Clean, comfortable rooms in a great location, but staff were not helpful.

Great location, particularly if you are visiting the Glacier Lagoon. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Beautiful view of the Northern Lights.

Staff were not particularly helpful, and couldn't handle spitting the dinner bill between 4 rooms.

Nice spot in a secluded location

One of the few in that location, perfect to visit the glacier area, in the middle of nothingness so nice to spot auroras, very nice staff

Extremely hot, very hard to regulate temperature, we spent the night sweating , they gave us only one towel each

Bellissimo hotel immerso nella natura

Bellissimo hotel immerso nella natura. Abbiamo soggiornato qui una notte, le nostre camere avevano una parte esterna molto bella e privata. Abbiamo cenato nel ristorante dell’albergo e abbiamo mangiato molto bene, mentre stavamo mangiando lo staff è venuto ad avvisarci che fuori c’era l’aurora boreale, è stato stupendo. Consiglio fortemente di alloggiare qui.

La vue des chambres et la situation géographique.

Les chambres manquent de propreté. Les installations semblent vétustes et le confort est absent. La salle de bains ressemblent à un hôpital et le sol est inondé lorsque l’on prend la douche. Le tarif est exorbitant comparé à la qualité de la prestation fournie.

Average for rural Iceland

Relatively close to Glacial Lagoon and Diamond Beach. Staff was nice. It was clean and warm.

A bit more spartan than we would have thought based on website. Room we had needs some renovation.

A well placed stopping point on a south coast tour.

The location is great with views across the surrounding landscape. The reception staff were welcoming and helpful. The towels and bed-linens were very clean and the beds comfortable. Having your own door to outside was handy. The breakfast was plentiful with a good selection.

Our room decor was not what we expected for the price we paid. The bathroom felt a bit like tired student accommodation with basic fittings and zero styling. In the bedroom there were messy wires hanging out by the TV where the trunking was loose and some poor repairs had been done to one of the walls. Because the floors are wooden, we could hear people walking past in the corridor outside our room. The hotel would benefit from some sound damping in the buffet dining room - it was extremely noisy when busy. Overall, it was ok, but of all the hotels we stayed in, this was one of the most expensive and we didn’t feel it matched the standard of the others, especially as the view from our room was of the car park.

Amazing service, great rooms! Excellent value!

This hotel is very near Katla Geopark, Skaftafell, Vatnajokull, Jokulsarlon and the Diamond beach. For us it was a great option since we had excursions near that area, so it was a very easy decision. The room had an amazing view and the room also had a back door where you could step out and just admire the scenic view of mountains and snow (in our case there still was snow outside). I must say we were upgraded because I let them know this was my honeymoon trip! They were so nice at front desk and providing this sweet gesture for our Honeymoon in our room, we had 2 small bottles of wine, and a very nice post card congratulating us. This was the only hotel of my 14 day tour around Europe that did this nice thing for us! So a BIG thank you for that! Another thing, I want to give a shout out to Paul at from desk! As we were driving from Reykjavik, I emailed the hotel to prepare dinner boxes for us before the kitchens close (9:30PM), and when we arrived he immediately told me the boxes were being prepared as we spoke! Just excellent service, I'm so thankful! HUGE Thanks to the team involved!

I loved everything, I just want to mention that we did notice that perhaps the bathroom wasn't very well swept..?? Like I could see tiny pieces of like dest, hair.. To be honest it didn't bother us, because everything else was spotless, just that little detail.

Assolutamente perfetto

Miglior hotel in assoluto. Se vi torna bene nel vostro programma di viaggio in Islanda dovete dormire in questo hotel perché è perfetto. Stanza bellissima con piccola terrazza fuori, noi abbiamo beccato anche l’aurora ed è stato magico. Colazione ottima, ristorante alla carta sul posto e staff magnifico.

Ubicado en una zona muy tranquila y cerca del glaciar. El personal muy amable y el restaurante también es muy recomendable probar.

Lacks privacy because window is either looking out on the parking lot or guests use a path to walk past your room. Long walk to room at ends of the halls. Restaurant food was not fresh, much seemed to be pre prepared. Could be better.

We loved the views from our room. Just lying in bed, watching the vast valleys of the area and the mountains in the background was just amazing. Very quiet location, got some "off the grid" vibes, while at the same time enjoying the best of comfort. Totally recommend as a stop during your ring road trip. Very rich breakfast we left completely satisfied.

Staff did the best it could and was empathetic with us. They admitted that the room was dirty and made us change rooms.

The rooms are incredibly small, the furniture is old, cheap and ruined. Beds are really uncomfortable, linens are filled with holes, the rooms are dirty. The first one we saw (which we changed because we found hair in our linens) had a bathroom that was incredibly old and ruined, without a properly functioning shower curtain. The second room was dirty as well, with more hair in the linens. There were no more rooms so staff brought us new linens which was stained. Considering the amount of money we paid to stay here, we feel cheated. Avoid at all costs unless there is no other place to stay

Not quality for money

The hotel is quite close to the glacier and the lagoons. Nice environment around the hotel.

The bathrooms are very old and they smell awful. We asked for a double bed and they gave 2 separate beds close to each other. Poor breakfast for a such a tourist place.

We loved the location of this hotel. Very isolated!

We found the hotel building to be very poor. It felt like a porta cabin build or temporary structure. The shower room was very poor. It felt like a retirement home.

The location was out of nowhere and very minimal light pollution. Great spot for spotting northern lights. The staff is friendly and helpful. The room size is good and looks modern. (We were told that we have been upgraded to a superior room)

The bed is uncomfortable and not clean. Overpriced restaurant.
