The place is perfect. Very homely comfortable feel about the whole complex.
It is a Family owned business that is well run and everything is done with care. This family took great care of me and my friend and we would certainly return.
Nothing.

I stayed for 3 nights It was quiet for the first two nights. Nice food, nice lady. The rented bike was in good condition
It was rather hot. Fan only rooms. Overcharged for the room from what the booking dot com price was. The Owners son was on an errand and also bought some items for me in town. He lied about the price and pocketed the change. It was not a lot of money, but both issues reflect on the moral standard supplied. On the last night there was a house warming next door where priests blessed the house loudly through prayer and song all night long. I have no issue with this per sei, but i would have not stayed there for the last night if i had known it was to occur. The owners were well aware of what was about to happen yet did not inform me of it. I had no sleep that night. When confronted they did not see how it was an issue and offered no apology.

The value for this price is very good. The room was clean, since I was the only guest sharing the bathroom was no problem.
Staff was friendly.

The host family were super friendly, making the nice atmosphere in their homestay. The bathroom was very clean and pleasant, and the food that they serve for breakfast and dinner is just amazing. I was served like someone special. They are ready to help you with everything, you can rent a bike to go to the ancient city. This homestay is a little out of a town in a nice , quiet area. I enjoyed my stay there a lot and recommend this place.

I was offered a welcome drink by the host. The family is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good, at a reasonable price and bicycle rental too. It's a lovely, clean and beautiful guesthouse not far from the museum and ruins.

Very nice guest house with comfy beds, spacious rooms and nice common area. The facilities were clean. Close to many amenities, and the archeological center. The owner was super friendly and helpful with everything. My recommendation for Polonnaruwa.

Comparing the comfort of accomodation and the kindness of the owners to the price is the best choice. They rent a bikes for 500 LKR.

The family who runs this hotel is the best. They are welcoming, super friendly and took care of me about everything. They offered me free dinner and lunch and cold drink when I came back from the sight seeing!
The room I booked, at the cheapest category, actually doesn’t have attached bathroom, so they gave me another room with attached bathroom for 200 rupees more, but way bigger. The room is spotlessly clean, very comfortable, good value for money.
The check out was supposed to be 9am, I was quite surprised. Upon my request, the family said 10 am check out is ok.
There is no hot water shower.

We liked literally EVERYTHING - the room was nice, clean and comfy.
The location was convenient for us because we travel by bicycles, but if you don't you can rent one at the guesthouse to explore the Old City.
The family is extremely friendly and hospitable. They cooked delicious breakfast and dinner for us even though the meals weren't included on Booking.
We'd love to come back to this place when we're back in Polonnaruwa.
100% recommended! You won't regret.
Just the fact that we stayed only 2 nights. Hope we'll come back one day!

We had a perfect time in Polonnaruwa, thanks to the lovely family running Kumari Guest House . They were wonderful hosts. The room and bathroom are super clean and the food is superb - the breakfast and dinner exceeded all our expectations. If you stay at Kumari Guest House definitely have some homemade rice and curry. It was the best we have had in Sri Lanka. We also rented bikes which was very convenient to visit the archeological park. They were also a huge help in planning our trip to Kataragama which saved us lots of hours of traveling for the next day. If you come to Polonnaruwa, stay at Kumari Guest House.
