Amazing little property tucked up in the woods away from it all. Highly recommend.

Cabin in the woods
It was a nice cabin, but once we got in we noticed none of the downstairs doors locked and the door going out to the deck didnt lock either. The countertops and stove were not cleaned and we found ants coming out of a electrical plug also in the kitchen.

Private oasis in the trees
We had a great stay in this beautiful house in the woods. It was plenty roomy and well appointed for our group of 5 to have a crafting and game playing retreat weekend. It's SO private and surrounded by trees. We were imagining coming back in the summer where we could use the deck and the BBQ, too! It's a drive to get there, but we also found a very friendly little store a block away so no need to drive back to town for the item or two we forgot to pack. All in all, very enjoyable.

Nice place for a quick family get away
This is a nice little cabin and good for a family get away. Was a bit disappointed when the reviews said the key lock box can be a bit of challenge to find and they would not allow to check in a little earlier before dark set in. First views of place were nice. But for colder months a few notes they leave the place cold and took awhile to get the place to warm up. They have a wood burning stove so bring a lighter and wood with you. We stayed cold most of first night but felt comfortable once we got the fire going. There are also no curtains or shutters in the whole place. The deck is a place that needs improved it is very slick when wet and is developing large divots in the wood. The main stairs were really slippery and har a number of the slip stopping strips missing or very beaten up. Kitchen was great for our Thanksgiving great stove and lots of items to help with prep. Have a cool spice carousel but most of the good spices are empty. Big shower upstairs was really nice. Would stay again.

Great experience, beautiful scenery. That upstairs shower was a dream.

Private with beautiful surroundings
This house was great for our family and so much more than we were expecting. The WIFI is fast and supported the kids doing school and myself working simultaneously. The master shower is heavenly with its 4 shower heads, river rocks and beautiful view of the trees. The long driveway was great for taking a short walk through the woods. Out the driveway and to the right is a small grocery store. Our only complaint was the very slow communication with management company. Fyi, the key pad on the door was not the way in during our stay. The actual lock box is next to the meter to the left of the front door. It took us awhile to find it.

Quiet and private getaway
Stayed here in August. Weather was nice, close to the lake and other local experiences were within 30 - 60 min drives. Property is a three level, cabin style property. The master bath shower is amazing. Locks on the doors are a little tricky. Definitely need a suitable car that can get up the gravel driveway, mine is a small SUV (worked well). No low rider cars would make it. My teens and I really enjoyed this property. It was perfect for family time. Thank you!

Great getaway
We enjoyed this home, hidden in trees and brambles. They had a great gas grill, incredible shower with four facets, and comfortable beds. They are located a short drive to Lake Rosiger, which had a nice little beach for kids. We took our canoe and had easy access to the water. There were a few recommendations we'd make for the hosts: there was a projector, but it didn't work. There was a TV with a great selection of movies on their google account, but Roku was locked, which meant we couldn't even access youtube. The kitchen only had one dish towel and no pot holder. There were multiple salt and pepper containers, but all were empty. Overall, we'd recommend this home.

Great Getaway Spot!
Lovely place; just what we were looking for! Appreciate the additional comments about the driveway as the AWD was a necessity. We had a little leak from the fridge, but I contacted the manager and they were prompt to response. I would highly recommend staying here and look forward to visiting again!

Great property! (No human communication)
This property was *wonderful* in every way having to do with the lodging & accomodations. A couple days prior to check out, I messaged the mgr via my VRBO reservation to ask if there were check out instructions but I got no answer back. In the end we took our best guess to tidy up on our way out, but worried that had there been a problem we might not have been able to get communication. The kitchen is well outfitted. Fixtures and appliances are high quality & in good working order. The wooded setting & lovely deck are perfect for a quarantine getaway. Under sold in the listing is the AMAZING master bathroom shower. Also there is a fantastic Roku TV added to the living room since pics were taken. (I'll leave a couple more notes in messaging for the lister.) You should stay here. Just book it.

Private with Trees
Great privacy, great nature! Went over 4th of July weekend to avoid Tacoma neighborhood fireworks and I was happy at the muted sounds and rule following folks in the area. A peaceful getaway for sure.

Fun getaway
Great, very private spot for the family to getaway for a few days. New TV with Roku if you want to watch TV. The downstairs stayed very cool on the warm days. Plenty of windows to enjoy the breeze and cool off at night. The little market near the base of the driveway is run by a nice family. Definitely need 4WD to get up and down the driveway. We will be back!

Perfect Family Getaway
This house gut our family of 4 just right for a 3 night stay.

I would say - so so!
This house is beautifully made and located in the middle of dense tree cover which makes it exquisite. You definitely need a AWD to drive up the steep driveway leading to the cabin.
The good
The house itself has great construction and fittings are somewhat modern especially in the master bathroom. The twin showers in the master bath are fun and have a large window overlooking the trees. The patio overlooks dense tree cover and is lovely for sitting out and sipping coffee. The game room couch overlooks the driveway and has a good view to sit and relax.
The bad
The house could have definitely been cleaner. While the linen, utensils and towels seemed fresh and clean, the furniture and the house itself needed cleaning. The freezer/fridge was unclean and there were cobwebs inside the house as well on the patio. The furniture in the living/gaming room was old, worn-out, not well maintained and dusty. Honestly I dint feel comfortable using it.
The house definitely needed a lot of maintenance. The hot water in the fun twin shower bathroom lasts only for a few minutes. The basin in master bedroom's bath was not draining water and would fill up every time I washed my face or brushed my teeth. There is no hair dryer, so carry your own.

talk about privacy! we came during winter months, so the snow created a wintery charm that made you feel you were in a super remote location. I bet the lake is beautiful during hot summer months. small local minimart has some essentials and helpful staff. don't disregard all the statements regarding 4x4 needed for driveway access-- she's a doozy!
