The place was filthy. Plumbing was bad TVs didn’t work. We had to change the beds when we got there and sweep out previous guess mess of dog hair and food etc. on floor and sinks fridge raider oven microwave coffee pot was disgusting. Bathrooms were dirty, dirty towels and shower. I will personally never rent this place again definitely a one star.

I loved the spaces for each of our family members. However the three cabins, which have a lot of potential for being wonderful, are in need of a lot of repairs and work. And the updating that has been done does not look like a professional did the work. They did seem pretty clean when we arrived, although we found some things that didn’t belong to us in a couple places. Overall, the location is great and the spaces, though small, work well for a big family gathering. I wish I could see these places truly updated and to their full potential!!

The location was great, within walking distance to the beach. Upon entering the home, it smelled old, dusty, and the overall quality of things was old. The stove didn’t warm up well, one of the comforters had blood stains. Overall, very high price for poor quality. Would not rent again.

The Dolphin cabins are clustered so nicely together, our families were able to access each others facilities at will. It was great to truly feel like one big family as we gathered to celebrate our brother's life.

Beds good in 3 not so comfortable in 1. It was clean and had most things for cooking with the 3 houses together. Deffinatley a beach house that is close to beach. Older home could use a little paint and fixing up on outside. Overall good place to stay for the money you pay

Cockroaches and black mold
Do not stay here. Spend a little bit more money and stay in a place without an infestation. We must have killed 10 cockroaches during our stay.

So Decrepit it was Laughable
Beds were broken, oven was broken (wouldn't work, plus the glass door literally shattered when we tried to heat the oven) several doorknobs kept falling off, and twice were people locked in the bathroom and couldn't get out. We had to call maintenance and have a bathroom door broken open to get our six-year-old out when the doorknob fell off when he was inside. Add to this a general pervasive musty smell the entire stay. We all laughed pretty hard at these things, but they certainly didn't add to our comfort.

Desperately needs updating
Great location, run down home and furniture. Propane tank=s for the grill were empty. Mold in the bathroom. Drafty.

Loved this place! It was perfect for our extended family. I appreciated a quick response from Vacasa when I called about an issue.

You get what you pay for. I rented all 3 units, great price for a large family gathering. The units are old, some maintenance issues and yard was unkept and full of dog piles The inside was clean, did smell musty, but I was able to air out. Location was great, close to beach and town. Slept 20, grandkids loved the bunk rooms. Would stay again because of size and location, but would recommend fixing leaky kitchen sink, tiles on steps, replace torn couch in #1 and clean up the yard.

Close to beach
The location was great, easy access to beach and town. I rented all 3 units, was given the wrong code to #2 so some hassle getting that resolved. Leaky sink in #1 kitchen. Not enough extra blankets for use on futons and couch. The yard was filled (at least 8) piles of dog mess. Some fresh, some had been there a while. My grandsons picked it all up!! The cleaning lady was there and was helpful. T?he inside was clean, needed to open windows to air out musty smell. Overall, you get what you pay for, good location and slept 20 of my family for a fun reunion.

It's ok
I like how close to the beach.. walking distance to beach and market. All units are old need some update. Furniture need some update. Bathroom too small for people who are tall. No AC and no dishwasher on 2 other units. Bbq grill is dirty and rusty. Checking in is 4pm but the lady is still cleaning until 4:30 and we told them not to mop the floor anymore since family want to get some rest already. We had fun at our stay but just need some update.

Spring time stay
It was a great experience. The 3 apartments together fit my whole family, siblings , kids and all, perfectly. The downstairs main appartment was great for gathering in to cook and eat meals. We would Definately recomend this to large parties.

Family reunion
Over all a descent place to stay near the ocean. We were a group of 13 from 6 states. A few issues were Poor internet connection, pet odor in D-2, a chair in D-3 has a loose leg.

It was centrally located for what we needed plus was so close to the beach.
Nice place but did find a leak under the kitchen sink and some rodent activity. For the large group we had for all three of the houses would have liked more bath towels or access to more.

Great beach house for large groups
I booked this rental (Dolphin 1, 2, and 3) for a group of 12 (both couples and families). We had a great time. Having access to all three units worked great as each unit allowed individuals or couples to have plenty of access to common spaces as well as privacy if they wished. There was plenty of space for everyone to relax and do everything they wished to. A brief rundown of each unit:
Dolphin 1: (though it's attached to the other units) it felt like a small house with a decent kitchen, a living room and dining room, a "parents" room and a "kids" room.
Dolphin 2: This unit felt like a tiny loft apartment. It has a "parents" room as well as a "kids" room including a little kitchen area and a living space. This unit was my favorite and had a cute, cozy feel to it. If I were coming to Rockaway Beach again just as a couple, I would highly consider booking this unit specifically.
Dolphin 3: This unit had two queen sized bedrooms but the space was a lot more "stretched out". It was great but not as cozy and cute as the other two units.
Definitely consider this unit if you are looking for a large group. Each individual unit is worth considering if you are either a small group, a small family, or a couple.
