Just like the photos everything was clean and nice
One day we had to wait to get out of the garage because another car was blocking us. But the staff helped us and it was fine after 20 min .

Booking.com said my booking was confirmed but when I arrived I had to wait 20 mins outside as there was no one at reception and then when I finally got someone’s attention they told me my booking was not confirmed at the hotel was full. I had to quickly find new place 10 mins walk away for twice the price.

The room was clean and comfortable
Hotel overcharged us on the booking app said $108 for 2 night they charged us more on arrival. Hard access to Hotel at night no one on reception waiting outside for long periods trying to get in the building also the room doors are really small

The property is nice, classic vibe and it’s really well located 4 blocks away from the main plaza.
The staff is very, and I mean in a serious way, amateur or unprofessional. They are nice people, but they just don’t have a clue of how to manage a hotel. Same person at the front desk has to cook breakfast, open the door at the hotel and check in or out guests at the same time. For real.
Bedroom lighting is bad and uncomfortable for the eyes, and having no windows in any room that is a must.
The beds and pillows are honestly some of the worst I slept in years, and I’m not a picky person, but they are just cheap and bad.
You can’t have anything to drink because they are just not prepared at all. Not water, not a beer, not coffee, just nothing.
The breakfast is bad too, it’s like a minimalist plate of fruit. Like 2 slices of banana (yes, honestly 2 slices), 3 bites of watermelon, and 4 small bites of papaya. And that was literal. Scrambled eggs and a poor quality coffee. It’s bad.
The building could make a nice little hotel, but the problem is the management and the choices they make.

The hotel is small and perfect for a good night's rest after walking the city. The staff was friendly and helpful, we liked that to enter the property you have to ring a bell. Close to the city center.
They didn't clean the room during our stay (3 days) We don't have an issue with this but some might. No elevator. The rooms are small and a bit narrow but we had three beds in it so again, no complaints.

Location
Complete different reality in room than you got seen in photos. Cold water shower in the morning. Walls of a room without sound isolation, can hearing what's going in other rooms.

The hotel has a lot of charm and a good location. It was clean and the shower water was hot (something not to take for granted in Ecuador). Overall, a good experience. We had a billing issue that was resolved quickly with the help of our tour guide. We appreciated the hotel owner’s prompt response.
The only issue of note was that the WiFi was not very good, it worked in the common areas but not very well in our rooms.

This hotel is a good stay when passing through Cuenca. It is close to the bus station and close to all the restaurants. The staff is very kind a helpful. Breakfast is also included and is very nice.
The first time I stayed, the rooms were very cold but luckily there were lots of extra warm blankets. The rooms are generally very clean but the last time I stayed, there were black hairs all of the pillow cases when I pulled back the duvet cover.

The staff was wonderful, friendly and professional. The beds were very comfortable, and the coffee was excellent! It was also very clean and quiet.
Breakfast could have had more variety and included something other than scrambled eggs and bread with very little fruit.

breakfast is the same every day

Beautiful patrimonial home With an excellent location. It was in the heart of el centro walking distance to anything I needed including fine restaurants, coffee shops, historical sights and the Tomebomba River and walking trail. It’s on a street with a nice jewelry shop with handcrafted pieces. They offer to make any arrangements for you like finding out about current event schedules etc. or locations of a pizzeria for delivery.
The breakfast was a simple, delicious, made to order desayuno of fresh fruit, organic juices, eggs and toast. They have a small bar to get a glass of wine in the evening. The bathroom was modern and had hot water. Most importantly, I slept well with comfortable beds and it was very quiet. Night time street noise can normally be a problem in el centro.
The only difficulty is the family does not speak much English but they were very patient with Google translate.
Highly recommend this beautiful simple home for a real, genuine ecuadorian experience. And, it is a good value.
This is not that important but I would have liked a blow dryer. It would also have been nice to have a basic instruction sheet in English of how to enter building, use the key, the services they offer etc. They may have had this but I did not know. Will definitely stay here again if I return to Cuenca. Just what I was looking for.

Great location, halfway between Calle Larga and the Cathedral, everything within walking distance. Very clean place and having Jacinto taking care of every single detail made everything so easy and relaxed. Jacinto is a superb individual, educated, attentive and courteous. When back in Cuenca, that's my place!
Ours was the only room left and it was kind of small but the attention and cleanliness made up for that.

Such a nice room, the beds are incredibly comfortable, the shower is lovely and hot and the location is great.
The breakfast was very basic and some of the staff weren’t too friendly.

My wife and her mum visited Cuenca and Hotel Siena is one of their favourites. They stayed here several times before. What stands out is the boutique atmosphere, the elegant styled rooms and the homey, cozy feeling. The location is perfect. The staff was friendly. Hopefully, the tourisme will come back for this hotel and all the other.
