We were looking for a quiet, pet friendly, location to spend some time with our family which was not too far away. This location worked out well. The house is lovely! I was such a fan of all the beautiful art work and unique pieces of furniture...the owner has done a wonderful job with that. We wanted to stay in and cook, there was just about everything we needed for that. That is a big plus for me. The yard was great for our dog, and just the fact that pets are allowed means so much. Litchfield is beautiful and all that we needed was close by. Thank you very much for a wonderful stay!

Very clean, unique decor, house had everything we needed. Very comfortable beds with nice linens.

What a wonderful place to be for 10 days. The house is charming, nicely decorated, fully equipped. The steep staircase and unlevel, creaky floors are just testament to its almost 150-year age. But the beds are comfortable and the two full bathrooms were all we needed for 6 adults and a 4-year-old. Sharyn, the host, is helpful and responsive, and she had provided everything we needed in the kitchen, bathrooms, and laundry in the cellar. The back deck is perfect for a glass of wine with friends in the evening. But it is the location that made us so happy to be there. On a short, dead-end lane off a quiet street in one of the prettiest and most historic towns in New England. It is so quiet and private, yet only a short, pleasant walk to restaurants. museums, shops in the center of Litchfield. It was perfect for our stay.

Our stay at Sharyn‘s property was perfect! It all begins with her kindness, responsiveness, and generous hospitality. The location was wonderful, a five minute walk to an adorable town that had everything you could ever want, including excellent restaurants. The house itself was warm and comfortable, the beds were sheer heaven, and the water pressure and hot water were amazing! I slept better than I have in years! Everything you want is at your fingertips and there is a lot of thought put into making your stay a comfortable one. The house was spotless, and everything was in excellent working order. We would love to come back, the Litchfield Hills are beautiful! Thank you, Sharyn!😊

The property was precisely as advertised: well located and charmingly eclectic. The house is a 5 minute or so walk to the historic Litchfield Green which is riddled with high quality shops and restaurants. The house has multiple spaces in which to stretch out and relax. The owner/manager has anticipated most needs and is immediately responsive to any question.

My mother and three of her girlfriends stayed here for almost a week. It is a beautifully decorated, welcoming & sophisticated space. The decor, the location, Sharyn’s hospitality- went above and beyond expectation. If you are in litchfield , you will feel honored to stay at this magical home!

Fenced-in back yard, deck, patio, on quiet dead-end lane. Comfortable house, very clean. Very good mattresses and great water pressure in both bathrooms. Bring your good corkscrew! The owner wrote a welcome note and made herself available if needed.

A pleasure dealing with the property owner. House super clean. We’ll stay here again on our next trip to the White Flower Farm nursery and just touring northwest Connecticut.

A Wonderful Gem
This home has everything you’ll need for either a weekend or multiple week stay. Very comfortable, each bedroom has a queen bed, everything needed to cook with if not going out to the fabulous restaurants within walking distance. The house manager is friendly and responded quickly to any questions.

What a house!
We decided to ski for a few days and needed a property close by with pet accommodations. We were blow away by the place. I’ve stayed at places with pretty pictures that never really looked like the property so I was expecting this to be the same. It was the first house where the description accurately matched the photos. We can’t wait to book again in the future. Sharyn was fabulous, too!

Living like a local
Just down the road from the perfect Litchfield green and Main Street, this warm and lovely home on a country lane welcomed us. With a picket fence and a front porch, it offered us iconic New England living. The home's interior design was the epitome of a mystical and magical feng shui. Each of the rooms featured their own colorful and attractive theme. The bathrooms were very updated, and the water pressure was luxurious. The bed was very comfortable; we only used one of them. The kitchen was well equipped. The residence lives up to the promise made by the VRBO photos. Even Emma, our 13 pound dachshund, settled right into the warmth and privacy of this home away from home. With its proximity to shops and restaurants, this cozy temporary residence made us feel like locals. Sharyn, our host and the homeowner, was very responsive to our questions, very committed to our having a wonderful stay, and very accommodating. Thank you, Sharyn! We will be back!

