Stunning property! Buffet dinner was delicious! Such a great location close to the lake.
Not the property’s fault but we forgot to book a private onsen & both have tattoos so we were a bit sad to miss that experience. Once again not the fault of anyone but us. Will remember to book for next time.

Beautifully maintained, simple decor. Great location across the road from Lake Ashli. The rooms were comfortable and cleaned daily. The staff were very polite and accommodating. We had half board so that included a buffet breakfast and dinner. There was some western style food but mostly Japanese high quality, gourmet. Lots of seafood focus so if someone does not like seafood or to step outside of their cultural norms, then stick with breakfast. But for us, the food was amazing and so many choices that you did not have to repeat what you had for meals unless you wanted to. The hot spring baths were impeccable in cleanliness and very nice and well stocked dressing lounges for each gender. So much attention to details for guest comfort everywhere at the resort. Very walkable area and a cable car for Mt Fuji viewing areas. Lots of trails for hikers as well. Absolutely beautiful area, hotel picked us up at the train station. Two to three night stay would be perfect amount.
It was isolated, closest cafes or restaurants were 9-15 km away but easy to have hotel call a taxi for you.

Nichts!

This hotel is a must stay - we loved it. On arrival, they provide you with pyjamas and kiminos that can wear while hanging aorund the hotel. The spa was open until late, which allow you to visit Hakone and surrounding, have dinner and go for a hot bath at the end of your day. The breakfast and dinner buffets were amazing! Honestly all positive, they made our stay quite memorable!

It is important to request a room with the lake view when booking. We had a room with a car park view so on arrival we requested a lake view to which we had to pay extra but it was worthy. Breakfast and Dinner were ok. It was the same selection for the two days that we stayed. Staff were polite and accommodating. The hotel is in a beautiful location and next to Togendai station. I will definitely recommend the hotel.

My family (2 adults and 3 kids aged 8-14) loved the public baths and the buffets - they are very oriented to a lot of different food types so everyone found things they enjoyed. The food was delicious and staff were so helpful.
Not a huge deal but the bath on our deck was too hot to enjoy because it was so deep, and our room was quite a long walk from the main building.

-groot en ruim complex
-ruime kamers
-schoon
Het tattoo beleid, dat getatoeëerde geen gebruik mogen maken van publieke onsens (maar dat wist ik al tijdens het boeken, vandaar de prive-onsen in de kamer)

Awesome location, incredible views of the lake from the lobby, dining room, and our room as well! Extremely modern adn beautiful hotel with awesome staff. Really enjoyed the private onsen. Maybe the best possible location for a visit to Hakone, as you are walking distance from 1) lake cruise starting location 2) the Hakone ropeway (gondola), and 3) bus stops. Was really easy to get around and experience the entire area from here. I personally loved the buffet situation, the food was great and there are so many options that I didn't get tired of it being the same. The Manager also apologized that the food would be the same and provided us a special unique dish each night we were there.
Private onsen isn't free, but hey it's extremely nice so I'm okay with it.

We loved the location. Having the pirate ship cruise a few metres away was amazing, especially since we arrived early and jumped on the ship within a few minutes of checking in! Our room was fantastic, especially the balcony with hot tub!
The food was slightly above average. Dinner was so-so but breakfast was very good.

This hotel was exceptional. The service was outstanding and we were especially appreciative of the staff speaking English for us. The hotel design, amenities, and setting are among the best we’ve ever stayed at.

The hotel location is perfect, just next to the train station. Room with river view is amazing. Food is up to standard and the services are good. It’s fit for family staying.
you need to book the time for the dinner/ breakfast as they have different time slots to accommodate customers

position and view are really good for this hotel. family room are large and well equipped with kimono to be used during the stay. Onsen is well organized with indoor and outdoor pool. 2 minutes walk to the Hakone Rope line, lake cruise boat and bus connection . excellent breakfast and dinner. the hotel offer a shuttle bus from and to Odawara station (Shinkansen stops there)
if you stay more than one night the dinner menu doesn’t change too much.

Fantastic hotel in a great location, Breakfast and Dinner was convenient as there is not many other options available in the area, Onsen was clean and very relaxing. Location was great with easy access to the boat tour and walking tracks in around lake Ashi

The hotel in it self is fantastic. Very nice experience. Very nice staff. The buffet both for breakfast and supper were very good, with a lot of options for all tastes. The kimono for all was a very nice touch.
We received a room in the first floor infront of the road with no views despite being advertised as room lake side. We had a private onsen and it was disappointing not getting the nice view of the lake and get car noises instead.

All the staff we met were lovely and helpful.
Our room was lake facing - but sheltered by trees so felt v private. It had a hot tub on its balcony. The room itself was spotlessly clean as were all of the hotel areas we used.
There was a broad selection at the buffet dinner and breakfast. It was good. There is next to nothing in the surrounding area so without half board it would be difficult.
Transport worked surprisingly well - hotel shuttle to and from Odawara was great - book in advance! The ropeway up is right next door, as is the pirate ship lake cruise. This is a well connected get-away-from it all - type destination.
We had a lovely stay - thank you to all the staff!

We loved the Onsen; the spa area out- and indoors with dry sauna! Great views of the lake. Very friendly staff. When you stay for multiple days they will offer an additional complementory small dish to break the habit of the buffet. The buffet is very rich in taste and experience. They even provide kimonos and samues for free and everybody wears those outfits during dinner.
I provided a little wine serving course for the waiters; they are not so much trained serving Italian Red.

Excellent location with beautiful views and easy access to rope way/ bus stops/ cruise ships. Foot bath in front of mountain view is very enjoyable, staff will kindly offer to help take pictures. Male/Female Onsen will rotate and change locations at night and day for different views and facilities. Both the dinner and breakfast buffet were terrific with the range of food provided, especially the soft serve machine and appetizers at dinner; staff were all very attentive despite the big amount of people at dining time. Shuttle bus service is also very convenient for travels to/from Odawara station.
Not the hotel’s fault for being so popular, but it’s so crowded with people as soon as the check-in time starts! This is more like a suggestion to visitors—maybe arrive 1-2 hours later

private onzen in the room. cute terrace facing the lake.
the public onzen were not very nice and had a public swimming pool vibe. The bedroom was dark and windowless and reminded me of a sarcophagus. Food was cafeteria style and not very good.

nice onsen, clean rooms, great food
