Room pictures looked too good to be true, but they are real! Everything in Pallaco Gallo Resort was perfect—a crazy and fun mix of classic and modern. To start with, Mattia was so helpful and informative. He gave us a lot of tips for places, beaches, and shops and was there to help at any time. We had a wonderful time there.

Very stylish with great decor, large rooms and bathrooms. We stayed in the room with private terrace which had everything needed for a relaxing stay. The views were fantastic from the terrace.
Breakfast had plenty of choice and some choices changed daily.
Mattia was the perfect host, and gave good advice on things to do, see and the best restaurants.
Nothing it was all great.

Mattia was an amazing host and went above and beyond to make sure we found proper parking and checked us in at a very late hour (after midnight). The whole palace is very clean and has air conditioning, so the rooms are cool. The bathroom is also very clean and has everything you'd expect. The staff were also very nice and accommodating. Breakfast was good - a variety of croissants, fruit, and coffee.
There is no way to park near the palace since it's on a tiny narrow street, just like the rest of the buildings in the old town. Other than that, no complaints!

Incredible experience in a beautiful location. The Palazzo is right in the middle of the old town of Gallipoli. The room was super clean and the breakfast unreal. Mattia helped us in dropping the car and picking it up the day after. He manages the hotel in the best way possible offering top class service to the clients. The owner of the hotel should really keep Mattia in high consideration for what he does and for the way he treats clients.

An exceptionally beautiful hotel, with the most attentive, kind and helpful staff.
Our room was well appointed, with easy to use and extremely effective air con, lots of toiletries etc, free water each day and a drying rack to dry your swimming things.
Mattia was a generous host, and even dropped and collected us from the train station as the weather was so warm.
Breakfast was a different huge spread each morning, with eggs, meats, cheeses, local breads, fruit, pasties, pancakes and cereals.
Located right in the old town, we were a 15 min walk from the station, 5 minutes to the free beach and 2 minutes from the square with many restaurants.

Amazing hotel with a beautiful and unique design. Located in the old town of Gallipoli, all the restaurants, shops, etc are really nearby. We absolutely recommend this hotel.
The old town is absolutely gorgeous !
The hotel was clean, and the size of the room was really big.
A big thank you to the host, Mattia. He's been a huge help and really nice. We arrived during a big concert event, so most of the roads were closed, but he came to pick us up from the town center, sent us a list of things to do, to see, where to eat, etc.
He even arranged for us a driver on Saturday night, because we had a wedding to go to. A big thank you Mattia 🙏🏽
Old town is always busy so finding a parking spot can be difficult, but we manage to find and not too far from the hotel :)

Fantastic location and great value for money. Mattia who welcomed us was incredibly helpful, the included breakfast was wonderful and the rooms are even better than the photos. Impeccably clean and spacious. We will be back!

Mattel was very accommodating. Location in the heart of the old town was perfect. Room we had was massive. Hotel dates back to 1400’s , so loads of character. Excellent
Parking in car park near hotel needed patience

Great location in Old Town but easily accessible to local beach, fabulous restaurants and water front bars. Mattio could not do enough for us. His assistance getting car parking was so helpful plus recommendations to various amenities.

We had a great time in this fantastic apartment! Bed was comfortable, all rooms were large enough - but the terrace was absolutely fantastic - wonderful few to the sea, pretty silent an lot of space for us!
The breakfast was also great, we did not miss anything.
And finally Mattia, our host, he is really a nice guy, helpful & friendly with lots of good recommendations - thanks a lot!
Sunblind wasn`t working although I think Mattia did not mentioned that on booking.com!

Mattia, who took care of everything ,was very polite, and helpful, took our lagguage into his car and took it to the hotel, because the hotel is in the area where the traffic is limited. The location of the hotel is in the center of the old town of Gallipoli. The room is very big and spacious, the furniture is very beatiful. The posibitity of using a huge terrace on the top of the house, due to bad weather couldn't enjoy it. The breakfast was rich and delicious.

Fantastic location, right in the heart of the old town. We booked the suite which was beautiful with an amazing roof terrace - it was enormous and gave lovely views over Gallipoli. The bed was really comfortable, spacious bathroom and we had a great time here. Mattea was really helpful and welcoming and even met us at the train station. Wonderful place to stay.

The outstanding property! The best ever host Mattia, very helpful and polite! Wish we had stayed at Palazzo Gallo more than just 2 days. It was an excellent stay!

Mattia picked us up at the harbor making a parking slot available for us. He helped us with the luggage all the way to the location (5 mins walk) explaining along the way all the good things to be done in Gallipoli. Palazzo Gallo resort is just amazing. It is an historical site in the center of Gallipoli with gorgeous rooms with 30 feet high ceiling and immense bathrooms. The building has also got a wonderful rooftop for chilling at the end of a long beach day. Breakfast is also very good with local products including salty and sweet items. I can only recommend this place: central, clean, gorgeously renovated, equipped & with a perfect service provide by Mattia. I will be back for sure!

Palazzo Gallo is a perfect place for a vacation week. Location, decoration, rooms, comfort, ... everything is made with taste and care in this outstanding palace built in the 15th century in one of the charming street of Gallipoli. But all this is nothing compared to the perfect advises given by the kind Mattia - manager of the palace and native of the area - all along the duration of your stay, for any activity, restaurant or beach you would like to experiment in Gallipoli or the Puglia region. Simply exceptionnal: Rooms, beaches, water temperature, quality of the restaurants, ... everything is 10/10.
Nothing.

beautiful old palace; we stayed in the large room on the first floor, which is probably second best (there is a room with a private terrace and that is the best), but still fantastic - very comfortable, huge size, high ceilings, good en-suite bathroom, facing a quiet cobbled street
breakfast was good (for the price we paid I didn’t even expect that to be included)
staff was very friendly and helpful
all in all great value for money, felt like being in a 4* hotel but without the alienation you get in those places

The rooms were really clean and spacious.
They were supposed to organise a car to bring us to the port and the car didn’t came even after 40 minutes. they basically just told us the driver was sleeping…
The breakfast was so minimalist I don’t recommend to take breakfast there.

We are two friends who stayed in the suite with the terrace for one week - the hotel is amazing, so clean, spacious with incredible decor. Giuseppe and Marianna made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived and ensured we were well looked after thorougout the stay. Every morning at breakfast, Marianna would give us advice for our day and her recommendations were the best. Marianna is super friendly, attentive and very knowledgable of the area. The location is perfect for bars, restaurants and all the beauty Gallipolli has to offer. We had the most incredible week, thank you so much to Giuseppe and Marianna who made the holiday one to remember - Roisin & Allie.

Sorry to say that the accommodation happened to be not trustworthy which caused an awful experience in total. They checked us into the smallest room of all they have, which we haven’t even seen beforehand although we booked a specific superior suite and every room is unique there. For the second night we were moved after a long discussion and were told that the room couldn’t have been available and booking made the mistake. We escalated our complain to booking, but in the end the property stated were requested the smaller room ourselves. Shame that people try to cover their mistakes by blaming the guests and by downgrading them. Shame for the property which is a real gem but the attitude just makes you said and willing navetta to have to deal with them or recommend. Such a disappointment.
