it was clean, breakfast was really good. Stuffs were really welcoming and always ready to help.
Nothing that bothered me

Breakfast. Service from reception.
The room was a little moist/damp from the humidity. A better air filtration system or room air purifier would improve this

The photos on the website are exactly what they are in real life unlike others with lower ratings. The location is close within walking distance to the shopping complex and subway. The staff are very helpful and also speak English.
The TV channels are limited with no paid TV channels. Regardless, we were out all day and night and wouldn't have time to watch TV anyway. Thus we missed nothing.

When we arrived we dealt with Lulu at the front desk, she was exceptional at making us feel welcomed. The hotel is well situated and was clean and comfortable. All staff were well-mannered.
My toilet was loose from the floor and the shower was difficult to switch between handheld head to ceiling head, I actually had to use the teaspoon to wedge it out. You could also hear doors slamming from neighbouring rooms.

Very friendly and helpful staff. There’s a surprisingly good coffee shop off the lobby that has really excellent chocolate biscuits. Covid testing facilities close by. Easy to get everywhere else in shanghai from the hotel too.
slightly disappointed that the building’s temple structure roof isn’t actually a temple.

Excellent executive lounge for working and nibbling
Executive lounge doesn’t have wide range of food for foreigner for snacks and very repetitive.
Rooms close to elevator suffer from noise. Guest services did kindly move me.

The room smells like cigarettes

The bed was comfortable enough. The room was quiet at night and the bathroom (shower and toilet) were small but had a decent layout. The breakfast at the hotel was decent as well. There is also a decent gym an pool as well.
The two biggest disappointments with the property were the room and the executive lounge. We had reserved an executive king size room and when we checked in we had a smaller room with a queen bed. This was quiet a let down as the reason we booked the hotel was the king size bed/room.
The second area of disappointment was the "executive" lounge. The lounge itself was comfortable enough. Not the best but not bad. Where we were disappointed was the offerings. The food service was very minimual. It was only from 530pm - 730pm. This lead to many families with small children being in the lounge. This isn't usally an issue but the lounge was not a place you could relax as there were small children yelling and running around regardless of the time we visited the lounge over the 3 days we stayed at the hotel.
In short, the lounge was NOT worth the money at all. for 2 hours of food/beverage (Adult drinks, sodas and tea were available from 10am to midnight) service a day. The beverage selection was low quality wine, spirits and beers. The food when available was okay but buffet style, not available to order fresh.
Overall the hotel is not bad but I would NEVER pay the extra money to stay in their "high end" rooms when there was not real added benefits for the money.

It’s in a nice location with some nice bars nearby.
The information given on the booking format was completely inaccurate. The photo of the room represented on the site turned out to be the chairman suite snd to the executive double double room we had booked. When we arrived that was obviously a massive discrepancy in the room we revived snd what we though we were getting. We had also tried to check in earlier but no room was available so asked to leave luggage ( this was fine) and use the spa facilities to change from travelling but the showers weren’t working so could only use the shared restroom facilities.
Another issue we had was that the bathroom ( toilet, shower) was given very little privacy from the rest of the room. It is positioned right next to the bed area with frosted glass only partially up. And the bath is just open onto the room. This was not workable for us as we were two work colleagues sharing a room.
After this initial mix up and offered a fruit plate, we asked for another room at no extra cost because of the size of the room we had received and the lack of privacy in the bathroom. They would not accommodate this. The only other option we were offered was to take an “upgrade” to the executive suite room. This was bigger but we still had the issue of needing na extra bed and the bathroom. The hotel gave us an extra bed free of charge in the “living room” area and we had to take turns leaving the room if either of us wanted to shower etc. We only stayed the one night snd went somewhere else.

The pool temperature was really nice and the changing rooms were nice and clean.
The concierge were lovely and had loads of good advice when it came to visiting Disneyland.
The executive lounge was a great place to relax after a busy day.

Good breakfast, helpful staff. Not a top hotel in Shanghai, but it is nice and clean enough for a business trip.

Have a good location and the breakfast was good
Outdated hotel, needs a big renovation. Have those connecting doors between rooms that makes you listen everything from the other room.

The pool was clean and warmer than most indoor pools in China, the gym was also well maintained. Breakfast was nice with a good selection for Western and Asian palates. For an older hotel it is very well kept, decor and fittings are of good quality. It was fine for an overnight/short stay. It was overall a nice enough stay.
The executive lounge was too small for the number of guests staying there. We had to go back to our room because it was full and wait for a table. Once in the lounge it felt very cramped as everyone was seated so close together and so we found it difficult to relax. All desserts in the longe contained nuts which is not good for guests with nut allergies. Room was not very soundproof internally, we could clearly hear conversations in the next room.
