Property was beautiful, location and surroundings excellent. Everything you needed for a great stay and explore of cornwall & devon
No recycling facilities was a miss

Lovely location. Great facilities in the house. Everything we needed and more
Bed was quite uncomfortable. WiFi in the building would have been nice and could easily be implemented. Low water pressure in the showers. Had to buy a fan cause it was very hot upstairs. Nothing bad to write about really and I will still recommend the place

Very clean and friendly service, location was ideal to use as a base to explore from. Plenty of pubs and food location nearby.

All of it like going fishing outside and the lake was lovely and surrounding was excellent and nice and quiet
Some of the cleaning wasn't done properly in my eyes especially with the circumstances especially on stairs still a lot of dust appreciate that's not very good places for clean but it still needs to be clean it could do with simple things like a few more cooking essentials eG bread knife a few more knifes to peel vegetables with the other thing was when we strip the beds we had to leave them mattress protectors on which I don't think it's right especially again their circumstances and the pillows definitely need changing and some of the country roads with very challenging for some people but not for my husband

The town was not great?

We loved the views and the cosy feel to the cottage. There’s a nice short walk (10 mins) around the lake. If you’re bringing a dog, there’s a lovely place to walk 5 mins drive away called Kit Hill.
Spiders! So many spiders and cobwebs, would be nice if these could be gotten rid of between each guests. Would be nice if some toiletries were provided eg shower gel, and also maybe a welcome pack of milk, bread etc. No WiFi at all in the property, luckily we had 4g just about (weather was awful so spent a lot of time at the cottage! Being able to watch a film or something would have been a bonus). Also to note - the garden isn’t fenced off so not ideal for dogs.

NA
The very narrow country lanes in some areas, my sister in ended up with a load of scatches on either side of her car because of the very narrow lanes and the bushes.

House was very comfortable with great facilities and the grounds were stunning.
Lots of harvester spiders. Literally everywhere. More hoovering required to get rid of cob webs, especially around the furniture.

Perfect place to disconnect.

We had amazing week at The Lake view cottage. My dog loved to watch the birds and sunbathe in the front of the property. We loved that there were other dogs around and we could walk around both of the lakes.
There is nothing wrong with this property. We had couple of spiders in our bedroom but that is expected when you live on the farm. Only thing is if you want to walk your dog there is nothing much around the property, but in Callington is place called Kit Hill and you can take your dog there and walk for miles.

We had an amazing weekend here with dottie our pup! The surroundings are beautiful and everything was clean to a high standard. Will definitely be booking again ...thankyou Kay ❤❤
The only grumble comes from my 14 year old daughter that the WiFi was patchy and only works upstairs! So she had the upstairs bedroom ...problem solved!

The cottage was beautiful, spotlessly clean and had everything we needed to make our stay relaxing and enjoyable. The cottage was lovely and warm (all the time!), and felt welcoming when we arrived back from a day out. The location was extremely peaceful and we really enjoyed walking around the lakes at sunset. The view from the upstairs sitting room was absolutely stunning, and made us feel like we were in the middle of nowhere. We had an absolutely fantastic break and would go back and stay at Polhilsa again in a heartbeat.
The only thing we didn't manage to find, was where to put our recycling (glass, paper, cans, etc) at the end of our stay - not a deal breaker, but we like doing our bit for the environment.

The cottage and location were perfect. We will definitely be back to stay again!
The WiFi wasn’t good as we couldn’t pick it up in the cottage. However, we all had 4G so it wasn’t really a major issue.

Everything! Lakeview Cottage was PERFECT! Every detail has been thought of. Such a lovely, peaceful escape. Could have stayed for weeks!
Nothing!
