Nice stay in Casa de Los Camellos during Carneval

Casa de Los Camellos is a fantastic little hotel directly in the center of Agüimes. The staff is very friendly. Sparkling clean, beds in good quality.

The key lock code to my room, was out of order.

extremely remote location, hardly any public transport.

key code was missing. So, had to accept that the door was not locked by me.

Disappointing

Friendly staff, clean, well located. Nice period features

No sound insulation between rooms; we could hear everything that was going on in the next door room. Shame really because a really nice place but could not stay there again

Great location in a beautiful building.

The location in the historic centre of Agüimes is ideal. The town is delightful and authentic - yet only 20 minutes from the airport. The hotel building is beautiful, as is the courtyard garden.

Our room could have been made cozier with some lamps, rather than stark overhead lighting. There was a communal lounge near to the breakfast room - but this was closed in the afternoons/ evenings. More could have been made of this as an additional welcoming space for guests.

A very nice place to stay but for the price we paid, we expected more.

Nice location near the main square of Aguimes. The Room is big and looks nice with the wood.

We stayed in a different room than we had booked. This is not something the hotel told us, we had to figure that out ourselves. The bathroom is ok but needs an upgrade The room is noisy

Very good

. Lovely old hotel. Large rooms, traditionally furnished. Lovely setting round a verdant garden. Very good continental breakfast. Very easy walk to several bars and restaurants. Helpful receptionist who spoke good English. This is not a major tourist town and it helps to know a little Spanish.

It is hard to find in a car, due to narrow roads and pedestrian sections. Best to park at the roundabout and walk the short distance to the hotel. It would have been nice to have a kettle in the room.

Pleasant Casa Rurale to base a tour of Gran Canaria

Casa Rurale style hotel in the centre of Agüimes. My room was large and had large comfortable beds. Breakfast had a reasonable selection and the staff were friendly and helpful when I arrived. It was a short stay, but the Casa is a decent base for anyone to stay in the area. Bus station is just a short walk from the hotel for further exploring. A courtyard is available to sit in and relax and there is a bar, but I didn't notice when this was open.

Room 11 needs a few items checking: - Air con control needs new batteries - Bulb gone above bed - TV main channels not tuned in properly. I wasn't able to report these as I left early.

Cammelos - is a very unique hotel - very original - ask for room no. 10

We had room 10 - on the first floor - a very big and very nice room. Second time we stayed at Camellos - so we knew it would be good.
