Fantastic Night

We loved the whole superior room it was beautiful, the facilities was absolutely fantastic

Only thing was the bed, it was quite squeaky so didnt want to move to much

Excellent séjour à Whangarei

Accueil sympathique et plein de bons conseils de notre hôtesse (visites et restaurants) La grande maison colorée , sa vaste cuisine /salle de petit déjeuner bien équipée mise à disposition des clients à tout moment. Notre chambre et sa terrasse donnant sur le jardin qui est superbe . Le calme pour bien dormir. Notre hôtesse qui a fait pour nous une lessive gratuitement ! Un grand merci 🙏

Rien, tout était très bien. Peut-être juste l’éclairage à l’entrée sur la rue car on ne distingue pas bien l’entrée

Just an ordinarily room in a shared house. Never again !

Nothing much. Just an ordinary room in a house.

We were late to arrive as we had a tryre puncture just near the accommodation, had to walk to the accommodation & an old grumpy woman( owner) asked us to leave the car on the road and come to the room. Clearly, her intention was to accommodate us to the room quickly so others wont get disturbed at 8.30pm, she never bothered to even ask us what needs to be done to sort out our car just forsake of asking ( We were waiting for AA ). She was unpleasant & got annoyed as we rang the house bell at 8.30 pm, said leave the car on the road & not to disturb others in the house. This accommodation is just an ordinary small double room in a house not worth for the money when compared to the places we stayed before and services we received by other hosts. In the room, not even a bottle of water provided. Booking.com page info is totally misleading and the first impression by the owner was horrible after a long drive from cape Reigna and with an unexpected flat tyre just outside the accommodation. Room door cannot be closed tightly and the outside kitchen light comes into the room through the gap along the door during the night. Pillows are just basic as well as the bed. No sheets or blankets provided, only a quilt/ Duvet was on the bed. Other visitors smoke outside the room and the cigarette smell was felt strong in the room at early morning.

Sue's place is awesome, great facilities and it's very clean. When you walk through the garden, you find hidden gems everywhere and the river is so nice. Thank you for having us over! 😀

Stunning gardens, the property is immaculate, great sized rooms. We had a very comfortable stay. Dogs are welcome, just be advised dogs will need to be on a lead when in the garden and are not permitted in the kitchen.

Beautiful accommodation, would stay again

Quiet and peaceful. Large gardens beautiful, outside covered terrace (shame about the heavy rain but still lovely sitting out there). Comfortable room and bed. Spotless en-suite. Sue (the owner) is very accommodating and friendly. Two small dogs quiet & friendly. Safe, way off the road. Short drive into Whangarei.

No B&B as was advertised on a hotel booking site - I believe a site error in advertising) but free tea, coffee & milk + fridge space. Not a big deal for us.

Quirky and fun and we felt very welcomed. Also local restaurant (Tonic) which is less than five minute walk away served

Comfy and clear room with a lovely patio where we enjoyed an evening glass wine in the middle of the bush. Beautiful garden and we loved falling asleep to the gentle sound of a flowing stream.

Hidden Gem in Kamo

I had the deluxe bedroom with ensuite. It was very comfortable. It was a cold and rainy evening, so Sue kindly lit the fire in the shared lounge. I was lucky to have a delightful English couple staying at the same time, so very pleasant. Beautiful grounds.

The furniture and decor is quite dated, and perhaps an upgrade in towels. But certainly a very comfortable unit.

The place was very clean. There was a breakfast area with tea and coffee. The place was close to town.

Wonderful garden setting for an enjoyable stay in Whangerei.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Sue is not serving breakfast any more so listings should reflect that. Despite the no breakfast, Sue's garden is wonderful and she is an excellent hostess with great tips for local restaurants and things to see in the Northland.

The bed was a bit soft and there was an uncomfortable electrical connector under the covers that I should have inquired about but did not.

The gardens were fabulous, and Sue was a wonderful host. Could not recommend this place more. Sue gave me a lift and recommendations of what to do in town. She even brought me a bag that I had left under the bed after check out. Waimoana is a lovely place, the room was wonderful and Whangerei is a great place to explore!

Sue has beautifully kept gardens to stroll through. Loved the garden art work. Sue clearly loves these gardens and it was a privlage to have the opportunity to Stoll around. High standard of cleaniless. Quiet Comfortable bed. So quiet rural type setting but so close to the shops. Sue is an exceptional host happy to have a chat but allows your privacy. I highly recommend a stay here and say hi to Smiley the dog