Beautiful home in a great location
We had a great time staying in Litchfield for our family vacation. The house was clean, comfortable, and so unique! Lots of space and the yard is perfect for dogs to run around, playing cornhole, or just sitting out by the fire pit. Every amenity is available within the home, which I think is often a rarity in rentals. Plus, you can’t beat the location. Walking distance to the little town square to grab a coffee or shop, and a not even 10 minute drive to great hikes, Bantam Lake, the Litchfield Distillery and more! We loved our stay here and would definitely come back again!

Great place to stay near town
We really enjoyed our stay in Litchfield. The house was close to the downtown area, we loved that we could walk there. The house had a great backyard, fully fenced which was great for our dog and kids. The beds in all the rooms were really comfortable and the house was very clean and comfortable. We did have our 1.5 year old son with us and the stairs were a bit scary with him and our 4 year old (much steeper than our stairs at home), but luckily we had friends in town who lent us a baby gate so it was fine. Would definitely stay again!

Historic Litchfield
We had a great relaxing long weekend here. The house was spotless. It had the ambiance of a historic house yet with modern updated kitchen and bathrooms. It was beautifully decorated. We had a problem with the lock, and the owner was very responsive and got it fixed rapidly.

Great location.
Very comfortable accommodations, including super comfortable beds!
We loved our long weekend there.

Nice home but dishwasher smelled to strongly for us to use.
Great location on quiet dead end road near town. Nicely decorated home that is not newly renovated but was fine for a short rental. Bathrooms are nice and water pressure was great.
Easy check in process.
Negatives: dishwasher smelled so strongly (to me and my girlfriend it smelled of mold) that we did not use it and we could smell the odor by the sink with the dishwasher closed. It was nicely stocked with condiments...but some items (yogurt in fridge, scrackers in cabinet...) were past expiration date. Mattress is lumpy (uneven), There is a narrow staircase with no rail in case that is an issue for anyone. Grill was hard to light without using a match and was dirty but cleaned up easily.

Charming, Peaceful and Perfect
We’ve rented a lot of lovely homes over the years, but this charming Litchfield house is definitely one of the best. It was impeccably clean and furnished with an artful eye. The house -- from it’s well-equipped kitchen to the sunny patio -- felt like home. The owner has thought of everything for a comfortable stay and it’s proximity to the village green in Litchfield was yet another bonus. It was a great base to explore this beautiful part of Connecticut and we had to balance that with our desire to just relax on the property. The owner was incredibly responsive, welcoming us in advance via email and making sure we had all the local contact information we needed. We can’t wait to come back to this special place!!!

Great location and beautiful home!
Beautiful home, very well located, only a few blocks from shops and restaurants in downtown Litchfield.
We were contacted and assisted by both the owner and rental company, which made it for a very pleasant stay.
We would highly recommend it for anybody looking for a charming place to stay in this area.

Incredibly sweet and charming home!
I loved every day and evening of my stay this picture perfect 1800s country home. It’s super cozy yet plenty spacious. Each room has its own special purpose and personality. I wanted to spend time in all of them. I slept so well every night. It’s a very peaceful happy house. Everything was appropriately stocked for convenience in the kitchen and baths. I loved the front porch but it was too cold during my stay to enjoy it. Next time!!! I would definitely go back and I plan too.

House is in a wonderful location, walking distance to great dining in Litchfield. Simple, old school charm. Comfortable, and easy.

Great property- very well appointed kitchen and dining accessories. The house just makes sense!
We enjoyed having our family of 6 plus one infant in this well appointed home. Beds and bedding were comfortable and the houses proximity to the town offerings made walking to area restaurants and shops pleasant.
Would defiantly recommend this property and stay again. This listing keeps in the true spirit of home away. I felt like Sharyn shared her home with us and was at the ready or provided contacts if any problems arose, of which we had none.

Cozy home
Near Litchfield green and convenient to other nearby areas of Connecticut. Great kitchen with everything you need. Only recommendations include extend baseboard heating into the large upstairs bathroom, consider a railing for the stairs to the second floor and remove small ac units for the winter months. Otherwise great weekend getaway.....

Historic and sweet
Charming historic home with every accommodation you need. Beautifully decorated. My only issue was that the second bathroom is on the first floor and all bedrooms are on the second floor so it’s a challenge to go downstairs to use the bathroom if you’re sharing the house with other people.

Charming home with wonderful yard!
We loved staying in this charming home. The furnishings were beautiful, the beds were very comfortable. Everything we needed for our stay was right at our fingertips. I would highly recommend this home!
