We had a terrific time staying at this property. The house was clean, in a great location, owner was amazing.
I highly recommend this place.

This was a lovely property, exactly as described in the listing. The home is spacious and had everything we needed for a family of 5. The kitchen was well-appointed and I really appreciated the coffee and snacks left by the host.
The location is also excellent, within 15 minutes of just about everything in the city. The host was helpful and responsive. We would absolutely stay again!

This was our second time staying on this property. We like that the house has plenty of room for all of us. Has amenities available and an extra space for a baby.

We enjoyed our 7 day stay at this charming property located in the historic district of Louisville while attending the annual art show. All the accommodations were spot on and, James, our most gracious host, was quick to respond to our questions and needs as well as provide a well supplied pantry of coffee and snacks. Loved the decor, artwork, and spaciousness of clean rooms. Appreciated that there was private parking as streetside is busy. This is a great rental for couples to larger families... a home away from home while enjoying the offerings of Louisville. Thanks to James and Staff...Highly Recommend.

My sisters and I spent a long weekend in Louisville to catch a concert at the Palace and explore the distilleries in Louisville.
This house was perfectly located in the historic area, walkable to some great eateries and shops around the area (Toasty's Tavern and Renshoku Ramen) and a very quick uber/drive away from downtown. Parking in the back of the house was gated, with plenty of space if you had more than one car outside the gate.
The house itself was exactly as the pictures show. Beautiful historical house that's been well updated. Beds were plenty and super comfortable, and all amenities like shampoo, makeup wipes, extra towels, hair dryers, etc were all provided.
Kitchen was stocked with a welcome supply of snacks and coffee.
There were four of us for this weekend but this house could have easily housed many more. We'd absolutely recommend for a good jumping off point to explore Louisville.

We spend 3 nights in this large and beautifully kept home. Would definitely stay there again if visiting Louisville.

The location of this rental was terrific. We were within 10/15 minutes of downtown, where 'Whiskey Row' is located. It made the Ubers cheap and quick. The rental was clean and spacious. We cooked some meals there with no problems/missing items. The pillows were a little flat, but it was no issue considering how tired we all were. The manager was easy to get in contact with and was helpful when we experienced some issues with the website. The area was a little loud at night and shady, but I never felt unsafe.

It was Great. The house had alot of character, the brick on some of the interior walls, high ceilings. The downstairs area & bedrooms very spacious. Plenty of room for everyone. Not on top of each other.

Enjoyed a quick trip to Louisville. This home is better then described. It is lovely and the hosts have thought of everything a guest may need! The area is a bit loud it was the 4th of July week so perhaps it’s quieter at other times. Would highly recommend this home and this host!

I booked a three night stay based on high ratings for this property. The location is convenient and the owner was very nice and easy to contact. Everything else did not live up to the high ratings. The neighborhood is in the process of recertification but much of the neighborhood is still rundown with questionable people roaming. We tried to walk after dinner the first night but quickly realized we felt unsafe. The house has been somewhat updated but stills needs a lot of work and better cleaning. The worst part of the property is the constant loud traffic noise that is as loud at 3:00 am as it is at 3:00 pm. Oak street is apparently a connector road used for commercial trucks to access interstate I-65 all day and all night. The house is only a couple of blocks from I-65 and again constant traffic noise is heard from the interstate. We moved from the primary bedroom to a bedroom at the back of the house the second night. We used two white noise apps on each side of the bed and used ear plugs in hopes of getting some sleep. This only helped slightly. We were so uncomfortable with the bad neighborhood, the constant excessive loud noises and inability to sleep we made the decision to leave after the second day. It was worth losing a days rent to get out of this situation. I think the owner has good intentions and tries very hard to be a good host with supplying snacks, coffee, toiletries, water etc. but this doesn’t compensate for all the other issues of the property.

This rental was so nice! The inside is beautifully decorated, and it is very spacious. The location was very convenient as well. The neighborhood is better than expected from our initial drive in. There are some homes that need to be fixed up, but we never felt unsafe.
There is some road noise from the area, but I’m a light sleeper and was able to sleep through it all.
Our host, James, accommodated our early check in time and provided a list of restaurants at a variety of price points.
Overall a fabulous rental. Our entire group, from my mid 70s parents to my teen children, would recommend this place.

We had a fun stay! James was super responsive. The house is roomy and very cute. We would have loved a little more equipment in the kitchen (cooking utensils, plastic baggies, baking pans, etc), but otherwise everything was great for our group!

Our group of four stayed here for three nights. We’re from out of state and it was our first visit here. We wanted to stay in a more historic part of the city, and this home was perfect. It has been nicely updated, but still retains the feel of historic Louisville. The bedrooms/beds were comfy, nicely decorated with good linens and the bathrooms had nicer amenities than is typical. James was probably the best host we’ve ever had with a rental property. He was accessible and always helpful including providing us with restaurant recommendations. The home was well stocked with snacks and beverages for us…a nice touch. Don’t let the photo of the stairs intimidate you. We’re all over 70 and had no problems whatsoever. There is a handrail and the stair treads were a good size. So going up and down wasn’t an issue. We loved the common areas downstairs…there is a half bath downstairs as well. There is also an enclosed concrete parking pad for your vehicle which was nice. We really enjoyed our stay here. Thank you, James!

