Road was completely unpassable and had been for a couple days according to the man who got us unstuck. Property was of no help and refused to even refund my cleaning fee at the very minimum. If your booking is through vacassa I recommend u find something diffrent!. I will never book anything they run again and I will make sure everyone knows not to deal with these crooks. BTW it was not stated 4 wheel drive was needed but it wouldn't have mattered cause the people who live there couldn't even get by.

it was peaceful. we loved the river and the cabin it’s self was very nice.
the ac didn’t work, we had to leave early because it got so hot in the cabin. no wifi our cellphones didn’t have signal either. it didn’t bother me that I was asked to clean up before we checked out I just didn’t understand why I needed to pay a cleaning service fee if I was the one doing most of the cleaning.

Punch key
The washer dryer was broke. That made us feel the sheets were dirty (felt sandy).
Also, the neighbor was doing work outside at midnight it was horrible. The neighbor was just below the entrance in. If we weren't so exhausted we'd have confronted him. He was walking around in his 'wifebeater' shirt in 50 degrees weather.
This property is very rural so it made us uncomfortable. We won't be back.

The location is very private and getting there was a bit of a challenge as the roads are not clearly marked but the locals are friendly and you definitely need a vehicle that can handle back roads, gravel and narrow this was part of the appeal for us as we were looking to get away from it all and this property sits right on a river.
Upon first entering the glimpse of the all wood interior was stunning with vaulted ceilings two story and the upstairs bathroom is envious.
The downstairs has two bedrooms and a bathroom. Looking out on the back porch which is quite long with rocking chairs and a table my family played backgammon well I painted. Everybody was having such a good time we booked an extra night we were in no hurry to leave sometimes you don't realize how much of a break you need until you take it. Property manager was friendly and eager to assure our comfort.
The television to play movies did not work there is no cable which was fine but it seemed the unit was disconnected so we could see there was satellite option.

I loved the the design of the cabin! I liked the friendliness of the neighbor.
There were nasty dishes in the cabinets. My son didn't have a bed because the mattress on the sofa bed was NASTY! Incorrect directions! No internet! Very remote location; cell phones didn't work!

The property and house are both beautiful and relaxing. Somewhat private and near town.
The property is not far from Sylva. The last mile is not paved and very rough driving. Not for small or low profile cars. There are neighbors on both sides. One has dogs. We love dogs so it wasn’t a problem at first. But the one puppy kept coming in the house and stealing our shoes and chasing our kids.
The other neighbor was off the hook. Our son was walking the river fishing. His line got snagged and he jumped on an exposed rock. The neighbor came out yelling and cussing. Our son quickly jumped into the river. He was never on any land. But not a couple minutes later the neighbor started shooting his gun. We had two small children with us. We are use to guns. But not knowing where he was aiming and having two small children with us.... THIS WAS HIGHLY UNACCEPTABLE!!!!
So.... I do not think we will be back.
This was not as peaceful as we had wanted.

The cabin was very pretty and clean. Plenty of towels and washcloths. Nice having washer and dryer. The view was nice.
To get to the cabin was kind of scary with the narrow road. There was not enough toilet paper and there was not paper towels on arrival. The cookware was not clean and the Teflon was coming off the pots. The cookware needs to be replaced. The comforter in the guess bedroom did not fell clean. Sheets were fine. Needed more dishtowels and scrubber pads. The travel in and out would make you think twice really not want to venture out to much. The roads were so rough to drive on.
4.5
Queen bed was very comfortable. Plenty of room. Loved being next to the river.
King bed was very hard. No chopped firewood for firepit. Not enough trash bags. No coffee.
