Clean, comfortable hotel. The included breakfast was well maintained by the staff and provided an array of options. The hot tub was a nice feature to relax at the end of a hard traveled day. Some family took part in horse riding and others were allowed in the barn to see/pet the horses.
One of the hot tubs was not fully full and cooler than desired.

The location is perfect! Staff were truly so kind and helpful. Our room had a door to go outside which makes it convenient when you’re waiting for northern lights sightings. The hot tub was super relaxing. The hotel is also close to a small town from where you can walk 3,5 km to natural hot springs. We highly recommend this! Everything was perfect!!

Super freundliches Personal. Nette Zimmer.

Nothing i can think of

The hotel is clean, the staff is friendly and the breakfast is very good and rich.
Overall, it makes a somewhat dated impression.
The fact that we were given a not exactly large double room with a sofa bed and a very simple folding bed...all lined up in a row without gaps along the wall...as a 4-bed room, can be described as impudence...especially for this elevated price! There was practically no open space in the room, only a smaller closet and only a sink in the bathroom. We had arrived in the evening and there was no alternative. A part of the rooms show to the highway, so there is quite much noise when you keep the window open. Book your room to the quiet side of the hotel! Don't use the jacuzzi, it doesn't look inviting.
Luckily we only booked one night!

The place is really calm, the staff was very nice and helpful.
Nothing.

It's a really cosy hotel; my room was spacious and warm. The breakfast buffet was very good, including fruits, bread yoghurt porridge. I booked a horse trekking tour which was a fantastic experience, great guides and incredible scenery and I was able to combine this with a whale watching trip with all transfers included which is a very impressive arrangement. It's a convenient driving distance from Keflavik and the area is also convenient for visiting other nearby things like Thingvellir which is 30-40 minutes drive. There is also a hot tub but unfortunately I didn't get to experience it as the huge snowfall made it not possible to operate (out of the hotels control) so this would be nice to experience some other time!
The onsite restaurant had very good food (the mushroom soup was exceptional) although was a bit expensive so I wouldn't be looking to eat there every night of my stay. There are some other restaurants in the town nearby and a supermarket which is convenient

staff on reception and bar were very friendly and helpful. They gave us all the information about the area. We went for a horse riding tour which was very well organised from the start to the end. Ana who was the tour guide was very friendly and made sure everyone was safe and happy. Hot tub is a good addition to the hotel. We’re very happy with the stay.
Nothing

Very friendly staff, they even gave us a ring to let us know about northern lights being visible! Room was comfortable and we loved the floor heating.

It's been 3 years since I stayed. The hotel was still great.
Breakfast is the best in Iceland(I've used over 20 hotels and guesthouses)
No hairdryer and radiator in the room(you can control your room's temperature by floor heater so not cold. Even it's hot if you are on maximum power. There is a tiny radiator in the toilet so it would be not enough to dry your cloths)
4.3
They provide a decent breakfast. The location is good as it's near two nice towns with things to do. The hotel was well heated. Our room was cleaned every day.
The room only had one lamp. There is a small television but only one channel. Our bathroom didn't have a tub and they don't provide a floor mat, so our floor was soaked most of the time. Also, the hot tub wasn't available because the controls were under snow. However, they're perfectly able to dig their electric car charger out of the snow, so I question this excuse.

Location was lovely, slightly in the outskirts providing full glory to northern lights than polluted by typical city lights. Room was spacious and comfortable. Staff (a young lady manning the booth during evening) was also great as she notified us of the most beautiful Aurora we've witnessed during our trip, which without her call, we would never have caught it. Last, breakfast was fantastic, typical Icelandic breakfast spread and more (DIY waffles). We'd gotten dinner in the neighboring city so no comments to that.