Our experience here was excellent. James is VERY attentive and has wonderful communication. We arrived late and found the home easily and it was so comforting to arrive to a warm, lit house. Everything is very clean, beautifully decorated, and the layout for awake and rest times very good. We all slept very well and everyone was happy to have a very generous sized bed. The location is amazing too equally easy to access both downtown and the outer parts of Louisville. We navigated around a new city easily. The house is BEAUTIFUL, historic and we will miss it! Looking forward to another stay in the future and very grateful we had the opportunity to visit.

A group of 9 visited Louisville for a bachelorette party and picked this home. Absolutely beautiful home, artwork and decor was top notch and very stylish. The home was very clean and the beds so comfortable! James was very helpful with instructions and tips for visiting the city! We also met Amy on our way out and she was very polite as well. The location of this home is great for going to Nulu which is where we spent most of our time!

We stayed here for a long weekend with a group of 10 friends. Plenty of space to call home for weekend. The house is a convenient uber to/from downtown and we had no trouble going back and forth. The house was clean and well stocked with snacks, coffee, toiletries, etc. We would stay here again if visiting

Don’t miss this place!!!
I don’t even know where do start, nor do I think there is enough room here to say enough about how amazing this property was; not to mention our host James! The location is perfect, and the house is perfect! We’ve stayed in several VRBOs and this has been by far the best. Even my husband, who is a HUGE critic, said this was the best yet! Thank you James for being a part of the best 70th birthday celebration ever!

I cannot thank James, the host, enough for everything he did for me and my group during our stay. We had some A/C troubles upon arriving and James went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and help make things right. He was so incredibly genuine, kind, and responsive to our needs. HIGHLY recommend this charming house in a perfect location in Louisville. You will receive wonderful service!!! We will be back!!

Great stay in Old Louisville for a girls' bourbon weekend
We had a great stay! Accomodations were perfect for our group., two large full bathrooms with very large bedrooms. This house is great for a group or families. Location was good for getting around, not much within walking distance. We would highly recommend for anyone coming to Louisville for a fun weekend!

Simply Gorgeous House
Stayed here for my buddies bachelor’s party weekend. House was beautiful in the pictures but still did not capture how incredible it looks in person. It was clean, comfortable, and welcoming. Host was very accommodating and easily reachable to answer and questions. I recommend to anyone looking for a lovely house to enhance their experience in Louisville. 6 out of 5 and will definitely return.

Highly recommend
We stayed here as a group of 9 and had a great stay! The home is beautiful with wonderful character. We loved the high ceilings. All of the bedrooms are upstairs and we all slept well away from the living spaces downstairs. The house is fully equipped-we had everything we needed. The location is great. Everything we did was within a 10 minute drive. Going in and out of the home was very easy and secure. The only thing to note is that the home is on a somewhat busy road, close to the airport, and very close to the interstate, so if you are sensitive to traffic noises, that is something to consider. We did not mind, though. This place is worth a stay!

Birthday Getaway
This property is superb. There were only 4 of us, beyond plenty of space, and rather cozy.
Biggest bedroom is a little bit cooler than the other rooms, but some of my party preferred it.
Perfect location to go into downtown and far enough away for a quiet experience.

Great place for a family to stay.
Our family of four (including two adult sons) stayed heer for a brief reunion. It's a perfect spot. The house is just like the photos - an old historic home, remodeled and upgraded.. It's clean, spacious, comfortable and has everything you need. Kitchen is well equipped. The host has thought of everything and is very helpful, accommodating, and is a great communicator. It's not far from downtown and close (a short drive) to great little restaurants and bars. Secure parking in the back with gate.
I'd highly recommend this place!

Christmas stay
We enjoyed our stay. It was just the right size for the family . It had everything we needed. I would suggest having more dish towels and dish rags.

This is the way to see Old Louisville!
This charming Oak Street property was our choice of place to stay with our three young children, due to its location close to downtown, with plenty of walkable restaurants and playgrounds in the area. The inside space was large without being cavernous, giving us all enough room to spread out and enjoy down times at "home". Lot's of art on the walls made the rooms feel both homey and appealing to walk around slowly and admire the pieces. There is a bit of road noise, which might be disruptive for light sleepers, especially in the front bedroom, which one might expect from a city neighborhood. However, the middle and back bedrooms are much quieter. We had a wonderful stay, and this will be our choice again when we come back to Louisville!

Close to everything
This is a great home. The pictures are exactly what you see. If you like to recycle there is a bin to be able to do that, which we loved.
