Great breakfast with local produce.
Ideal location for all local shops & attractions
There was nothing that could have made our stay more enjoyable. Everything was first class

Free car parking on site. Comfy beds. Complimentary milk, coffee, tea, biscuits. Stylish decor in communal areas and close to the shopping/cafe areas and the beach front in Swanage.
No breakfast available. The Limes felt a bit 'corporate' to me. Nobody on site when we arrived to greet us, answer any questions face to face. I had to ask a fellow guest, who I 'happened' to run into, where the car park was and how to access it. A text was sent to inform me how to collect my room key from a coded box. It's probably a personal thing, but I prefer a more homely B&B.

Lovely comfortable room. Beautiful decor all round. Great honesty bar. 2 min walk down the hill into the centre of Swanage. Sarah was a great host. Carpark at the back of the property was a bonus

Excellent breakfast pre ordered night before and everything set up on the table when we came down, room had everything you needed and it was easy to replenish the biscuits, tea etc from the bar also the supply of fresh milk was a nice touch. the parking on site was good. The price including breakfast was very reasonable.
would have liked some tissues in the room and carrying stuff up and down the stairs to the 3rd floor deach day was hard, but that is only because Phil is a musician and carries a trolley round with instruments which cannot be left in the car and these were needed each day as we were there for the folk festival

The breakfast was excellent. Everything was very well organised. Lovely to have fresh milk in the fridge. Great to have a key and have total independence. Bed was very comfortable. Nothing more to say!
For me personally the position was rather a climb up the hill but I am 87 so not applicable to many people.

The breakfast was excellent and the location was good.
I would've preferred an en-suite.

The bar toilet was not very clean over the 2 days - also the bar stock was down on draught beer and mini Prosecco

The room was clean and spacious with large windows. The decor in the room and throughout the building was very fresh and pleasant. Breakfast was delicious with a good choice. Everything was very well organised. Sarah, one of the owners, was very friendly and helpful. We had a sea view from our side window.
The car park looked a little cramped but we easily found free parking in the street outside. As in the details, the road up to the hotel is quite steep for walking. However, the location was close to the centre and very convenient. Only one bedside light.

The accommodation was warm and peaceful. It's a great location for the centre of town, the beach and local coastal walks.
The room was smaller than expected. Perhaps booking.com could include the dimensions of the room and a phrase indicating the view from the window ( which was a roof) A small table would have been useful.

The breakfast was excellent. I had neglected to select a rate that included breakfast but the people running the B&B were happy to add this. The property was within walking distance of Swanage amenities, notably for me the Swanage Railway and was also not that far from Durlston Castle where on the first night I attended a Shanties "concert" by the Wareham Walers which was great fun. By walking I avoided moving the car.
Perhaps I had not read the specification carefully enough but was surprised to discover I did not have an ensuite bath / shower / toilet though I did have a wash hand basin in my bedroom and a bathroom / shower toilet dedicated to my room was a very short distance away and a sealed up dressing gown was made available to me. (These considerations can be increasingly important to gentlemen of a certain age!). This wasn't a major issue and I gather that the property does have a single ensuite room so on a future visit I will try to get in earlier to secure this ! On the first day I was lucky and got parked in the road outside. The next day I had to move the car and in the evening couldn't get parked outside or in the small car park at the rear. Again it would be nice to have more parking facilities but it wasn't a major issue as I parked 5 minutes away up the hill and upon leaving got all my equipment near the front door and double parked in the street briefly. Not a show stopper. Might have had to park a bit further away in high season?

This is the second time staying at the Limes and we were given a lovely large bedroom with a view over Swanage Bay.
Very clean and tidy. We appreciated the lounge area and the drinks available from the honesty bar in the evenings.

A lovely hotel, ideally located for the town and beach. Room very nice with a comfy bed and plenty of tea, coffee etc. particularly appreciated the fresh milk and decaf teabags as you rarely find these provided. Having the lounge area and small bar for use was a lovely bonus.
Like most of swanage, it’s up a big hill so if your little legs struggle with hills, be prepared!
