The perfect serene getaway.

A warm welcome from Rachel, the property owner. Communicated efficiently upon arrival and left us to enjoy the peacefulness and serenity of our stay. Explained the basics of the property and gave us her mobile to use in case of any emergencies. The perfect location for an escape from a metropolitan environment. Nothing but beautiful fields for miles. The facilities were clean and free from grime and dust. Towels were provided as well as shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. A free bottle of Prosecco was provided alongside a box of chocolate biscuits, which were an extra special touch to our stay. The area was easily accessible and provided plenty of space for parking. A massive thank you to Rachel for making our stay a very memorable and special one.

The accommodation was stunning and everything was perfect for our holiday.

The accommodation was fantastic and countryside location was stunning. The hosts were great and fresh eggs from the chickens were superb. Will be returning to Somerset next year and will be returning to the chalet near Taunton.

Comfortable couples retreat in a remote corner of the countryside.

Lovely remote area out in the country, perfect for us to re-charge. Nice touch of the welcoming prosecco and biccies!

Luxurious accommodation in stunning location perfect for nature lovers.

Amazing views in every direction with lots of wildlife including deer. Well furnished and equipped with everything you could need plus a bonus of prosecco in the fridge. Friendly but unobtrusive host. Fresh eggs from chickens and guinea fowl in mornings. Really good wifi so no problems working whilst there - coped with Teams video calls with no problem.

Some noise from the M5 but usually drowned out by the birdsong and not noticeable when inside. Some might not like the narrow lanes to access the property but it wasn't a problem for us.

Excellent 😀

Very clean , very comfortable, bed was amazing , everything was top quality, views were amazing , The owners were very friendly but also left you alone to enjoy your stay , we were even able to go help ourselves to fresh eggs of a morning x 100% would stay again

Comfortable stay at The Chalet Somerset

My stay at The Chalet Somerset was wonderful, and I would recommend it to those travelling solo or as a couple. I was travelling for business so opted to stay here as I felt it was the safest option during the current situation. Check-in was contactless, the place was thoroughly cleaned, and I had everything I needed (e.g. coffee machine, kitchen facilities etc.). The WiFi connection is also good so no trouble there. The Chalet is furnished and finished beautifully. Despite the wind and rain during my stay, I felt very peaceful and cosy inside; the bed was very comfortable, there are extra blankets and the place warmed up well. Rachel had definitely taken extra care to make the place feel as homely as possible. The Chalet was very well located; only a short drive to Taunton and shops, but far enough to make you feel like you were away from the bustle of a town. I hope I can return soon on a leisurely trip and have more time to enjoy the beautiful scenery!
